Amazing experience, great visual! One big deal breaker though, the game doesn't take the entirety of the screen and that botaches the experience a little bit. Wouldn't be a big deal if the game was free, but for a premium game it kind of is.
The game is beautifully designed and the puzzles were challenging, but the black boxes really made it hard to figure out what was happening. Multiple times in The Town riddle I got confused because the coat hanger was just a black box (nothing to indicate that was the right thing to click). I stopped playing because it became such a nuisance and was no longer fun with all those black boxes.
Love this game but all these black boxes started showing up when it is susposed to be transparent. I'm stuck at the crane level because half my screen goes black. This is a five star game once the bugs are fixed. I want to finish playing it but it is impossible when half the screen is black and I can't see the puzzle. Please fix this game is actually fun.
I love this game. I played it when it came out on ios and it was amazing. Unfortunately, there are bugs in Android. It seems that entities with a transparent background are instead displayed with a black background. This can at time completely obscure the player character. I hope the devs can fix this bug and restore the game to its 5 start quality.
Beautiful game with occasionally frustrating game play mechanics, mostly due to the size of the targets you have to interact with. It is a shame that there isn't a zoom mechanism as a lot of the detail of Lumino City is lost when playing on a phone, and it can be hard to see what you should be tapping on - several times I found objects by random or accidental taps. The typography and layout of the Handy Manual are beautiful. Kudos to the designers.
Visually one of the best games I think I've ever played, and the music is wonderfully relaxing and atmospheric. However overlaying issues means that a lot of items are surrounded by black blocks (a bug of some kind) and this blocks off certain viewpoints making the game really difficult to enjoy. Will change to 5 star if these issues are fixed.
Beautiful Disaster, Really want to play this but it is unplayable with those black boxes. It's really a shame for the creators, because it really is a beautiful and intriguing game but it seems like the devs really do not care since this bug has been talked about for a year now. A YEAR. Do not waste your money or time, luckily I had the free trial pass with Google play.
Great game non existant support. I was really enjoying this game as a different take on the old puzzle adventure genre. As the game progressed, in some levels I started getting black rectangles over some of the puzzle areas which got a lot worse as it went on. 2 emails with details & screenshots sent to devs & not even the decency to answer. The problem is now so bad, I cannot finish the game. Thanks for nothing. I have a Galaxy Tab S7+ so should be more than capable of gameplay.
Really pretty game. I really liked the set and the music. I had no issues with bugs. What lets it down for me is the puzzles. Too many require you to use a book as a reference. There were too many instances of having to copy patterns from a book. Equally, other puzzles were really entertaining and satisfying. The lack of consistent puzzle qualities really hurt the gaming experience.
Absolutely gorgeous game, charming narrative and an excellent sense of wry humour. Unfortunately I'm rating 3 stars purely on technical grounds as it's also riddled with bugs, as far as I can tell. I had to reboot the game several times as the player character or occasionally the whole game froze with no way of proceeding. The game is also a little odd in terms of 3D perspective, it's sometimes difficult to tell if a ledge or object is in reach, and directing the character can be tricky.
I really love this game, however, the app started to get super buggy recently. For example, black boxes would appear around objects I need to move to solve a puzzle or the object wouldn't show up at all. At times, even characters are obscured. I feel like I'm having to fight through bugs in order to complete level, not complete puzzles. If it's a compatability issue or a patch is needed/available I'd like to know. If not, I'll have to delete it.
Interesting and very relaxing. Certainly is different to other games and it takes some getting used to aswell. This must have taken many hours each day to create a model and then film it. The only hitch I find is that it can be very difficult to know what to do, especially when some of the items to pickup are not exactly easy to spot. A zoom in feature would help. Otherwise, very good indeed!
I really like the concept of a game world set in something that was built in real life. The aesthetic reminds me of iSpy books a little. Puzzles aren't too difficult, goes kind of fast. But oof, the part where you play the song was downright annoying. You have to go back through the whole thing every time you mess up, and you only "practice" it once, so you don't know the next part and you end up doing it over and over and over. I ended up writing the notes down.
What a fun point and click puzzle game. I love that the scenery was handmade! The handy manual is a nice hint system but I don't care to have to click 300, 400, 500+ times to find the correct page. I understand it's to deter people from using it but it is really ineffective when a walkthrough is just a few clicks away via Google search.
I can imagine that this would be a beautiful game but the black-box glitch is so aesthetically jarring and breaks game play. It is near-impossible to solve some of the puzzles when large sections of the screen are blocked by opaque black boxes. Echoing what others have said; wait until it is fixed. It's a shame to miss out on enjoying the hand-crafted world from an error.
I just downloaded the game recently and I can't play it? The great puzzle has been solved a few times now but nothing ever comes of it, there's black boxes over moveable pieces, dialogue shows when it wants, and the character will just disappear sometimes. I wish it were playable.
Great story plot and puzzles. Sadly there were many glitches of the black backgrounds blocking the graphics, causing a lot of difficulty in the gameplay. Amazing that I even managed to complete some of the puzzles with pretty much all the clues blocked 🤦♂️ hope the developers improve on that, else I would think it's not worth paying for it.
Absolutely amazing puzzler!! I went from five to three because the game went from flippin' awesome to downrignt unplayable. There are now black boxes around the puzzles that make it impossible to interact with anything so that you can progress. Uninstalled. Sad because it started off so dang cute and unique.
What a wonderful little game this is! Completely unique, beautifully made and absolutely lovely to play. Loved the little cute character Lumi and really enjoyed her journey. Using a manual for hints was an excellent idea, although a helpful walkthrough was sometimes needed. Puzzles were all part if the story and were enjoyable to do. This game will now join the very few that truly deserve a place in the annuls of gaming history. A huge thank you and a massive well done to designers.
This game is severely glitched. All of the items that you can interact with has a black box around them. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and it didn't work. It's too bad because it seemed like a good game. This glitch makes the tire patch puzzle more difficult because I can't clearly see where the holes are.
I absolutely LOVE this game. I search & search for games like this. (Machinarium, antventor, etc) there are few like this & this is one of the best. One question tho, noodlecake has a ton of other games. Why is this the only one like it? I don't like action games. I love the casual, puzzle adventure escape type games. PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER. I don't even mind paying for GOOD games. Add another chapter to this one? That would be awesome.
Obviously beautiful game but the detail is somewhat lost on a small phone screen. In general the puzzles are fun and reasonably challenging with some difficulties from hard to read text. One hint, when you get to the Morse code, it doesn't work if you haven't taken the page from the book whether you need the reference or not. All in all fun, but I think I would have rather paid more for it on Steam to enjoy the detail on a large screen.
In a way, it's Myst, but with people around to help tell the story. The story is cute, the art design of the town ('paper animation', if you will) is inspired, and the mechanical nature of the puzzles feels pleasantly fresh and different. No deductions for length of game or being left wanting more. Given all the detail included, to complain about that is to miss the point.
Incredible adventure game with a great story, beautiful visuals and a logical but challenging puzzles. It's only let down by the fact that little consideration has been put into the port to a mobile display size. It can be incredibly difficult sometimes to see, and a magnification function would really have helped. Game 10/10, Controls 2/10. You have to work hard to play it, but it's 100% worth the effort
An absolute masterpiece of game design. The blend between the intricately hand made models and the animated environment provides an experience that is unmatched to date. Lumino City is probably one of the most beautiful places you can visit, right up there with Monument Valley. And as for the puzzles, the game throws at you a variety of challenges. The variation of the puzzles make sure that it never gets repetitive. Difficulty level is right at the sweet spot I think. Words are literally not enough to describe the experience this game gives. Should it even be called a game?
The game has beautiful graphics and the puzzles are fun yet challenging. My only critique of the game is that the manual that you're given to solve the puzzles has almost 1000 pages and most of them are repeat pages, but the biggest headache is that when you get to the last page in the manual it doesn't then go to page 1, instead you have to backtrack through every previous page. If there were a way to fix this then the game would be perfect.
I loved this game. The story, puzzles and gameplay were excellent. The cons for me- the purpose of the handbook wasnt obvious to me, and I often wasnt sure of my objective in some rounds, which confused things. I do recommend playing on a computer or tablet; it was sometimtes hard to read on a phone. Oh and top tip- there is a way to quickly move through the book! Hold your pointer over the edges.
It's a beautiful game, but it really has not been optimized to play on mobile phones. There are at least two puzzles that can't be solved because the in-game inventory menu blocks part of the written clues. A lot of the text is microscopic because it was originally meant for bigger screen, but you don't have a zoom option. The click points are also incredibly fiddly. I do appreciate the design and the clever in-game hint manuel.
Firstly, the models are incredible! It's absolutely amazing to see so much talent go into creating physical models for an app! Stunning work. The story is beautiful, the music is lovely, and the puzzles are just the perfect difficulty (the bonus of the book to help is nice). My one and only complaint would be that flipping through the book for hints/help takes FOREVER because there is no quick way to get to specific pages.
An amazing game ! I loved it on computer but it is even a better experience on a tablet ! Worth the price of course ! The only downside I can see is that it is not a perfect experience on a phone due to the point and click experience more difficult to experience accurately (the screen of a phone is too small I think) Thanks for porting the game on android store !
