Love how simple this app is, easy to use. I really have nothing bad to say just a suggestion, it would be very convenient if you could create categories in favorites, instead of all the foods being in one big list. It would help to access the food you're looking for faster and would help to keep foods organized. Great app will definitely keep using🙂
absolutely fantastic and simple. this is the first I've tracked macros on a bulk cycle and this makes it simple. the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I think the built in searchable database is really lacking. manual entries are quick and simple though. I'd be willing to pay for an expanded and regularly updated database. also, a basic feature to calculate your BMR and weight loss/maintenance/gain calorie and macro goals would be an excellent addition.
This is exactly what I wanted! Clean and neat layout, I didn't want an app where I had to add height, weight, measurements, etc., sign up *sarcastically* blood type, bowel movement goals... It's ridiculous all the information these other ones want. After downloading and installing more than a few apps, I'm happy I found this one, just counting Macros without all that other bs.
Really like that we can now enter what "1 serving" is for each favorite. But noticed that it doesn't get saved when it's first created. You'd have to go back in to add it. Just noticed that if a favorite item is only one word, it can't be searched.
A good app with 2 problems for me. 90% of items SCANNED from the in-app DB say they have 0 protein. Then the measurements are in 100 grams increments instead of "suggested serving size." 100 grams of butter is quite different from 100 grams of banana. This is a powerful and useful tool with just some glitches that need polishing. I get around the problems by filling out my personal (correct) entries on my phone. I highly recommend this app but you need to verify the nutrition data it provide.
For a Free macro calculator this is a great app, and does what you need it to do. The only suggestion I make is you go online and play around with a bunch of different macro nutrient calculators to find a good goal to set for your calories fat carbs and protein to use in this app. Because the goals that this particular app sets the fats very high in the ratio range in my personal opinion. Anyways I use it every single day and save my favorite foods makes it very easy for me to calculate my days.
Amazing app. Super simple and easy to use. Though it may lack of complex functions, it does incredibly good what it has to do. You set your goals, add foods to favourite, and count macros. It is an incredible app, you should try it!
The app locks on the goal creation screen. It will not toggle between grams and percentages, and kicks out a NaN for each percentage line even when they all add up to 100. Was very hopeful for this app. Supremely disappointed.
Easy to use, easy to add your own food, and there are a ton of food in the database. Have been using this app to count macros for years and love the ease and simplicity. And no ads!!
It's simple and does exactly what i want it to: count macros. It also has a data base (I'm not too enticed by that) and has customizable favorites. You can name your own custom macro meals and save them to favorites or save things from the database.
Just downloaded this, amongst others to find one that works for me, loving the simple, clean usage of this app and the food database. Is there a way to create recipes? I cook everything from scratch for a big family so being able to collate foods into a recipe and then calculate 1 portion is an ideal feature (happy to pay for a pro version if it has this functionality)
I think this app has great potential. It is a shame it seems a little tedious I need to enter all vaues manually as the food database is US based. 😞 Was hoping for a less manual approach.
*Edited for developer response* Unfortunately I cannot rate the app any higher than my previous score for the app itself as unfortunately it just does not meet my requirements, however, developer explanation of why these inadequacies exist goes a long way in my book. I appreciate your feedback and explanation as to why the app is in the stage it's at and I hope other users can help you achieve future goals you may have for it and help enable you to enrichen the app itself. Thank you.
Well designed, streamlined app, but the food database is so slow that it falls to actually find and add the foods I'm trying to enter most of the time.
Can't even distinguish meals so far as I can tell. If you can, it's too difficult to use because I can't find it. Not worth needing with any more. Nice try. Still failed. App. deleted Reply to comment: what'd I eat for breakfast? how about lunch? meals in between... all i see is adding one food item at a time, which is *the* most disorganized way to do it. not useful.
