so the app is super easy to use after years of experience with using it. it's not going to be easy to just pick up but then again if you want easy use something with no features. it has so much functionality that it can get a tad confusing. I would like the app to be able to detect my screens definition though as x;y taps don't align when we switch . also would be great as well,as having paste and clear form and share text to form that we could paste a text and share .
I used to use a competitor product, but as OS versions and other googly things updated it became less functional. I really appreciate how this app can still support actions, ones that competitors do not, like turning on/off WiFi and mobile data via a helper app and easy-to-follow permissions tweaks through adb.
best phone automation app ever made. simple as that. use it as an sms/notification to email / sms forwarding service on my android. constraints around times and things like setting variables for say a forwarding sms number so as destination phone can be changed across macros in one place. brilliant. each macro can be grouped and switched on / off in one go as needed. brilliant
I was looking for an app that warns about accidental screen unlocks with vibration and beeps, but found nothing until I came across this gem. It does exactly what I wanted plus tonnes more. I am grateful for the app developer for creating something that is both versatile and easy to use. I am sure I will find even more uses for this tool in the future.
This tool is a mess. Although I worked straight according to the book, this thing doesn't work properly. Switching off the WiFi should trigger a specific macro. It doesn't. Other actions fail because two different makros can't use the same trigger. Only one macro will be started. For a many actions, the app says something like "might work on your device, but maybe also not. Try your luck." Using the "dim" action simply activates a dark overlay which makes it impossible to use e.g. play store...
Fantastic App! I've tried a handful of different automation apps and this one is the only one I have had 100% success with it is fairly easy to setup, works really well and if it won't work the developer explains why and if allowed (by the OS) will offer a work round. I've just purchased this for a bargain price of a fiver and am looking forward to getting the most from my phone with it... Well worth the cost if only to loose the annoying ads (which serve a purpose so understand why)
Great app, untill upgrade to android 12. I am using Macrodroid for almost a year to turn on my WiFi Hot-spot when my OnePlus 9pro connects to my car Bluetooth. All was working great untill my device upgraded to android 12. Tried the 3 'Hot-spot settings' but none is working. Hoping for a fix ;)
Only needed one feature, seems kinda pricey? Maybe it's worth it for some, it does seem to be feature packed. I just recently got a Pixel 6 Pro, from a Note 20 Ultra and needed a way to automate playing music through Bluetooth connection. Of course, though, when I have this app play music, it shows up in my car as 'not identified' rather than showing me song name, artist, etc. Wish there was a way to fix this.
It's apps like this that make me regret being poor. If only give the dev in dollars how much value I get from this app. You can change the entire quality of your life *just* based on the control you have over your environment; i.e, your phone... anyway. Works beyond great. If you don't know how to automate something, look at the example macros others have made. Whatever you need your phone to be done. It can be done!
The app doesn't work as expected. The UI simulation permissions (accessibility permission) have to removed and then added again for it to work properly. This is the problem after most of the restarts.
Please, MD loses Accessibility settings consistently on Redmi Note 11 (Global version, Android 11, MIUI 13) even though ALL the settings are On. I've practically tried every remedy out there — like turning off any Background restrictions for the app, Allowing every access, Installed the Helper File. I know it may be an OS/Phone thing, but PLEASE look into this please 🙏. Still a 5 stars worthy app
This has changed my whole experience of using a smartphone and Bluetooth devices. It allows transforming almost any automation idea into reality and is fun to play with and discover its depth. There's a community for sharing macros that allows you to start using automations immediately. Otherwise, you can take your time to get creative and without being required to know scripting nor programming you can create yourself your own crazy automations for nearly any purpose you can think of using simple logic. The more you try to think of new ways to automate stuff, the more advanced you become and the more you discover its abilities such as utilizing variables which can make your macros really deep and allow them to truly match your personal needs. Recently decided to pay for it in order to both get frequent updates and support this legendary app that definitely deserves the money. It's more than worth the one-time cheap price.
Works great, I use it to automatically get rid of the "update to Android 12" notifications and to send myself a text when the "live transcribe and notification" app detects an important sound so my Bluetooth alarm will go off when I get the text. Probably has a lot more potential than I've realized yet
OMG! I'm simply speechless to how awesome this app/Tool is! Why hadn't I found this gem of a tool earlier?! Being a software engineer myself, to find out that it's solely developed by one developer (Jamie), I'm astonished. I paid for the purchased version that's so cheap, this is worth many times over. Any way/place to, at least, do a donation?
Been using this app for years. Current version has an annoying long 5 second delay when launching now so I can look at a dumb droid icon. Please stop messing with something that was working properly. Change for the sake of change is a terrible software development model.
Brilliant!! MacroDroid reliably triggers events from app notifications (IFTTT is meant to - but doesn't!). Used in conjunction with IFTTT I can reliably trigger IOTs using eWeLink (but use the app Notification Remover to get rid of notifications out of the queue, otherwise I get overflow issues). I paid for this app not only to get rid of the horrible ads, but it is just a really useful app. 10/10 score. Thanks!
After viewing numerous instructional videos and getting the hang of the app i am changing my rating from 1 star to 4 star. I found the free version useful but wanted more and upgraded to the pro version (half price offer) and have replaced all the Bixby Routines+ so that if i move to a non-Samsung device i will have the same functionality as oneUI 4.0 (android 12) without paying through the nose for the Samsung Galaxy brand!
Started off using Tasker to automate my tablet, scripts would become buggy or no longer work. MacroDroid is brilliant, user interface is super easy to learn, yet powerful enough to do some more advanced automation. Well done.
Too confusing. Not for beginners. There's ads. This is my first time trying one of these and the help guide just isn't in laymen's terms, or simple enough, that anyone can download and start using. I do like the layout though
Surprisingly good Android automation app. Tried so many automation apps. This impressed me enough to switch from Tasker.
Excellent app. Worth paying for to support future development. Have used too many apps for free in the past that end up disappearing.
I have been using this app for years. It allows your phone to do so many things that you didn't even know you needed it to do! Easy to navigate and learn!
Easy to use with there templates. Very clean Ui overall. Much simpler than Tasker by far.
Was having issues with old automation app (AutomateIT Pro) not sure if they stopped updating or not but sure glad I went searching for a replacement. This app is sooo much more capable.
Love this app. It honestly feels like it gives you granular control over your phone and how it can respond to your life rather than your phone controlling your life. The format for automation makes so much more sense than Tasker. I've been trying to use that app for 10 years, and it hasn't changed. Macrodroid feels like an evolution, a streamlined but still super powerful solution to device automation.
