Mad Libs

Very sad to discover that this app no longer works on Android. I used to love it and had bought several books for it. Now the screen locks up with only music playing immediately after launch. In trying to reinstall, I discovered that it no longer comes up in store searches, although I can still reinstall (to no avail) from "My apps". Weirdly, they still advertise the app on their website. :(

No longer works. I see the Penguin company load, then just a blank orange screen. I paid for several different add-ons for my niece, as we were playing often. Very disappointed that it doesn't work, especially with having made multiple purchases. FYI, I have tried clearing the cache, data, un-installing and re-installing, with no resolution

App still not working. This app is normally great, but currently does not run. Nothing can be accessed within the app. Stays on a solid orange screen. Now I can't even find it when I search "mad libs" in the play store. Now more than ever, in a time of isolation and distancing, would be a phenomenal time to get this app running again. I've wanted to use this app so many times since the beginning of this pandemic just to cheer up my coworkers during downtime, but I can't. Severely disappointed.

Hasn't worked for maybe a year or more now. Can't find it in the Google Play store without first going to the Mad Libs website and then clicking the link. Then, when you download it, it asks for your date of birth, and if you type it in and click the next button, it doesn't do anything, just stays on the birthdate screen. Then, whenever you open the app, it does the "Penguin" introduction, but the whole screen fades back to orange and then just freezes there. Doesn't work on Android.

I think it's a very fun game but while creating the material they should have been more specific with the type of word they want you to use. Instead of requesting a noun they should have asked for what type of noun, since the noun you select doesn't always fit their material in the final story. Also, I wish they had a dialog selection in which you and a friend have to go back and forth in a short conversation. If you were more specific and precise about the words you want, and also added a two person dialog game than I would give this app 5 stars.

I had this on my old phone, so I downloaded it to my new Samsung S21 Ultra, and after entering in my birth date, when I tap submit, nothing happens. After this, when I close the app and reopen it, it freezes and remains unresponsive after the penguin animation. I deleted and redownloaded the app, deleted the stored data, and restarted my phone to troubleshoot the problem, but nothing solved the issue.

I played it a bit, it was fun, and I WOULD have given this 4, maybe even 5 stars, but I closed the app, and when I tried opening it up to play more, it just showed the Penguin animation, the app closed and a box appeared saying "Mad Libs has stopped", when I pressed the "open the app again" button, it was just a grey screen. I kept trying to get it to work, but the same thing happened everyday.

It doesn't ever work, at all! I tried this for the first time today and when I tried to put in my d.o.b...it wouldn't submit. Then, I tried to close and reopen the app and would just show a red screen. If I could give less than an one star rating....I would.

I used to use this app all the time on road trips and whatnot, but it has stopped working on my phone for some reason. After the orange title screen, it just stays orange and glitches... So sad. Really wish I could use it, especially because I've actually purchased some of the books and wanted to purchase more!

Was great when it worked, and loved being able to make silly stories without having to copy a page, or have a story be permanent (physical books), but unfortunately, the app no longer works. Pretty bummed. Hopefully it will get fixed.

This game is so fun. For example. First, There is no censoring for the words. I could make the most inappropriate story. Second, Many options. Varieties of stories and even books u can buy for little amount of money. You can ssve the story you made and read it to friends/family. I highly recommend this app, especially if you are looking for something to make you giggle.

Does not load. Works fine on my wife's OnePlus 6t, but it doesn't work on my OnePlus 7 Pro. Same issue as everyone else, stops loading after Penguin logo then it's stuck on the orange screen. I would think this would be a critical bug the devs would want to fix immediately, but apparently they don't care enough to fix it?

I've downloaded the app twice and both times I get stuck at the "enter birthday" screen. I've done all the "troubleshooting" and no resolve. Maybe a better rating once the devs fix the app because it looks like ALOT of others are having the same issue!

It's fun, but the controls are kind of weird, and whenever I back out of the game or press the menu button, the game crashes. This is especially annoying when a game is almost done and I accidentally press the back button, crashing the game.

This app no longer works. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. It brings up the Penguin ad then freezes on an orange screen. It's been happening for several months now.

Enjoyable game until the app crashed on me and almost shut down my phone...? My screen went black, so i tried charging it. The time, date and battery charge (30%) showed up as usual, but when i tried to turn it off or open it, it remained unresponsive for several minutes. After some time, my phone asked if i wanted to shut down all third-party apps that i had installed. Eventually my phone randomly came to life again and the usual notification for a crashed app appeared.

The Mad Libs game is hilarious, but this app has issues. I cannot scroll down enough to view previous entries for campfire stories and letter of recommendation, I want the ability to delete old stories, and the app often doesn't load when I open it.

Can't even use the app at all. I'm on the phone with my bestie across the country frequently. We love mad libs, and will play them over the phone. We are both stuck in quarantine, and wanted the app to pass the time. It asks for your birthday when you first get the app. I can't even make it past that. I was so excited to find this app, too. What a bummer.

Used to be pretty good with optional books, now it doesn't start whatsoever, tried deleting and reinstalled, still won't get past the initial startup and I haven't been able to operate it in a long time.

I got the app and it stops loading at the orange screen, I have restarted my device, uninstalled the app, and everything and it still refuses to load. Others are having the same issue and I would like to see it fixed so I can try this game.

This used to be a decent app, but the developers have had a known freezing issue for months and have decided to do nothing about it. Either fix it and restore access or refund the expansions I've purchased.

Once you put in your birthday, it doesn't let you go any further. I see someone else reported the same thing. Either the developers aren't paying attention or this app is beyond repair. Unfortunately, both options generally indicate a lack of quality .

I'm a little upset about the fact this app no longer works. I bought some books and have had this app since 2010 only to get a new phone and it no longer works. I was able to download it and get to the screen to submit the birth date but the submit button won't work. Very disappointing. Please fix. Note 10+ 5G

This app doesn't work. I've tried several times and when I get to enter by birthdate, when I click submit nothing happens. Then if I close the app and re enter it, it gets stuck on the orange screen.

Does not work at all I have to put in my birthday and it's not working and then I exit the app it is loading in a orange screen I would have a 0 rating but I can't do not recommend at all don't get scammed and waste storage and time getting this app the best thing about it is that it's free. Please shut down this game!
