A pretty cool app. Really cool saying Lumos and Nox to turn on your flashlight. but I think you could use some minor touch-ups. Sometimes it picks up my voice sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it seems like there's a delay every now and then. Overall it's pretty cool app.
It turns on and off on command flawlessly. My problem is that even after having turned the flashlight off and pulled up a different app the lumos app has commandeered the mic. So if I try to talk to text or "ok google" search it says "can't open mic". Since Google will now turn on and off your flashlight useing the same commands this app can go.
Lumos is an amazing app works from a far distance the command 'Lumos' doesn't always work first time but all together a grate app no complaints, great for Harry Potter nerds/fans like myself. 5 stars. Definitely download it's absolutely amazing, I've found no other flashlight like it
The first time I tried it, it didn't work. I was in the middle of writing a review when suddenly the light turned on. It seems to respond to my voice commands (better than other apps I've tried) but it's weird that it lagged for so long on the first try. Love it otherwise.
I love the app but it keeps turning on and off even when i'm not saying any voice commands. I disabled shake and tap and hold controls but it still goes on and off on its own. Still giving it 5 stars tho, just because i love the idea of saying Lumos and Nox :D
The app is simply awsome, although it could get some improvement, for example : the voice command isnt properly working(for me nox always works, but lumos doesn't). You could also add more features, like choosing the wand(even a short intro where the wand chooses you at oliwanders xD), and then add some spells like, lumos for the wand to light up,umas máxima in order to turn on the flashlight, etc. Anyway... Great job😉
Disappointing. Voice command did not work. Shake did not work. I hoped it would access the camera light on my phone too - that would have been really cool, actually using my phones torch feature. Unfortunately I'm underwhelmed and I'm uninstalling the app...
I loved this, but I took off a star because I really wish we could change the wand. I love Harry, but sometimes you just want a different wand. It's a great app anyway, even if the voice command is a little off. I will continue using it because it is such an awesome thing in my eyes.
I recommend this with all my life! ITS AMAZING! Yes sometimes the voice don't pickup but when I do a squeaker voice it can work. The app is so fun and it works if your not even on the app but the tab has to be open.overall it's the no.1 flashlight I have ever seen especially good for Harry Potter fans😁💖
There's no accurate when recognizing the word Lumos. I can make different sounds and it will turn on and turn off the light. // Falta precisión al momento de reconocer la palabra. Puedo decir cualquier cosa y así se enciende y apaga.
Asked for private information on my phone (was unable to deny access on my older device) as well as permission to record voices, videos, take photos, look at my contacts and media, etc. Also, it doesn't work on my Samsung Galaxy S7 device. It made one small noise and shut down.
There is nothing like harry potter in this world#harry potter fan AND ALSO FANTASTIC BEASTS IS ALSO BULLSHIT..... BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING LIKE HARRY POTTER IN THIS WORLD AND I MISS YOU FOREVER UNTIL I DIE.... IF AGREEE THEN HIT LIKE
It stays on for about a minute before turning off, even if your screen is still on. Also if I want it to work properly, instead of saying "Lumos" with correct Latin pronunciation of the vowels, I have to pronounce it so that it rhymes with hummus. Fail.
This is my new favorite flashlight app! The UI/UX is wonderful and it works like a charm; I haven't tried the shaking method because my phone doesn't have a gyroscope feature, but the voice command works fine so far. Interestingly, though, it only seems to understand me when I whisper the spells. The only thing I wish for is to be able to move it to my SD card as my phone has very limited internal memory. Other than that, this app is fantastic!
I'm having difficulty to turn the light on by saying the keyword "Lumos": sometimes it works, most of the times it doesn't. The hand-shaking also is being hard to activate, at least for me. But the design is nice (not something old and outdated like most of Harry Potter related apps I found out there, but something verging on the material design) and, in general, the idea is great and I can see the possibility of something big coming out of it. Congratulations and keep up the good job!
It's okay but has some issues. It shuts off flashlight when screen locks. After i unlock it it shows as the light is still on but it isn't. Altrough its still works if i say nox then lumos again when screen goes off. It's not working in background if it should. Voice recognision should be a bit better if its possible, at least for lumos command, i have to repeat it few times sometimes, with same voice.
The app is very well designed and its simplicity makes it easy to use. But the microphone part is not very good as it does not always work when i say "Lumos" and it more than sometimes turn on by just hearing random things like if the television is on or there's someone talking around it might mistake a sound with "Lumos" and turn Flashlight on. I left my phone in the living room next the TV and family, came back to find the flashlight on.
_, I love the idea and the relationship to Harry Potter but this app hardly ever works. It doesn't recognize my voice although it does work with the "nox" command but hardly ever turns on with a voice command or with shaking. Very disappointing.
What a magical app. It's cool to say Lumos and then your flashlight comes. If you say NOx cz your flashlight gets turned off
It responds well to my voice command to turn on, but when I intend to turn it off, it only blinks. The shake command activates in my pocket unless I fully close the app.
Very good idea but many a times it does not pick up the "lumos" word and you have to manually turn on the flashlight
I had a lot of fun with it when I first downloaded it, but the light turns itself on frequently, even with my screen locked. It makes it's noise every few minutes. I have no choice but to uninstall.😔
This is the best Lumos app out there but to make it over the top, you should make it to where the app actually turns on and off the flashlight on smartphones. Also adjust the sensitivity on the voice recognition. I think its too sensitive.
The idea of the app is good. I think one bug that should be fixed is that the commands are not always responsive.
I liked this flashlight application. It actually makes you feel like a witch or a wizard.Saying Lumos and Nox feels so cool. Its only flaw is taht the microphone does not seem to work at times.Otherwise its totally great. And it would be cool if you could add more wands and also if it could be silent if we say silencio.Hope you look at this problem.
brilliant! I feel lucky to have found this lil app.. As is, I yelled outloud and used it several times when I realized that it really works.. haha I even shouted Lumos Maxima.. and still it works.. haha I'm so happy.. this is brilliant indeed!!! bloody hell.. haha. TO THE DEVELOPER. hopefully you could have some upgrades like having choices of the wand and background.. thank you
It was good.. But the real problem is that it turns on even without saying lumos.. Pretty annoying really if you won't notice that your phone's flashlight is on.. I love the idea though but hopefully you can get this fixed.. Until then..
I saw this app and thought COOL downloaded it and it then it won't work as a flash light and turns on the app (not light on) randomly it's junk I have the Samsung Galaxy s5
I'm in love with Harry Potter, and I absolutely love the fact that I can perform a spell and get results. However, it is the touchiest speech command ever. While I found it funny when it turned on when Harry was saying 'Lumos' at the start of Prisoner of Azkaban, I did not find it funny when it subsequently turned on a million times after. Not even to words that have any apparent relation to Lumos. My dog was drinking water, and it literally turned on. Kind of disappointing.
