Great app, great light bulb. I set up the timers and now I only worry about turning my light on and off during the weekends when I dont know when I want it on. It would be a 5/5 if I could activate a sunrise without the need for a timer so when i wake up on my days off, i still get the progressive brightening.
Barebones and lackluster. Timers do not seem to work and does not detect lights some of the time, even when nearby. Lights do not sync patterns when grouped, greatly reducing the utility of groups existing in the first place.
can't get it to connect to google hub and the alarm just stopped working. it seems to have an internal timer that's off.
The app requires strange permissions and frequently fails to connect to the bulb, rendering it useless. Not sure how something so essential to the product is so unreliable.
not a very well designed app, usually can't connect. the apps itself is ugly and makes what should be a simple process tedious and laborious.
too many permission requirements for features I don't want to use, app reverts back to the open screen any time I try to change the color or anything...
It's a lousy app. I'm returning the device ASAP. Constantly loses connection. Beyond useless, it's just a pain.
Android app functions, outside of simply turn off and on, stopped working (iPhone app still works). Fix this please
The only reason that I gave this app only 4 stars is that once in a great while the app does not see the light. Other than that, I really like the app.
best app on play store for ALL "magic" ble devices. hands down. even works with "magicblue" or magic blue brand.,
The mic function will stop working shortly after I minimize the app, even though it says it should work
Works but sure would be nice if we could set a timer schedule for the lights.

Security is obviously the last thing on their minds. Don't recommend due to escalated privileges.
Doesn't detect my new speaker even though it's connected to my phone

It's a shame so many people rated the app poorly based on a recent issue. Customer service is great, promptly responded to a widget bug complaint and found the issue which should be fixed in an upcoming update. Apparently broken by android update. App and widget work fine on my older devices. Great fun features, especially timer. Recommended.
This app succeeds in its purpose for me. It's obviously not perfect, but if good enough. If you're having trouble connecting to your light, just know that once you turn your light on you only have 20ish seconds to connect.
