Good but missing a few features... it would be nice if you could highlight a few items to add to a list and tick and untick items in a list once you've found them. Also editing the image already assigned to an item instead of adding a new one. In addition it would be nice to move things between two places with lists, eg I take the same things between uni and home when coming back for the holidays and it would be nice if i could move all items back to their rightful place on the app with ease.
This works as described and is very intuitive. Reading the "Help" is good for understanding the capabilities of the app. I thought there was one important feature missing, but maybe I just couldn't find it. 😳 That is to have multiple floors / levels to a property. One other feature, maybe for future development, is the ability for a "Cloud" based shared data store. (This would probably be a $pay to use feature$.)
Really great home inventory app! I have moved from a larger home with lots of storage and have had to cram things all over the new house. It has made finding things difficult. This app is exactly designed to help inventory and find things within the home. For example I have created each of the rooms in my house and garage and created storage sections within each. Then the shelves or bins within each storage section can be filled with items. Photos can be added if you like.
A bit too clunky to use. It would be much easier to just create a spreadsheet. I didn't see any option to import a spreadsheet either. Takes a lot of time to add details, can't copy a template (adding cans of food one by one when they all belong to the same category is Exhausting) and I couldn't find any option to add more than 1 item (if I have 3 cans of peaches, for example)
I love this app for many reasons, it does do almost everything I'd like it to. I'd give if 5 stars if it had a barcode option and if it would allow me to name my own sub-categories as I mainly use it for my studio and there are many different tools & components I would like to be able categorize them so it was more customized to my work, and a print option would be fantastic too...but yes it's by far the best app I've tried. Thanks
Dev emails bounce back - App must not be developed anymore. ISSUES: VERY complicated and granular. I guess with flexibility comes complexity. No cloud storage backup so if you lose your phone, you are screwed unless you happened to backup your database and saved it somewhere. I guess this would be ok but the UI is busy, complicated, haphazard and cumbersome to navigate. Adding items to rooms in a category takes 7 or more clicks. You can't assign quantities to things so you need to add notes. Dev Website does not work and emails to the dev bounce back. But hey... IT"S FREE so what do you expect?
This is an extremely powerful app. Huge props to the devs. If you want to put in the work of inventorying all of your stuff, this is the app to use. The only thing missing that I would really like is a built-in barcode reader, allowing me to put barcodes on my stuff and have the app navigate directly to the item entry when I scan the barcode with my phone camera.
I must have used and installed just about every home inventory apps out there. This is by far the best! even among the paid apps. Important to consider other apps. - NO subscription! , this is totally free. - NO online cloud storage and no LOCAL storage. (remember it's your data) . Should have local data and option to your own cloud NOT theirs.
Would have been nice to be able to rename categories, as I can't use a single one of the existing for my art studio. Also customising main view to show single items, as I need the inventory help me remember where I put my inks etc. but not so much "what is in the attic". So I don't need lists in front.
It is pretty good ,but very basic. I would like if the sunburst diagram would show by category insted of each individual item. I would also like if I could filter by category to see all the items in uust that category regardless of room. Update: Thank you 🙂
I looked at many apps before going for this one. Features are great, and the export/import functionality is intelligent enough so that you can merge data from different devices. If you want to own your data, and not have to pay for every little extra feature, this is the way to go.
This is the best home inventory app. Some non-intuitive features like press the CROP button to save a picture I hope Robert will fix. Needs an export to spreadsheet or delimited file feature and a cost of item feature where it is totaled for the room and whole property. I did change my review from 1 star when Robert sent an email straight away. That's a plus.
Still the best home inventory app out there. No commercial links to insurance companies. Simple database structure. Great feature to export / import in case of phone changes. Would be great to add an item value field rather than a plain text 'description'. Still can be also achieved by export and adding to the CSV file. Well done!
This is a great inventory app! It does what you want it to do. I'm impressed by how much thought and detail the developer has put into this app. Of course there's always room for improvement. Remarkably it's absolutely free, with no adds whatsoever. Also, there is no limit to the items you can add compared to other apps that limit you to 100 unless you upgrade. Hope more features come in the future.
I'm sad that I spent so much time creating a full detailed list with photos and lost everything due to a change of phones. I was hoping that signing into Google play would have saved everything, and theres no way to sign in on this app so be warned if you change phones you'll lose all your work.
How sad - Hasn't been an update since 2017. Uninstalling. I tried using it but kept getting pop-up saying app was made for older version. Tried to update but no update available. Can't deal with nag screens, sorry. Looked like a good app too. I'm so jaded by all the ads and other pop ups these days even 1 turns me away. I'll reinstall and try it out. Thanks for the feedback 👍
Very easy to use! I particularly like how one can create their inventory as simple or complex as one wishes. I recommend a "Dark Mode" (black background) as a Settings option similar to those found on other apps.
Just started using this and I 💖 it! I love the how the categories are automatically selected based on what I name the item, this automatic metadata is really helpful. I 💖 that I can put in things under each different room and different compartment units and I can "stack" them — easy to identify what belongs in where (E.g. I have a TV remote stacked under the Shelf section) Edit: thank you! Is there a feature to sync data with other devices? So my housemates and I can update the same property
I've been using this app for 2 years and have over 500 items in it with photos in 18 different boxes in my garage. It's very easy to use and the developer is quick to respond to questions or suggestions. If you want to get super organized and find your stuff quickly this is a great app for it.
Great app! You can create boxes inside boxes and put things inside! I wish that items could be added to lists in batch, that some standard Metadata can be recorded like purchase date and price, perhaps a bar code scanner, and of course, to have the possibility of multiple devices working on the same database.
What I like most about this application is the fact the way is organized and the way it shows the information.. you could have different layers of information that makes your home inventory management easier. I'm actually making an inventory of three different properties...this application helps me out immediately. The picture option is highly important so you can actually remember what is the item. When you search, it can be done all over the whole inventory.
