Magic Life Auditor

If you've ever attended a large-scale competitive MTG event, you know very well how Mobile Life-Tracking Apps are generally frowned-upon. I feel that this is due in large part to the fact that it's just too easy to mistakenly add/subtract too little/much, and most of the apps out there offer no way to see what just happened in a clear way to correct for such mistakes.

With Magic Life Auditor, you'll finally be able to see a scrolling Audit History for your life (and Counter and Commander) transactions. No longer will you have to be afraid of mistakenly tapping once too many and embarrassingly asking your opponent what Life you should be at.

Accidentally recorded -3 damage last turn when it should only have been -2? No problem! With Magic Life Auditor you can tap on any record in the Audit History and modify the values at any point and the current Life/Counter value will update accordingly.

In addition to Life-tracking, I've developed two extremely simple widgets: a Counter Tracker and a Commander Tracker. With the Counter Tracker widget, you can keep track of the total Poison, Energy, Experience, and Storm counters you have. With the Commander Tracker widget, you can keep track of both the number of times you've summoned your Commander this game as well as the amount of direct face damage you've received from opposing commanders. As mentioned previously, additions and subtractions of all of these values will also be recorded in the Audit History.

I've also implemented several other minor features, including the background colors (a simple gradient) for all of the various MTG factions/clans/shards/wedges (alongside their names, for handy quick-reference), a button to rotate the opposing screens to face you (if you're stuck doing all the record-keeping yourself), as well as the ability to hide all of the widgets from your view simply by tapping on your Life Total or anywhere in the empty space of the screen (for those who appreciate a little less clutter). By the way, I've designed Magic Life Auditor to scale wonderfully on both 7" and 10" Android tablets!

This is my first public app! I'm just a Magic: The Gathering player like all of you and I wasn't satisfied with the Life Tracking apps out there today, so I decided to do something about it. I hope you find Magic Life Auditor useful, but please let me know what you think by leaving a Review!

I have tried a lot of edh life tracker apps and this is by far the most features on the same screen by a large margin than any other app. Almost every type of counter tracker you would want all very easily accessible without digging into menus. While it may not be the most visually appealing everything else makes up for it. The only thing I wish it had would be other player number modes like 3, 5, or even 6 if needed.

This one is near perfect. You have every feature I was looking for and as others have said, it doesn't feel cluttered, it's just right. You hit the nail right on the head with this one. The only things I would change would be the size of the + and - buttons (Not even too much larger, just a good 30 or 40% larger), the option for 3 people, and an option to save the life, amount of players, colors, etc. as a loadout for future games. Solid 5 stars in my book nonetheless. Great job!

I've seen a lot of MTG life counter apps and they range from rudimentary to cluttered. This one hits the perfect balance. Everything you need is easily accessible without the screen looking too busy.

The app works great, however the buttons are a little small on my tablet.
