Love the game, beautiful graphics. Reminds me of "Beneath the steel sky". Completed it in a day but I think I used the walkthrough on almost every level. Theres a nice little platform game to get it. The puzzles were just too hard and I was too impatient. I think if I took my time I would have eventually solved them...but probably would have just given up. Also, the last puzzle being musical is a little crazy. I didn't have my sound loud enough to notice that it was happening.

Love this game. Love how challenging it is and love every aspect of it. The visuals and sound effects made this game a whole lot better. One thing i would recommend is to make the items in the inventory more accessible. Clicking on the star and dragging the items from the top corner is rather tedious especially when im playing on a tablet. Overall, good game. Worth my money.

Overall a fantastic game, but had some issues with on-screen controls. On-screen buttons can be too precise at times forcing you to be pixel perfect; there was one puzzle with a static joystick that would have been much nicer if it was floating (just feels more comfortable being able to touch anywhere). Apart from that, some puzzle elements were a little hard to see but that of course would vary with device size. Still, I absolutely loved the game; the art, animation, and sound are fantastic.

I love this game. The puzzles, the game play, the music, the art, it's all AMAZING. But on mobile, the minigames, especially the space invaders one, are very hard because of the buttons. If it is possible to improve this, it would make it much more enjoyable to play. Thank you for making yet another breathtaking game, Amanita Design!

Great game! Only complaints is the puzzles are so abstract sometimes that you have to look at the hint book more than you should. Most times to complete a puzzle you need an item from a few areas ahead and finish those puzzles before you can complete the earlier one. And it's short, a few hours, which I expected, I wanted to enjoy the world more tho. Great atmosphere and music, very good visuals. Worth your time for sure!

Beautiful artwork, but the puzzles are solved more by random actions than by thinking things through. Even with a walk through some of it still doesn't make sense. Plus the objects you need to interact with blend into the background so you dont notice them unless you know to look for them. I also had a lot of trouble with selecting items where it would register me selecting something near by or not register it at all. However that may be an issue with my device and not the game.

This game has a really neat artstyle and music. At first everything felt unsettling to me, but later I came to care about the characters and there are funny moments. The puzzles are cool but too tricky sometimes (maybe just me, so I'm glad there's the hint book. The 5 in a row seems impossible to win without the help of an online 5 in a row that you can put the robots answers in. I haven't finished the game, but so far it's really good if you like point and click puzzle games with a unique feel.

I really wanted to love this one, but the controls are at times infuriating. Touch accuracy is all over the place, owing to the game's original inception as a PC game using mouse input. Some hit boxes are just too small to tap with a finger/thumb with any reliability, and I'm not using a device with a tiny screen by any means. It's also really hard to discern what objects can actually be interacted with at all, resulting in random pecking around the screen in the hope that something happens.

Artwork, music, ambience was fantastic. Only thing which I didn't like was that there is no way to cancel an action. Like if I accidentally clicked on a point where I didn't want the player to go then it will stop only when it has reached the end of that action. There were few quips like this which made the gameplay a little frustrating at times. The hint and walkthrough system was very good.

Great came. Really cute. Puzzles were difficult enough, and the game was just long enough. I had to use the hints a few times, which require to play a brief platformer type shooting game to get the hints. Very cute. Even on my S9+, the graphics seemed too small, and zooming isn't enough in many cases, to see things that need to be handled or picked up. Game controls, particularly for the maze game near the end and the space Invaders arcade game could use some improvement.

The music, art, puzzles and hints in this point & click adventure game are for the most part amazing. The three problems I have with it are: 1 - Some things you interact with look like they're a part of the background too much. It's good for immersion but not for a puzzle game. 2 - There's an annoying high pitched noise in the elevator. I had to turn off the sound for that part. 3 - Controls and hitboxes are pretty bad. This is what makes the first issue problematic. Definitely worth the money.

The graphics and story are lovely, but the game play is terrible. Really obscure objectives and tasks, where even the hints didn't make sense. Really long walks up and down stairs etc. Difficult to find the item to interact with. Having to play mini games with glitchy controls. I was playing on a tablet, which should have been fine. I gave up, even though i really didn't want to.

The game is pretty good, yet there are minigames that I think are neither necessary nor plain nor puzzle. The first arcade machine is just space invaders, that's it, and you need to score 1000 points which is too much, I want to play a quest, not arcade. The other one is at the end where you need to defeat 40 enemies inside a maze, it isn't even hard, just boring. I don't understand why you would need to press the elevator button, it's small and hard to tap, instead the whole door area.

Beautifully drawn graphics and cute characters, I loved the Machinarium world and attention to detail (eg the funny sounds and cool music). I agree with some reviews about the touch screen controls being tricky at times, and some of the puzzles are hard to solve but it's worth sticking with it - you can get the hang of it. I did find a bug though (playing on a Huawei tablet) the radio in the end scene misses out the first 2 notes, so I had to look up the correct sequence.

A great puzzle game. The art style and music is really cool and I like the characters a lot! You'd really care about robots. Plus the story is interesting and funny, and the ending is nice. I think a few of the puzzles are too hard like the 5 in a row, but I thought most were fun and creative. If you don't like puzzles that can take some time, this game might not be as fun for you, but I think it's great! The only thing is for small phones, some objects/buttons in the game are small to tap.

this game is fiddly to control on a phone, but if you persevere you get the hang of it. It's really beautifully drawn and I love the sound design and music. The puzzles are quite hard but fun. My biggest problem is that there aren't enough clues in the game to help you work out what you have to do next which is very frustrating and I had to keep going back to the clue book, walkthroughs and forums for help which is less satisfying than being able to figure it out yourself. Would recommend though.

Fantastic game but the clues can be very vague you have to have some time and patience at your disposal if you want to get through without throwing your phone out the window but once solved the puzzles are satisfying. Controls are a bit messy but not too much of an issue, mini games within the puzzles are fun especially the last one. A nice sweet story ties everything together. If you like puzzle-adventures, this should be tried. Oh and the soundtrack is absolutely awesome!

Beautiful game with some very cool, challenging puzzles. Only let down by some fiddly controls. Press the wrong area and send your character in the wrong direction and you need to wait it out until he stops. You can't correct it until the animation stops. If you can see past these minor issues you will really enjoy this game.

It's just gorgeous! An astounding graphics, a gripping plot, an interesting and rich soundwork, a good old sense of humor—all these points give us an exceptional gameplay experience. Machinarium is not just pleasing aesthetically, but causing a great deal of compassion. Hat off, it's nothing less than a piece of art. Thank you, developers! PS And yes, touch controls are much much handier than a mouse emulation!

Well as much as I really like the whole idea and storyline I had to abandon this game because of things that made me almost throw my phone. Controls are buggy as hell - often I would do everything correctly and the character was showing me that, that's impossible, so I was tapping basically everything thinking that I made mistake, before finally giving up and using a walkthrough. AND THEN THE WALKTHROUGH SAYS THAT I WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING FROM THE BEGINING and the game is just buggy. Also, some of the puzzles are very tiring - and I have nothing against challenging puzzles - but some of them (like tic-tac-toeish game in a bar) are just close to being impossible. Instead of enjoying the game, I was just sitting there for about an hour trying to solve it before getting irritated and eventually loosing interest and abandoning the game. Sadly I just leave this game unfinished, maybe with some updates I will get back to it someday.

I didn't get to finish this on PC because I lost my save, so I was so glad to see it here. It's such a charming game that's way too short (still a good price, but I just want more of the world!). This version worked very well, especially when I accidentally discovered "cursor mode," which lets you move a cursor around the screen like a mouse and took a lot of guesswork out. Great puzzles, fantastic art, all around great game. More please.

Beautiful game and I really wanted to rate it higher. It's a good level of difficulty if you enjoy adventure puzzle games. Unfortunately the controls really let it down and spoils the enjoyment of the game. It's hard to tell what objects can be interacted with and some things are just way too small on my screen. You can tell it was designed for the PC with mouse input. Finally there was a sound based puzzle which would cause problems for the hard of hearing.

I loved this game on my PC, the drawings and music are beautiful. Puzzles interesting and wornderful. However, an app keeps shutting down every single time when a cat chases out the mouse from street musicians pipe... This happened already 5times and it happens exactly after this move.. It's such a shame, hope it could be fixed After re-installing the game bug was fixed and I could enjoy the game fully. Very intersting and enjoyable game!

One of the best games I ever played. The artwork is simply fantastic! The storyline, puzzles, gameplay mechanics and the soundtrack are equally praiseworthy. The game is truly one of a kind in the experience that it offers. Hope that a second version is released based on what happened after the copter crashes into another robot in the end credits. Also looking to buy other games from Amanita Design :)

Nice graphics and interesting puzzles. Sometimes it is almost impossible to figure out what helps you getting forward, but you can get hints for everything, so it is solable eventually. The solutions are sometimes unexpected and the behavior of the character is designed with good humor. It would be great to have Machinarium 2.

Do not buy this game unless you're on a computer screen! Graphics, art & concept are astounding except the fact you can't make out what 1/2 the pieces are much less what to do w/ them. Items you need to find &/or interact w/ blend into the scenery too much! The puzzles were more difficult than need be because of what I stated above. Very frudstrating at times. Sweet story but I didn't enjoy the game overall, at least not on a Samsung pad & I've played dozens of these type games. My 2 cents worth
