Magic Fluids allows for a great deal of customization. You can modify fluid type, color palette, how long it stays on the screen, when colors should change and much more.
Fluid alone is great, but it only gets better. Turn on particles and watch how they move with the fluid and emphasize it's motion. Particles have lots of configuration options as well
- shape, size, color and more. You can have more than 15000 particles on the screen, but you better have a strong device if you want to do that!
Whatever configuration you come up with, it would be great to save it and use anytime later. That's what user presets are for
- you can store ten fluid presets and load them with a single click!
Are you lazy and don't want to wade through lots of settings? You can use one of ten predefined fluid configurations and still experience a great diversity that Magic Fluids offers! Examples of existing presets are Floating Flames, Wavy Winter or Classy Combination.
Magic Fluids features two fluid animation methods:
- Smoke
- classic gas simulation. Smoke is slow and steady. It's great when you want to slow down and relax
- Water
- uncommon method that makes fluid behaviour more similar to liquid than gas. You can almost feel the pressure propagating through the water while you touch the screen. It's perfect when you want to create dynamic animations and images full of swirls and curls.
When you press the Menu Button (hardware button on older devices, three-dot button on newer ones) animation pauses. From there you can clear the screen, go to settings menu or save the screenshot to file on external storage (it goes to /Pictures/MagicFluids/ directory). Note that external storage (which usually means SD Card, but on some devices external storage is actually internal) must be available on your device. You can later use it as a wallpaper or show your friends what you can do with Magic Fluids!

The best wallpaper experience I've ever had. It's amazing what you can make if you sink in a few hours to build effects. Many of these effects could be standalone live wallpapers that deserve to be defaults on flagship phones. Yes, they're that good! It's a shame that the UI, icon and general presentation of the app looks amateurish. It's a powerful beast on the inside, but looks 10 years outdated and hard to work with. Could really use a make-over. Also wish there was a space to post effects!
overall I think that this is a great application. I am using it primarily as a live wallpaper. There is a huge amount of customisations and settings to tweak but I am finding the settings section quite complicated to get the right balance of performance and effects without causing it to slow down. I am using it on my Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and it does struggle to render the image with out it stuttering and jerking. I think it needs further optimization and that is why it gets 4 stars.
It's a great app, looking at the fluids is very mesmerizing. It would be great if maybe we could have 5-10 more save files though. Also, sometimes there would be these random vortexes that I can't get rid of. I tried changing lots of the settings but it didn't work. I needed to restart the app to get rid of them. Only happens sometimes though so it's fine. The new update is great by the way! :)
When I try to set the live wallpaper, it says 'action not supported, please do It manually' but I don't know how to do it manually D': also, I wish there was an option for when you press and hold, you can just mix the colors. The vortex but with no paint pretty much. I feel like the wall option should be better. Because the paint still dissapears when it gets to the side of the screen. Also when the screen is full of color it makes the brush huge. I have more Stuff to say. But can't.
Of late I came across, researched and then wanted some simulation app that would give me the ability to create slow moving canvases to relax and drift away to.. you know the saying: "I'll know it when I see it." Well, for me I came across the free app, was totally bought into its vast functionality, and the surreal landscapes one can create, I bought it without hesitation. With a little patience and experimentation I've created my own little colourful worlds. What a gem of an app by its creator.
Awesome! Very vibrant and beautiful. Lots of great presets. Perfect for AMOLED screens! Please consider making manual input fields next to sliders, because sometimes a very small change makes a very big difference in some of the settings. Also consider manual text input for colors and adding more custom preset slots. Edit: Please make a donate button. I spent oh so many hours with this (it's a perfect stress reliever) and I want to give you more money. Buying it feels like a steal really :)
I love playing with this game/wallpaper. There are many presets to choose from and I have made several of my own fluids which can be saved and used. It is relaxing and entertaining. I always receive compliments when it's noticed. I've never had any problem with this app and I quickly purchased the full version which offers more features and is ad-free. I recommend Magic Fluids to anyone who likes to have a unique, fun and fully customizable game that is also a cool live wallpaper!
Rarely do I find an app that does what it claims to so well. It runs so smoothly on my phone. Everything is very clear and straightforward. And it is a great value for the price. The free version is the same but with only a few presets. So after I checked out the free version, I knew immediately that I wanted the full version. This is great for casual idle time on the phone. I use it for grounding. I drag my fingers across to create some beautiful patterns and watch and breathe as they fade away
I didn't mind paying the 1.49 for the full price. This is basically like the fidget spinner of apps, not much to it but sure to keep certain folk entertained for hours, plus it is fun to meet with the settings and designs to see how the colors interact at different speeds and other settings. Setting there graphics to its highest (x4) send to not work properly, all I see are the little white lines. But other than that it's pretty entertaining.
I love this app. I was recommended this app in an Autism support group as a good visual stimming tool. It is absolutely fantastic! Helps me distract my brain and hands when I am feeling uneasy and am trying to avoid a meltdown. The colors and effects are beautiful and mesmerizing. I did the free trial all of 5 minutes before paying for the full version. My ONLY complaint is that I wish there was some gentle meditation type music that you could toggle on and off.
I absolutely love this app! I got the free version to try which comes with a fair number of presets and features including live wallpaper, but enjoyed it so much I bought the full version. You get tons of extra presets, much more control over what your touch does, and generally a lot extra for a low price. Updates since buying the full version have always come with new, extra presets. I've had so many hours of fun chilling with this app, it's great for relaxing and stress relief. Thanks devs! ❤️
I've tried out a number of these fluid-type simulations and live wallpapers, and this one stands out as one of the most (if not the most) configurable and enjoyable among them. The available options allow for a wide range of color combinations, fluid behaviors, and aesthetic variations, which translates to the equivalent of "high replayability value." Great app!
This app is great. Templates are awesome and it's even better the fact that you can create your own background. Adding to this the customer service has been great since I had an old phone and had some issues. They were very responsive and always open to new solutions. Now that I changed the phone I can appreciate it better and once in a while change things with the app so it looks like a new background every time.
Oh dear, this app is beyond amazing! first I thought it'd just be some animated brushes and too high contrasts as I would know them of some apps, but the animation/simulation is top notch and it always looks interesting with how your interaction changes the behaviour of the fluids. Very trippy and soothing, definitely something I'll show my friends at some point sooner or later. Also the live Wallpaper option makes itperfect and the implementation is mint! Works nicely on my 21:9 Xperia 10Plus
Man I love this wallpaper. But I'm wondering if there's way to to get the input effects to be automatic with out having to touch the screen. I know there's the sources option, but I want it to stay still instead of move around. Great app!.Update 🤩👍exactly what I wanted. 6 stars! Just keeps getting better. Only thing missing is a screensaver option.
The game is great and helps me calm down. My only issue with it is that the characters in your preset name are limited and that when I exported and imported my presets , everything was lost. It was likely an issue on my end but, making it so that we can have pages of presets would be useful instead of having them limited and needing to be imported/exported.
This APP IS A MUST! Spark your creativity! It's beautiful as a live homescreen, lockscreen, and charging screen. It helps reduce my anxiety, & is def. my go-to app when there's time to kill. Forget those space-consuming games/apps or pesky game requests. This app eliminated the need for other games w/it's vast array of presets & endless options within it's user-friendly settings...made the decision to upgrade to the full-version of the app easy. such a great value too... highly recommended!
Really beautiful effects, I'm loving it. Only two things I'd change is the gravity setting is too sensitive, it's either really fast, or crazily fast. The other thing is, is there a way to stop the colours mixing (creating their own colour?), I'd like the app to show just the colours I chose.
its amazing I was looking for anti stress games and I found this it's well worth its 99 cents payment plus tax but the free version is pretty good too it may be a little slow but all u have to do change its speed to 2x and it works great there are lots of customizations and colors u can make the background whatever color u want and and u can adjust the water and just about how ever u like. if ur getting this form a young child then u might need to help them seeing it has slit of reading
It's very relaxing. Having paint pour from my fingertips easily starts my creative juices flowing, and the pictures make a great starting point for my abstracts. Probably the only way it could be better is if there was an option to make the background transparent when saving pictures.
While I was unable to get the live wallpaper feature to work, it didn't matter much. I loved the free version so much I bought the full version in less than half an hour of it being installed. This is so calming and relaxing, which is saying something as I have severe anxiety issues. 10/10, would (and did already) recommend.
Amazing live wallpaper, love the look of it on my home/lock screen and its awesome that there is so much customizability with it. I havent experienced any battery drain from having the live wallpaper set using the maximum graphical detail setting "gift from the aliens" haha love the name, truly feels like an "out of this world" live wallpaper! Would really like to see an option added for rounded display corners but thats just a minor gripe.
Fantastic! This app's elegant algorithms sit perfectly at the intersection of art and mathematics. The interface allows for excellent control and the presets let you just jump in and enjoy the flow. My students love standing on either side of my HD Avermedia to shoot "fireballs" at each other, LOL!
The variety in this app is just a dream - I could just get completely lost in making my own little light shows, and while some of the presets have similar qualities, they never feel like blatant knockoffs of each other just to boost advertising or something. Plus, you can customize it on quite a detailed level, which makes it feel even more worth it and keeps it from getting redundant. I do feel the $5 price is a little steep, but this developer deserves to be supported.
