Madden NFL 20 Companion

2022 edit: app is still ridiculously buggy and crashes constantly. Now they introduced a 4 step captcha which you have to complete every few times you jump in the app. Par for the course with EA. Buggiest app I've used since 2009. Crashes every time I hop back in, requiring me to force close and reopen. Binder doesn't load properly most times. No ability to complete sets or compare all stats. Disappointing.

My account is locked for no reason, and the app constantly crashes. This could be an amazing app, but so many bugs that need fixing. I wish there was a free version, and a paid version where all this issues are fixed and accounts don't randomly get locked out just because they're actually using the app. It's very helpful with selling and buying cards. Please fix the issues.

They need to add more functionality and control to the app. I remember the app EA Sports had for the old NCAA Football games, that app was much better. You could scout players, re-order your depth chart & do the whole off-season from the app. You could do basically everything within your franchise except play the actual game from your mobile app. Its a more convenient way to have total control of your team in real-time, even when you're away from home (i.e. do the off-season or make a trade while your at the beach).

Update 4/30/21: it was tolerable for awhile and now it's back to it's old self. Constant crashes and even more annoying is constant verification screen which ultimately leads to being locked out of auction house. EA should be embarrassed. Update 2/10/21: Worse than ever. I would only recommend this to my worst enemies. Crashes CONSTANTLY. Enfuriating.

it's great when it works, lately though it crashes every 30 seconds which makes it unusable. I'll revise once they fix it, but for now, it's a buggy mess. Edit: Oh and now it won't even load assets so the page where you browse things loads but the player cards don't load and then the app crashes, it used to do it some of the time and now it's every time

The app is one of the most unstable apps on my phone. If you leave the app, it doesn't recover its previous state easily and you may be forced to log back in. I frequently have to force quit it. The binder screen leaves off some crucial info like the player's position - a simple fix that we will likely never see. Generally speaking, the app is painfully slow on a Pixel 4. Feels like what app UX was 10 years ago. I recommend just using the Xbox versus dealing with these annoyances.

In theory, it should be a wonderful app. Considering that this app is linked to EA's cash cow Ultimate Team, you would think that it would be programmed significantly better. The app frequently crashes. You can randomly denied access to your cards for no reason, only to get access back hours later. I know that the level employees care, but management simply does not. I only use it so I can list things on the auction house to get coins because EA has been inching Ultimate Team towards Pay-to-Win

Fine enough for basic auction buy/sell activities but missing key features that make you scratch your head. The ability to upgrade cards, quicksell, view current auction prices for cards in your binder (it goes as far to tell you there are "x" number of live auctions but won't show prices without having to go back and do a manual search), and an overall increase in useful data at our fingertips would all be terrific additions that would make this a true companion 4 - 5 star app.

The app is terrible. It bugs me for security info, made me sign into my acount time and time again. It kept sending security codes to my email and made me keep verifying that it was actually me. When I finally figured it out, it told me there was an error. I don't even know how a single app could be so annoying. I never even got a chance to play the game. I only gave it the one star so I could review it. It wasn't even worthy of the 1 star. Spare yourself the frustration and move on.

Literally CANNOT do anything anymore. It keeps telling me "There was a problem communicating with the Madden NFL servers. Please try again later." I've tried clearing the app's cache, I've tried un-installing and re-installing, ive tried rebooting my phone, yet I still get the same error message. This has been going on for weeks! Unacceptable.

It consistantly crashes no matter what. I've tried everything I could think of and it keeps crashing. This could be AMAZING if EA would just spend some time fixing it. Other than the consistent crashes and the fact it is unusable right now it would be a great add on to Madden 21.

You can't do anything on this application for your franchise mode that would be actually useful, like being able to sign free agents or do basic tasks during the off season. It just tells you what week your on, you can turn your auto pilot on, and you can ready up. That's about it. I was going to rate one star, but the ability to export franchise data is nice. But the lack of other features is lame. And it confirms if you want to ready up but not when you force advance. Pretty dumb, imo.

Everytime I tried to login to my account I was nicely greeted by an error message saying that I didn't have an account. I am clearly staring at my 95 ovr team that has been connected to an ea account and I'm hoping that this gets fixed (not like ea is going to do anything about it) so I can actually use the app. I wish ea would actually put out a game that has no glitches, bugs or problems with the servers because that's all they do. Step up your game EA!

You use to be able to set winners of a games in a Franchise. Now You cannot because the app is not showing the correct schedule. I am currently in week 3, but the app is showing week5. So for me to set the wins of games, I CANNOT do it on the app anymore, can only do it in Playstation.

I got my account locked because I sold cards I had been saving for sets for no reason. I didnt have my account investigated or anything because they would have seen I was just using the app. Said it raised flags that I made coin quickly in one night so they locked it up without looking first. I love what the app was made for all but the unjust lock and it crashes alot randomly.

The app has so much potential. But the app super lags out my phone. I can type one letter per 5 seconds. Scrolling through my binder is beyond excruciatingly laggy. It like takes up all the RAM my Note8 can muster. Then the app crashes randomly. Did you even try to make this a legit app or just threw it out there half finished? So disappointing

Awesome game i love it. 1 thing i wish would be changed is allowing the user defensive player to not be able to run back and forth without slowing down when changing direction. In real life a line backer cant run forward then run backwards without having to slow down before changing direction, then chasing down a 96-98 speed WR. Just not realistic at all. Other than that. No complaints

What did you do? Sure the last version was a bit slow and you couldnt scroll down to see all the current auctions but at least i could stay on the app for more than 30 seconds without it crashing. Revert back please. This is lucky to make it 45 seconds before it crashes.

I honestly love the concept, I just think load times should be a little shorter and there should be a function to upgrade players in MUT, I see no point in just buying the players in a auction without being able to upgrade them and add them to my starting lineup.

Pointless app. Can't do anything other than view the auction house and LOOK at your binder. Can't quicksell, can't do sets, can't upgrade, you can't even look at lineups. Functionality is awful. Should be able to do literally everything except play the game. Don't bother.

The app is just good for advancing the week. If you are looking for something else your not going to get it. I started my franchise on ps5 I'm in week 4, but the app is showing that it week 6.I deleted the app and reinstall it to see if that will fix the problem, but still the same thing. Madden is broken two so if you guys can fix both that would be awesome. Can't have both broken you guys have to give a little and take a little. EA show some love for the people as we been showing love to you.

It has a lot of room to grow, theres a lot more things I feel like u should be able to do but can't, like use sets or buy packs etc. And I don't think its compatible for the next gen version. Plus there is a lot of bug, it crashes etc

The worst companion app ever. If you can even get into the franchise or ultimate team part, it will freeze or be stuck loading after 30 seconds and you have to close and re open the app. If it doesn't freeze, it'll take a good 3 minutes to load whatever you're trying to load. Just a trash, broken app all around. More annoying than it is helpful.

This app is absurdly buggy and slow! It takes a solid minute just to load, and it crashes half the time I use it. I can't believe that EA didn't make a new app for Madden 22, and just kept the same garbage app from Madden 21. Sadly you are pretty much forced to use this horrible piece of programming in order to do well in MUT. Such a shame...

Constantly having problems connecting to the Madden NFL servers. For an app that is mainly used for the auction, there shouldn't be such a delay for the pages to load when switching screens. By the time your page loads the auction is already over. Please update and decrease loading times!
