Magic VR Video Player

One of the better players in the store I've tried (and I've tried a few). The biggest differentiator is that it can play/stream movies over the network (sorta). It seems like the app runs into problems trying to stream any files over 3GB over the network, which most movies are if they are 720p and up. If that could be fixed, that'd be a complete game changer.

Interface and all are great and it does the job. My only complaint is that I wish it remembered my preferences/settings on a peer video basis (some vids should be set for 360 L/R, others 180 L/R, etc). It seems to default on a per video basis, but I want to override the defaults.

LOOKS GOOD BUT !!!! it works perfectly on my acer tablet A1 810. and the screen display is good because it acts like cardboard, display at a limit of 5" diagonal which is good for people who have small vr glasses. but SENSORS ARE NOT DETECTED on my samsung grand prime g531f. so i can't use it at all since i use my phone with a headset and not the tab. i hope you can fix it. i rate a symbolic 4 stars until you fix that for this phone model. but i really can't use it at all... by the way, what about a widescreen cinema mode for mono and 3D lr/tb ? because the interface is really just fine. thanks in advance.

Awesome VR App. Best VR experience. It has a option called "Play Video Link", But As soon as I enter any link of any video and tap OK, or says "failed playing video". Please fix it and I will be very much pleased. I also recommended this app to my friends and they also appreciated this app. Still Though, nice work.

Impressive Small size, neat and really operable player.. since when it comes to playing different video formats with full speed also using less resources, all other big players fail, but this MAGICally saves your day. I wasn't able to play some of my media files with other VR players and also including normal media players or default players(not VR one), but this played easily! *Is it possible to add other different VR video formats like 220° or 270° etc?

It's one of the best players showing some great efforts and I just loved that but one thing that can make it some is addition of zoom button in VR controls as many videos just need good adjustments to fit properly in the screen and rotational effects as optional to work with movement of your head for 3D videos like cardboards. Hope to see these in the coming updates.

I think this player is amazing however on my phone I need to have it upside down to access the headphone port, but since this app only supports landscape one way I can't watch the videos properly. I have to choose between Audio or Video since the left and right eyes get mixed up since the app doesn't automatically rotate. I would rate 5 stars if this feature was added in the near future.

If you're looking for a Mono Movie player off your files from your smart phone so you can watch while laying in bed this is it. It also does well in other formats but I do mostly movies in Mono. Sometimes it does go back to 360 view and you have to guide around for that menu so you can put it back on Mono. If I would make any improvement I would have an option to LOCK your settings in. But it's really a small annoyance.

Let me save you some time if you want to play MKV files, you want this one. Nearly all of the others players can't or won't play MKV audio unless you go pro. Best in movie user interface, it's elegantly unintrusive, for example, when you pause, it does not hog the screen, just look down when you want it. No silly Theatre modes. I want my movie to fill the screen not have half of a 'cinema' in my vision. Will play large file size movies from SD card. Things to improve. 1 Search SD from within app. 2 Full YouTube integration with search. 3 Play all analgraph 3D colours. And that's it. Maybe the image could be improved a bit but the basics are right, it just needs the icing on the cake to make it a one stop solution. Phone: HTC One Max

this is the only app that can utilize playback of 2d dvd/br rips and play them side by side while NOT being in a virtual theater. it can play films in a LOCKED view without distorting the aspect ratio beyond employability. Bravo devs, ive gone through a few dozen video players that completely lacks this ability. keep up the excellent work. the only idea i wish to contribute would be to fully implement the apps GUI in vr, standard 2d with a list of clips and full length films to browse through without removing the handset from the vr headset. do this, and this app will reign superior for many updates to come.

It cannot seem to find the videos on its own. I have to open the video using a file browser like Fx to force it to open with this app. Also, I would like to see native Daydream View support added.

The only player that doesn't drift...and if you did want to change orientation, there's a recenter button. Also control buttons completely disappear so it doesn't interrupt your video, and can reappear only if you look straight down. Zoom adjustable. It's perfect.

I love how the screen fits perfectly in my phone. In other apps, I have to adjust the screen size to get it right but this app screen size is just the right one for me. My only issue with this is that it does not show the internal subtitles in MKV when I am watcging anime.

The app lacks "next video" button for media control, which should play the next file in the same folder (or even allow the user to choose which to play next without taking the headset off). The view mode setting shouldn't go back to default every time I play a new video, it's annoying having to set back to 180 every time. Also, it would be nice to see support for Bluetooth controllers. Not sure if there's a reason behind this, but why not allow user to disable the black border? Overall very smooth vr player

This player is by far the best in quality and compatibility, it's easy to use and simple , literally the only problem for me is the drift, but the drift is so bad it makes it impossible to use the app. I am using a pixel and the daydream headset but when I try to watch anything other than 2d the field of view spins around me. As soon as the drift is fixed or at least dampened this will be an instant 5star vr player.

The video do not rotate while rotating the phone. It is essential because else i will need to see the movie upside down when my phone is attached with the vrbox. I am not able to use the buttons either.

I wish this apps way of handling non VR video was similar to YouTube. It's close but not nearly as good. YouTubes method feels like your at the cinema whilst this one is quite limited as it's not really 360

Superb app.. But it would be better if it had more option at setting on video playback quality, play videos even smoother at nice picture quality and also 60fps video framerate drops time to time so it would be better if these were fixed..

Works well, but would be better with less drift or at least a more instantaneous way of recentering the image. Having to bring up the virtual controls and then work the centering button as the controls continue drifting along with the picture is a big pain. It would also be nice if I could adjust the inter-pupillary-distance in the settings.

Sure it plays videos but you can't control them. The Gaze controller only appears when it wants to and the center video function doesn't work. So you plug in a mouse thinking surely that's going to work...it doesn't

This is the best one in the market so far. My suggestion are, Please add options to increase the video screen size. This one seems smaller, pls add hw/sw acceleration. Some HD files lags. Hope it will be included in future updates. :)

Works well on my galaxy s5, except the Play Video Link has never worked. Also wish there was an option to loop the video. Switching to another player because this one can't loop.

This is the only VR app that will play large resolution files. The UI and features need work. Right now i find the best vr UI being VaRs VR app.

only one app which can show video from my stereo camcorder without any lag and with sound. thank to developer

This player is great for my Shinecon headset which isn't compatible with the OPPO R7 Plus. I'm enjoying using it as a movie viewer. Excellent spacing and video playback.

The centering button doesn't make sense. Either add a double tap to center or once you hit the center button allow me to place my head in the position I would like to center to with a countdown timer or something.
