I really really like the game so far. The mechanics are kind of easy to understand, the story isn't half bad, and the visuals are sooo pretty. My only problem with it, is that it gets random errors, which makes me have to restart the whole game from the intro(it does this multiple times). Also, there was a bug where the characters would turn into pitch black, blocky, minecraft silhouette looking things. I understand that the game is new (in english),so i believe and i hope that It will be fixed.
This is a fantastic gatcha game so far. Not super pay 2 win. However, there's a constant issue where sometimes upon trying to access stories, particularly the side quests, where you get sent back to the title sceen, which can repeat once to several times in a row. Also, i wish there were more options for magical girls. The current roster is extremely small and I'm not sure how long it'll take to get more
Fun game. I really enjoyed both animes, and this game lived up to the expectation that they set. The battles are just my kind of thing: turn- and combo- based (lots of factors to consider), although I would prefer more emphasis on player skill, not character level. The best part is the world-building. With 3 distinct major stories, plus an individual story for each magical girl, there's so much to explore! Too bad it's shutting down so soon. I'll keep my transfer ID and password just in case.
Pretty fun game, enjoying the story! It's a little buggy and crashes a lot, but nothing too bad. It's also kind of annoying how there's all these limited time farming quests being thrown out right at launch. The gameplay has a high learning curve, but I'm figuring it out as I go. So over all I've got some complaints, but definitely going to keep playing.
Been waiting for this game and i love it! The story, characters, music, and visuals are all lovely. However, whenever i try to do labyrinth quest or characters episodes it seems to always say an error happened and forces me to the title card. I didn't have this problem in the Japanese version and i hope this issue will be fixed soon. Will definitely stay around and play more while waiting for the english version catches up to the events.
This game is phenomenal. The graphics are smooth, music is amazing and the gameplay is fun yet challenging. There's a wide variety of quests to complete that are always changing. The only downside is the app size grows extremely quickly if you choose to use the HD textures and sound. The app on my phone is currently 5.7GB. Also if the developers are reading this I would like to suggest making the menus not need a constant internet connection to load, it gets annoying with slow internet.
The file size is huge on the maximum settings, and I had early trouble with the app crashing. Overall it delivered a lot I wanted from a Madoka game and that was nice. The story and characters really engaged me and I have no complaints about the gameplay. Unfortunately, the limited time events proved a deal breaker for me. The time windows are so small it feels like I lose progress even while playing. The good is very good and the bad isn't unusual for mobile games, but I can't play any more.
Decent game so far. While it has some familiar faces, it really doesn't quite feel like "Madoka", though maybe it's because I haven't gone far enough yet. Biggest issue is the constant disconnecting, which boots you back to the title screen. It gets aggravating when you finally sit down to play for a bit, only to spend half the time trying to actually launch a mission.
The game itself is nothing extraordinary, but it's functional and pushes you to play to clear stages instead of leaving it on auto all the time. Where the game truly shines it's on the storyline and their characters. They're really well made and the plot around them is super engaging, it's noticeable that there's a lot of work behind the whole crafting of the narrative. Also the events story lines are actually fun and interesting, and not a drag to go through. Really loving it.
Better pacing for the story, compared to the anime. No issues with the controls and the gameplay is easy enough to understand. As another reviewer said, some of the special objectives for a battle can be difficult to pull off simply due to the random nature of which disks you will get each turn. Once you have a larger supply of characters to choose from, it'll like be easier to fulfill the requirements. However, until you do, it's definitely a detractor from the overall game. Paid & Free Stones
it's a good story and the cut sequences can be skipped if you're not interested in them. The strategy of the fights keeps the game play fresh and engaging. The upgrading system for both the girls and the cards is a bit complicated and confusing. There is a ton of content to play through and the card pull system seems fair so far. Very F2P friendly.
A fun, bug riddled mess. The game plays similar to Fate Grand Order, similar draw rates as well. The battle system does add a few extra details that flow nicely. The story and characters are enjoyable. Stamina is a huge issue, you barely get enough to play to levels and then wait a few hours. The game is also a mess. Constant errors that restart the game. Story levels missing the start button. A good start that needs some real work quick.
This looked cute so I gave it a shot (despite never seeing the anime — but now I want to!) and it turned out to be really fun! The magical girls are adorable and I'm enjoying the storyline. The downside of a story-heavy game like this is that it takes a lot of time to progress. So it's been difficult to get enough chocolate for the current Valentine's Day event without dedicating a lot of time to the game and/or skipping the cutscenes (which I enjoy!) Still a great game, though!
I love PMMM. I am enjoying Magia Record. The gameplay is fun, the story interesting. However there are constant errors (characters & backgrounds become black, being sent back to the title). Also I recently had to change phones (Samsung galaxy) and I couldnt at all because it wouldnt let me get pass the home screen. I had to transfer data back to my old one just to go back to playing. I'm sure that once these errors are fixed it'll be a great game. (I aim to play but not pay till then.)
I'm so happy that MagiReco finally got an official English translation at long last! The gameplay is fun and game runs smoothly, but I keep getting error messeges every time I try to access a battle mission and it boots me back to the title screen; this has happened to me at least 3 to 4 times after I downloaded the game today. I hope this technical issue gets fixed immediately. Overall, I still enjoyed the game, but it there are issues that need to be fixed.
Not only is this game highly addictive, but nothing is out of character. The story and new characters are fantastic, and I'm ACTUALLY enjoying the turn based combat. On top of the game and story being amazing, their customer support is phenomenal. I lost my account after uninstalling from a crash (literally the only downside of this) and they were more than happy to try and get my account back. Plethora of security questions later, I'm back in and right back to playing! Based Madoka.
So, I've had this game since release and it's been quite fun. Unfortunately it is somewhat confusing at the beginning with its menu and there's still a decent amount of bugs. But on the positive side, the characters, art, music, and animations for this game is beautiful. I love all the memoria and character designs as they're all pretty cute.
This game was definitely something I have been waiting for since I heard of it and wanting it for international release. The controls, while a bit complex, is easy enough to learn. However there is an issue in regards to the story mode, as of right now on this current date, I cannot access episode 3 of chapter 1 due to a persisting error that leaves me to the title screen. As of now, this issue is the only reason why this review isn't 5 stars. Please fix this error, and others in the future.
This game has so much content and work put into it, it's amazing. The artwork, animation, and voices are beautiful. The gameplay is strategic (does get a bit repetitive sometimes with easy enemies) but it can be challenging at times. The action points to play the game also are quick to recharge so I get to play often throughout the game. I would recommend it especially if you love magical girls and the Madoka Magica series.
I've been playing for a while now. I really enjoy the game and I think it's very generous with its items and gems. Unfortunately when I launch the app now I get the developer screens and the warning screen but then it just turns black. I've restarted the app and my phone but I still have the problem. I really don't want to lose my progress and I can't access my transfer code too.
I've run into 3 glitches, so far. The 1st was when the game froze while I swiped a disk, but closing and opening the game remedied it. The 2nd was when the game froze before the title screen. I had to un/reinstall the app to make it work. The 3rd was when videos wasn't play. I don't know if that has been fixed, yet. The reviews for this game are more helpful than the in game tutorials. I'm glad I read them before playing or else I wouldn't have found the preregistration bonuses or Homura.
Honestly I didnt have high hopes going into this but it's surprisingly pretty fun, the fights can start getting pretty repetitive at points but once the difficulty starts going up you really do have to start thinking about what you're doing. I feel motivated to meet all of the expectations in each battle, and while I'm typically not a fan of this style of game I find myself really enjoying and strategizing during battles but not getting a headache or getting overwhelmed. Also the girls are cute.
Update: I came back after a couple months and updated. The issue seems to be resolved. Enjoying the game so far, will continue to see how it goes. Would love to play it. Keeps crashing upon "connecting" in the startup after the video. Reinstalled twice, completed intro tutorial twice, crashes upon startup when coming back, both times. (Device: Oneplus 7 pro). Very pretty game if it would run.
Personally, I find the gameplay and the story pretty interesting. The micro transactions are a little annoying, but it is a mobile game. They gotta get paid somehow. I think I've only been playing for 3 days, which would add to my struggles against the microtransactions. Otherwise, engaging story. Interesting gameplay. And fairly nice addition to the franchise as a whole. (=^+^=)
Very good! The design, music, story, characters are all top-tier from what I've seen, with backstories and various personalities. The gameplay is simple, but I'll admit I don't quite understand all the upgrading characters and such. Also really sucks that it's gatcha, and it's very unlikely you'll be able to get an event only character unless you play to death or spend to death.
Even Gallery Mode is glitched- I'm seeing my magical girls all maxed even when they weren't, can't see any of the character images, and when I try and scroll it just clicks whatever I pass over last instead. Some folks I know can't see the videos. I'm keeping this installed in the hope you fix it, but wow why couldn't we have access to other parts of the archive, the story or at least our memoria? The game was wonderful while it lasted. But I'm glad I screenshotted all my meguca before the end.
It has a little bit of launching problems and errors but I know they're going to get fixed soon, there are some dialogues that could have better translations if you have the characters personalities in mind like instead of translating a positive understanding response as "Okay" translating it as "I see". Overall it is a very solid translation work that even with its issues gives you a lot of enjoyment with a good story, great visuals and a perfect soundtrack.
Pretty fun gatcha style game. Really appreciate all voice acting (would've liked english dub) and character animations. I've only had a problem of game crashing on me a few times on this device during story chapters. Tutorial mostly is for the fighting and it took me a while to go through the menus this game has to figure out how to rewatch cutscenes I missed from the game crashing. Besides that, pretty good. Im not really into the chibi like character models in battle but its just a preference.
This game has one of the most beautiful voice acting with visuals I have ever seen. The gameplay is very nice and easy to follow. The pull rate with a fail safe system has nothing wrong with it. We are playing catch up to the JP servers, events are going fast, but we're just getting currency faster because of it. If you love story, visuals, and a easy to follow combat system I highly recommend this game.
The story is quite good and charming thus far, and the gameplay isn't shabby either. I especially like the connect feature. However, there has been numerous times where I was booted back to the title screen, and I think we can use a subtitle when viewing magical girls dialogue in archieves. Other than that, I think it has been quite the pleasant experience.
