once I read the instructions and realized you have to place a magnet on the turntable platter, then it worked after resetting the UF parameters. Set on 500 by default which does not work for me. So I set it on 40. And that work just fine. 33.1 RPMs for my turntable. Quite happy with that.
App is easy to use and seems accurate at slower rpms. It would be nice to know the specifications (max rpms and +/- X at selected rpm ranges (e.g. 100rpm +/- X1, 1000rpm +/- X2, 10,000rpm +/- X3) if possible...but that is likely a function of phone sensor subsytem as well and may not be something author can predict. I like the sensitivity adjustment but as another person indicated it would be nice to be able to detect polarity flips as well...but again, this may be something that is dependent on the phone. Thanks.
Would be nice if you could adjust the sound intensity of the counting beeps. It is way too LOUD!
The app doesn't work. The screen remains black, without any counter on it.
Excellent app man Android said support for only old version of Android but it works perfectly fine
Works gr8 once active level is changed. However, for small spindles can i suggest a differential activation level ciuld be more appropriate eg if the sine signal is 200 to 205 then a difference above 4 should activate.
Garbage. The screen is just blank. Nothing happens.
Working as expected Easy to use Simple interface Consistent results
stuck a little magnet on my drill press chuck held my phone close got a steady reading.
I wish this app were updated to the present android version.
not working the app properly
Cannot find instructions to operate
It really works for my wool winder.
The worst app that I downloaded is this one.The app doesen't work.
Nice but too slow
Counting Feeding and complete counting burger sound or hota to jyada accha hota
0.00 rpm counting with magnet placed
Working as expected.. 👍
Waste of time
Reluctant to rate poorly what others know to be a good app, however, as another reviewer pointed out the absence of any meaningful instructions is quite bizarre. There is a rpm counter at top right - however a primary counter also appears which I am yet to figure out . Why not spend a few minutes with a photo editor and point out what's what
Edited Sept 19 '15: 5 solid stars, and some more. A beta version has now an averaged RPM speed over 10 sec. Which in case of a high-er- RPM speed gives you an even more accurate result, especially in the case of a single piston gas engine. This is by far the most accurate App of all the RPM counters. For high RPMs, please use caution with the magnet and ensure that the magnet is properly secured. Original rerview: 4.8 Stars Extremely accurate and much better than any free apps to count RPMs, including stroboscopic or pseudo RPM counter. I used it to “fine tune" the RPM's on idle and max speed of a snowblower engine. it worked like a charm. Thanks a million! The only thing missing in this app is an "averaged RPM" over a short period of time, i.e 10,20 or 30 seconds and /or a graph. When tuning the carburetor, the engine will have slight variations, so, as the App reads the instant RPM, the RPMs jumps a bit, especially at high-er- rpm. Having an averaged speed/RPMs over short period of time would make that app well above 5 stars. Big thank you to the dev.
It would be great if it had a turn counter, I need that for counting turns while winding a coil.
Would anybody tell me why it doesn't work on my moto g4 plus because all it shows is blank screen
For some peculiar reason this app detects the passing of the magnet graphically and with the counter in the top left corner but doesn't register RPM.. Very disappointing. Hopefully they'll be a fix for it soon.
Can u make adjustable sensetivity. And hope it works with metal. Cuz only 1u or 2 are the effect from metal
Nice app but would be nice if it could detect a N-S magnetic change e.g. a spinning magnet. At the the moment it detects total magnitude only. Then I'll give you 5 stars
Wonderful app; works flawlessly. It does require adjustment to set the correct magnet detection threshold, but this is easily done, and once done it works wonderfully. The app has been updated to display to the nearest tenth of an RPM, making it more precise for measuring turntable speed accuracy, where you're looking for 33.3 (or 45.0) RPM.
Did nothing. Said free up a large amount of space to install. So I removed a working app to install this waste of time.
It works! Needed something to measure the spin speed of homemade ball mill. Taped a small neodynium magnet to the jar and had my phone under it to measure and adjust the RPM of my variable motor. Might need to adjust the magnetic threshold (100 uT default) before RPM starts to display, just touch and hold down anywhere on screen until input menu comes up. Seems to have trouble picking up passes over 500 rpm, might need a very strong magnet for higher RPM rates.
