Mackie Master Fader 5

By far the most intuitive and easy-to-use app to get complete control of the mix. I've been using the DL series and S for 5 years now, hundreds of shows. All the issues people are having below about connectivity are most likely problems with their router ( don't use the onboard) and using older tablets. Make sure you are using new technology if it's important to you that it works right, 10 yo ipads just won't cut it.

Downloaded this to my S7. I made sure the app didn't need to update. Connected to the "MixWithMackie" router. App can't detect the mixer. Turned cell off-on. Nope, didnt work. Uninstalled-reinstalled the app. Nope, still not detecting the mixer (DL1601). Forced app off. Reopened. Nope. Turned wifi off-on again. Nope. Gave up. Everyone in the band with iPhone had no problems. Only me. Looked everywhere for a solution and saw lots of folks had the same with no answers either (Btw, 500 wor lim suk)

No DL32R support! It is astonishing how mackie thinks they can compete in the digital world. They won't make an app to connect to their existing products. I have seen them not advertise in trade magazines while other digital desks are. I used to support and recommend them. Now I am on the fence. They say it is coming. But they have been saying that for years.

HORRIBLE!!! one day it connects , next day it doesn't!!! I have 3 android pads and only one will connect fully but only half the time. I've tried to connect to my router and update firmware for the master fader app 4 times and even forced it by pushing the stupid button. I've tried to contact Mackie tech but I have a better shot at going to outer space. I can NOT use this on a gig!!! too many issues and not dependable. I wish I had read the reviews first !!!

After multiple installs/uninstalls & reboots Master Fader will only display a solid black (or sometimes white) screen. No splash screen, no "unable to connect" message, just a blank black (or sometimes white) screen. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to adjust my OS settings to get the app to load? I've never experienced an app that behaved like this.

This is a no-nonsense incredibly full featured mixing top for the Mackie DL series. I've thoroughly enjoyed using it with both iPads and with Samsung tablets and I'm still learning how to use all the parts of the application with my Samsung phone. How do you get I've done professional audio and used Mackie products for years. This is a wonderful evolution of all the products that I've had the pleasure to use.There are no ads or other nonsense in this app!

Got my new DL32S mixer today. Connected to onboard wifi. Got a message that the firmware needed to be updated but could only be done with a tablet or PC. Well I don't have a tablet and I could not find any info online to update the DL32S mixer. I hope you get your stuff together Mackie! I've been waiting for this for 5 months and now it doesn't work out of the box. Update: So I bought an android tablet after contacting Mackie support and expressing my displeasure not being able to use a phone for updates and full control. The connection was flawless and the control is good. One thing I'd like to see is a single page for FX send faders for each FX. 5 stars if this feature is added.

Great iPad app but lack of DL1608 support on Android has me on a bind occasionally when a backup controller is required. Acquiring another compatible Apple device might help but trying not to add too much cost to what is intended to be a budget system. Looking forward to the next update!

I've had the Axis System (DL32R and DC 16) for years now. Kind of disappointed that they were not supported out of the gate on this major version. As much money as we spent on this system, one would think Mackie would want their Axis customers to be happy and prioritize this system (the most expensive.) It was originally slated to be last in line, then the release notes said it was off of the table completely. Now, with no real announcement, it works. I had to come back and change my rating.

Still waiting for the Android compatibility with the DL1608.... (it's July 2019). My old brick iPad is losing battery and I bought a new Galaxy tablet (as all of my devices are Android) to use with the DL1608. I've reverted back to an old analogue console now and patiently wait the ability to control my digital desk with an Android device. Sigh.

Mackie announced the roll out of this app for Android last year with roll out for Android and PC to be at the end of 2018. We are now in the 2nd quarter of 2019 with no update to the roll out. Hardly transparent. I have stopped using both of my DL1608s because of ipad sync issues and have migrated to Behringer, which provides a lot more bang for the buck. If they ever decide to roll this app out I may dust off my Mackies and give it a try, but I am beyond tired of waiting.

Can only use this app on the most recent android OS, dont waste your money unless you are going to upgrade to the latest android products. And yes Mackue I know your sorry for my disappointment and you have tried to be as transparent as possible. I am still recommending those in the live music scene around here avoid your products.

Very disappointed with Mackie. I highly recommend staying away from their DL series or anything related to their master fader 5 app. Using a DL32r as a mixer with an ipad to control it all. I have been using this system two years. Pressure is pushing me to sell the system and move to another brand. Mackie has promised 5.1 for too long and I can no longer wait. Will NEVER recommend Mackie. This total lack of support, and lies on the 5.1 release has my complete loss of confidence in their brand.

Very frustrating. Purchased my DL32S. I was told on one of their YouTube videos that there is Mac and PC compatibility. It was even printed on the box. Then I went on the website and it said 5.1 will be release in JULY!!. It's nearly mid April and not even details on beta 5.1. I will be returning the product since I can't use it until July anyway.

This software works great when it decides to detect my church's DL32R hardware, but unfortunately that is a rarity at best - idk if it's a problem with my Pixel device or Android 11 something else - every other device works but mine.

Desperately need this app to support use of 1608 device. I've been waiting for over a year now and it still says "in future update". Flying cars seem to be arriving sooner than Android ability to control Mackie 1608.

UTTERLY HORRIBLE the support for mediatek processors for the dl32r controller is completely horrible, it instantly crashes upon loading the controller for the dl32r. It seems like the app only works on snapdragon,apple bionic, Kirin phone processors and nothing else, doesn't work on mediatek, rockchip and other phone processors

Mackie customer service is really bad. I have the lanavo TB-850X tablet and has worked with master fader for the past 2 years. Now with the new 5.2 update it has stopped working, the tablet acts like a mobile device which means you can't acess the eq and compression tabs . I contacted tech support and two weeks later they still don't have a solution. The whole support process has been terribly unprofessional and frustrating. Come on Mackie do better.

Unable to see full controls on Mobile. Installed on tablets - Android 8 inch Lenovo tab, Samsung 8 inch and 10 inch tab - same view as mobile with limited controls. No support for tablets, in iOS Master Fader 5 not compatible with older version as it requires ios11. Please tell which all android tablets it supports? Wasted my money ON purchase of DL16s. Don't launch a product without proper support in app.

So I just need to know, it's been MONTHS and still no DL1608 support, but it is still in the description as coming. Should I give up on the feature? It's a great app that works well with the Mackie Hardware, just really missing this integration.

Very disappointed. I have a Samsung tablet running Android 10. Master fader 5 says minimum compatibility is Android 6. I am presented with "this item is not compatible with your device" in the Play Store. Obviously you have a lot of work to do in the Android platform.

This says my android tablet (Samsung Tab A) that is only 2 years old can't run the new version of the app... Come on guys!!! this is unacceptable!!

Downloaded MF5..to both a samsung phone and tablet. I get same limited control/display on both. I was expecting full access on the tablet...what would limit it? Luckily the initial firmware "update" happened simply enough.

Great app for the DL1608 mixer. I've used this mixer for 4 years and I have loved it. The app is simple, intuitive and reliable.

A very good app on my pixel phone, but apparently not compatible with my Asus C302 flip Chromebook, which does exceed the general hardware and Android specs. Is support for more devices on the todo list?

Does not work on Android 9 Galaxy note 9 or iOS 13 on iPad or iPad mini. Works on Windows. Update* They did fix iOS an PC. Can finally have a hardwired device on my dl32 rack. Still not working for Android.

i have had the DL32S for 2 days now. cant update firmware from any device i try. it just says connect a computer or tablet. i went on thr makie site and no further instructions, no info anywhere online. i asked Mackie for support via their website, no response. im shipping thr product back to them. please stay away from this product.

Been waiting for this so I can live mix my front ensemble but 1608 isn't supported yet...I'm sure it works fine with the mixers that are supported, but it's gonna stay 2 stars until I can use this

Great app until I updaed the firmware. then my Samsung Tablet couldn't access it. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I have a DL16S
