when I first started the app it looked very nice. I noticed after you passed over someone you couldn't go back you couldn't read look them over. and then my app just stopped working and disappeared. I'm trying to redownload it to see how it works this time. it should be easier to set for just local matches because after you pass over some of the locals it won't let you go back and see them again and it just shows you for far off distance.
This app claims to give you 2 weeks free trial but there is no FREE TRIAL. A free trial to me means you get to try ALL functionality but all this site allows is age and distance. You can not set preferences for ethnicity, height, or whether a member smokes unless you upgrade. It would be like taking a free test drive in a car but having to pay to use the the tyres, it would never happen. Also there is no back button so you can't take a second look unless you favourite someone. I am now deleted.
Quick, efficient, effective, easy to use, and most importantly safe as far as I can tell. it seems to be like a texting app which goes through a server so you never know the other person's phone number unless you want to share it oh, and you can always block anyone for any reason at any time. what does anyone have to lose with a service like this, particularly since it is free to use unless you want to purchase the extra features, which are not mandatory, but valuable nevertheless
Would give it a zero, but that isn't an optional. I'll attribute the one, then, to a pretty pleasant look. However, I live in the Boston area and there is never, and I mean never, anyone in my radius. I do, however, enjoy seeing my options in Ohio and West Virginia. This must be why this thing resets the distance filter to over 100 miles every time one goes in
People don't compete detail in their profile so makes it difficult to consider what you may or may not have in common. Pictures often in the distance and you can't enlarge. It is an over 50s app... so we need to zoom! Difficult to review and edit your profile or messages when more than a paragraph. Too time consuming not to come up with not a single person of interest in my state after 3 weeks of searching.
The App is very easy to use and generally all of the people provide good photographs and useful information. The only real negative is the function that tells you when one of your Favourites is online. If you've exchanged details and are then conversing off the site, it can be a little disheartening to see that they're still using the site. If you too are logged in and notice they're on line that's ok because you're both online. The function tells you when they're on line even when you're not.
It took me an hour to look thru all the men looking for dates. Only ONE was someone I'd remotely consider dating--and he isn't interested. I tried to cancel the free trial membership, but nowhere on the app are you offered that option. If you dig around, you'll eventually find a link to "Account," but it has nothing to do with canceling your account. Now I've been charged $60 for something b/c it's impossible to cancel. I am NOT happy! I'd give it -1 stars if i could. 😣
A decent app. Not overly invasive and sadly I wish that the Regional nature of the candidates was more effective at Lumens end. I'm receiving candidates from way outside of a reasonable distance but even when programmed for local areas...I'm still receiving from several states away. Perhaps the candidates are sparse in my area??? For that reason alone I cant give it a better rating? I think so...!!! You have a chance try it for free or pay a reasonable sum for certain features. I would recommend
"Distance from you" search range resets automatically to 100+ miles. Whenever you set search range to a few miles, the application blithely ignores this and defaults to 100+ mile range, quite good if you are looking to meet someone from Scotland or further afield, but a tad frustrating if you are searching for someone more local.
terribly experience. I watched and add with a guy in his 50s, he stressed that it was free. I downloaded it to check it out and sooo untrue. You can not do anything if you don't pay, bombarded with notifications that you need to pay to access them...honestly a waste of time unless trying an app means paying first. Plenty of more transparent apps in the market now.
Met nice people but very sneaky in how they collect your payment info yet don't tell you that you are subscribing. Supposed to get a certain number of messages per day for free. WTH? And now I'm trying to unsubscribe and interestingly there isn't a place to do that. If it weren't for their sneaky and unprofessional business promises and leaving out info, I'd say go for it but since this business is not translucent and not trustworthy, NO WAY!
Ugh. As of this writing, there is no way to limit by distance, therefore I'm receiving listings anywhere from 80-200+ miles away. I find this incredibly annoying, and I know how simple it would be to fix, so can only decide that the developers simply do not care. Were zero stars an option, that's what this app would receive.
many technical problems. keeps reverting back to same page. very difficult to use for someone over 50. my kids in there 20s have tinder and said that was so much easier. really user unfriendly app. many hoops to jump through just to create a profile that can't be deleted and doesn't work properly.
This is a misleading app. I never agreed to go Premium but they charged me. I didn't know they took my money until I got a notification from PayPal. It says plan free trial set but even before the trial goes to expire they charged me. I was never interested to go Premium. I want my money back, simple.
Why can I not use this on my computer? I have it on my phone but most people are very far away from me even with the distance filters. Also it seems many are already in a relationship. This is not a good way to establish TRUST! I understand you are not responsible for others actions. It's cool one can message 6 people per day. But if someone favorites you, you have to pay to see who it was. I too accidentally scrolled past a prospect, now I will never know! Very disappointing app! But take heart, I've found this with other high paying apps also. I've stopped paying big amounts of money for more disappointment. Warmly, Kym
Will not let me upload photos other than that of myself. Surely 2 or 3 selfies should be sufficient. Why not allow say 3 or 4 photos of places I've been to. Surely that would make for a more interesting profile than 6 vain photos all of my ugly face. In addition why not allow searches by postcode as an alternative to GPS. I'm in Australia but would like to start searching now in anticipation of my return in 2 weeks. Uninstalled. No response from dev.
Some silly-looking profiles of landscapes, animals, multi-persons and 'embellished' pictures but other than that, the format is confusing...because 'notifications' are not notifications. Overall, nice idea, but maybe the format is too different from Bumble, Tinder, etc...?
the app is very easy to use you can make people to your favorites or send a message the communication goes very smoothly it also gives you the option to delete a conversation that you might not have enjoyed or to block somebody who's extremely annoying. it's like Tinder but for old people and I am old
Generally not a bad app. There are a few points that need to be addressed. The first is that messages I send or receive, often have the last line missing, especially longer ones. Secondly, if I drive out of my area due to work etc and check the app, it now picks up people from the area I'm in or, the distance resets itself from what I have set to 100 miles. Apart from these annoying flaws it's not too bad though.
