UPDATE: Apparently I just had a bad AlbumArtist tag, the app works perfectly. Old review: Works perfectly for my needs. Only gripe is that for some reason this client doesn't have an option to show compilation albums as a single album, but as the same album separated by artist. Other than that this app is great.
PoE + ethernet + raspberry pi + hibery dac 192khz 24bit + alsa&pulseaudio soxr resample + 2x3W hifi amp A-class + MPD + 192khz flac 24bit + MALP = extasy sound and comfort... Need all extinf fields from m3u playlist like icons and internet radio names, grouping etc.. When I save songs in saved playlist the EXINF are lost. New playlist should copy all EXTINF from old playlist.
Once I go into the song view, I can't return. There's no way to report this issue anywhere else than here.
Super functional and clean. Cannot think of any other free apps having this level of quality! Making my music server optically connected to stereo so much easier to use.
Almost there. Needs a "list by Genre" mode, I use that a lot in MPDroid, also doesn't put folders with special characters at the top of the list, eg folders starting with a square bracket. Making it an option to view lists compact would also be appreciated. Is it also possible to pull album artwork from tag or folder.jpg in file/folder instead of online? Profiles for multiple MPD servers is why I want to switch to this Client. Would love to see these features, thank you.
Perfectly does the job. The most complete mpd client I have seen so far. The integration with the notification panel and the control of volume with the button with the buttons even when the screen is locked are amazing features.
I use it with my Audiophonics Raspdac running MoOde. I certainly appreciate all the work that must of gone into developing it. As others have mentioned it would be nice to be able to download/display the album cover from the mpd.
Works well for controlling mpd. However, http streaming seems to be broken. Music doesn't actually start playing until stopping the stream. I see that others have the same issue on gitlab.
The one and only usable client for MPD. Every feature works as expected. There is only minor nit: defaul image for album (two notes) are to high and one should always sweep it up to see details of currently played song.
great interface except for confusing unhinted modalities, lack of previous screen memory in certain places. playlist view refreshes unreliably. love the artist/album view. would love to see more fleshed out playlist manipulation
Easily the best, most functional MPD control app of all the Android apps I've tried (many). The only one that actually read and works with my .m3u playlists. Finally. Would donate if there were a way indicated.
No issues. Visually a great experience. Just needs a by genre organization
Almost perfect! I use it to control mpd with moode audio player on raspberry pi. It gives me additional possibilities in comparison to the moode player. This app is very very good! :) Thank you.
Powerful client for mpd. One of the best music software I have used. Good balance between functionality and easy of use.
Used to be a great app for controlling my Chord Mojo/Poly but bugs were never fixed and every update breaks it further. Such a shame.
Seems stable, UI gets most things done quickly, seems fast and responsive. Works great
Awesome app. My poly/mojo is a temperamental thing but this app sweet talks to Poly. Chordelectronics should be talking to these developers as they're both looking to the future
No Genres support? Why? How you call it fully functional MPD client if you don't implement this simple filter?) Otherwise great client!
Great MPD or Mopidy client for Android with all the features one would want or expect from it! Highly recommend this one.
Best MPD controller, and once you tag you music files using Picard, it gets even better with links to external websites at your fingetip.
Great client for mpd. It works as it is intended. Thanks a lot to the developer/s!
Nearly perfect. What I couldn't get to work is the internal stream player.
Worked great as a remote. Easy setup. Looked beautiful.
My experience of this app has been excellent. I love the interface which I feel is the real strong point of this app. I am using it with mopidy and the mopidy-soundcloud plugin and it works brilliantly. I find the interface quick to use as you can easily switch between now playing and search with a quick swipe. Seems to be pulling down album covers for me so not sure why some have said this is not working.
