This thing barely works. No consistent connect to cell towers. Bluetooth connection works occasionally. The red on/off button fell off. It seems to sleep and never wake up. I'll review after my flight analysis to see just how accurate this product will be.
One of the worst products I have bought in a longtime. App spans the need for a credit card even though I have my credit card online. It can never find the bag and had only worked a few times for a minute or two.
Absolutely junk. Finds the loc for about 20 seconds then says it's not on or not registered and there is zero customer support.
Unreliable. we arrived in NY with luggage, but lugloc did not show arrival. strange that it does not pick up signal in NY.
When they introduced the GEGO they changed/removed features on the LugLoc App such as the ability to see multiple devices on the same App. I certainly hope they correct this.
Every time I try and login it says connection error even with being on WiFi and 4G
I used 2 LugLoc devices recently and both of them worked flawlessly. Real piece of mind for anyone who's ever lost their luggage.
when it works, it works great. Not a reliable service at all. Sorry would LOVE to give better feedback but it is what it is. customer service is great though.
The update to the app made it useless. The find the device function does not work and the bluetooth locator is useless.
An almost useless device and a terrible app.
Id doesn t work
Bought 2 devices. Charged both. Downloaded the app. Unplugged both and waited for green light showing good signal. I bought 1 year subscription for both. Received emails verifying both. Opened the app. Tried to synch. 1st one paired with blue tooth. 2nd one needed more time. Ended up pairing manually. App "found" both within 50feet. 1st one was found using cell after I walked away. 2nd one needed more time but was finally able to find it. 2nd one repeatedly said device not activated. Still says that. Cannot check the battery condition in either one nor turn off remotely. 15 hours later neither device can be found even though both devices show green lights. Emailed support 6 times with no answer. Does not look good.
Revert to the old Bluetooth indicator. It provided a better ability to determine what direction the tag was in. The new one doesn't update fast enough.
A few hiccups getting this activated and it seems to work now but I'll know after my trip. The product is solid and the app works but this company would have avoided most of the negative reviews by just having a live customer service voice rather than making people wait for email responses
Might want to open your web browser and log onto the lug loc web site... works much better than the app....
The original app was poorly designed, but worked. Newer version us poorly designed, and very buggy. Old version used Bluetooth as a beacon to find luggage nearby. That great feature appears to be gone.
App has started crashing every time I open it. Which means that the actual lugloc devices are useless, too...
Another dodgy device that don't work
App crashes when loading the device. Impossible to use on Galaxy S7 Edge. --updated-- I contacted support and they promptly resolved the issue. So kuddos to them. APP should enable changing meaures units to meters instead of feet.
Does not work as well as previously
Website documentation says to tap the Bluetooth icon in the app but I see no evidence this icon exists?
Works as advertised, mostly. Occasionally it doesn't connect or is delayed, but 9 out 10 times it works great. I've had notifications while on the plane and Bluetooth alerts before the bag appears on the luggage carousel, which is very satisfying and reassuring. You do need mobile data or WiFi at your destination to use the app. What alerts you get does vary according to the layout and movement and phone signals at an airport, so sometimes it's more helpful than others.
