With the magnetic field & DC current detector, you can easily and elegantly examine the origin and strength of a magnetic field. Use line scans to investigate areas more accurate. Share your measurements as pictures or data file for yourself or your friends for interpretation.
The origin of a magnetic field is connected to high DC currents. For example, you can quickly and easily determine the location of a power supply, a large consumer, or a defective part within a device. With the haptic feedback, you can even do this without having to look at the screen. For a later evaluation, share your measurement data.

The magnetic field strength is detected with a sampling rate of 5 ms and an average of 50 ms. The accuracy is ~ 0.15 μT. In order to obtain quantitatively correct values for the magnetic fields, please calibrate the magnetic field sensor before application. You calibrate the sensor by moving the mobile phone in a loop and rotating around itself. Important: In a space where only the earth's magnetic field is present.

Alternating currents cannot be detected. For this, we are developing another app.

Very interesting, I've read from CA research that sustained exposure to micro Tesla's over 100 is cancerous. I've tested everywhere and it's mostly normal readings. But If you pass this App sensor over another cell phone within two inches the reading can go over 800mT.

DO NOT TRUST THIS APP, GET A REAL EMF DETECTOR AND MULTIMETER!! this app is complete bogus. Anyone with half a brain can see this, for those who know nothing of electrical current or how this app is actually working then you shouldn't be using it at all. it's a gag. micro Tesla reading can be manipulated by turning your phone, the all is using the compass, just not for measuring, its using it to change the value of the unit by the direction it finds itself. figured this out in 3 minutes of use.

Thought it was cool until I discovered that the reading was half influenced by the angle of the accelerometer. I could hold the phone upside and get high readings and upright for lower readings.

works great. uses compass for emf field. on my phone it's located in to top area which explain why the value changes when moving phone. not sure on accuracy. just tells me there is a current there. for a free app I gave it a 5 rating.

Very fun to play with. I find myself looking for the small, accidental electric currents caused by things like a metal Lamppost that is half in the Sun and half in the shade. this would be a good educational tool for someone just learning how these things work.

Really accurate and made me discover High EMF in my house where I wouldnt have had a clue otherwise. I still want to know why the wall behind my dresser spikes dramatically like it does if i have it directed at my PC. Interesting.

Loved it. It uses the magnetic sensor in the phone. If your phone says it has a compass then this app will work. I have a pretty powerful sub in my flat that makes this app go bonkers if I take it close to it. Haha

It definitely detects magnetic fields, but not for EFM detection; at least not accurately. I have still to figure out how to use this for DC voltage detection.

The dc current locator works very well even on the cheapest phone I've ever owned. I will have to research what an electromagmetic field is to check out that aspect of the app.

I build and race electric rc and this is a handy tool tuning tool. it lets me see the internals of a dc motor with having to remove it and tear it down for a visual inspection. Great tool to have in my tuning arsenal.
