Magnificat (US edition)

The Magnificat is an absolute treasure from heaven. As a daily communicant, I'm able to access all of the readings & gospel at my fingertips. I previously used the book & wasn't sure whether I would enjoy the digital version as much. However, all of the additional features(yes, there are many) are included. It's an even more compact way to take God's Word with you. In addition, I had a few questions & contacted their support team. Unbelievably helpful is an understatement. I recommend highly!!

Loaded the app and signed in, simple to use and works. Liked the alarm feature that reminds you of morning, evening and night prayer. The large font is helpful for someone like myself who has trouble viewing small objects or near objects. Thank you for the great app! God Bless! Note: There are some individuals who mentioned having trouble loading the app. Please make sure you sign in before trying to download any content. Otherwise, you get the "retry" message.

Outstanding when it works. Unfortunately, I've been unable to download updated content for the current month and nothing makes a difference. Cleared data, logged out then back in, uninstalled and reinstalled, still no data. It's awfully expensive for something that so frequently refuses to work.

It stopped working within a few months. I haven't been able to open any content for the last 2 months and receive the message: "ERROR download. Try again" Nothing I've tried so far has resolved this issue. I've been a subscriber of Magnificat for many years and was so grateful to have access to it electronically, but it didn't last more than a few months

Had some issues getting the subscription worked out. Seems to be working after I reset the data. Overall I love the way the app is setup. As a convert I really need the order of the mass, and the alerts are very useful for helping me break up the day. I wish they had one for the liturgy of the hours.

Impossible to open. Instructions stated 'touch to retry'. Touched 37 times - the 2nd time - and gave up. Would like to be able to access each day entire prayers etc but can't isolate them. Took me a long time to even get to this page. Really disappointing. Need a new software designer. I'll just use the paper book. Sad. And by the way, it says my subscription is UNPAID when I have actually paid twice in the last 3 months. Again, sad.

A beautiful blessing to have the daily prayers and readings of the church close at hand to pray in unity with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Easy to use, very functional- easy text size change, reminder settings... super! Thank you for the complimentary trial in these trying times. God bless those involved in making this available.

Offers diverse and interesting material, and provides spiritual readings and prayers that fit well in my before/after work prayer times. I love The Hours, but have a hard time fitting them into my schedule. Magnificat's Hours inspired content fits well. I really like the articles, art commentary, and other content. I have not had any challenges using the app, and look forward to continuing to read it in the mornings and evenings.

Thank you for offering this for free during this time. I couldn't get the app to work from downloading directly from play store which was disappointing, so I went to their website and signed up from there first, the page opens and download the app from that page....then open app and plug in the sign up information that you used on their website. Haven't had any issues with it doing this way. Hope this might help others have success. God bless!

Beautiful, intuitive design; easy to use with common prayers available, but not displayed unless you need them. Opens automatically to today's reading, after displaying the beautiful cover art. Just wish there was a darker background color option. Ivory is quite pale. I prefer white txt on black.

Says this app is compatible with my android device. I install it & download fails. It had worked in previous issues i.e., Feb., April etc. OK, that being said, I want to be very clear about my rating as first being only 1 star. Since the time of the original post, I have learned (by taking a chance on the "English" edition vs "US" edition)...It worked!!! imagine my surprise! So, for those of you who haven't been successful in downloading the US edition on your android, please try the "English".

I love Magnificat but not the app. Use is cumbersome & distracting. The way to access the mass of the day & the order of the Mass: you should be able to have, for example, a link at the end of the collect that takes you directly back to the exact place in the order of the Mass.... or, ie. from the order of the Mass ie. right of communion to the prayer before communion for the mass of the day. Also, helpful to include daily readings & proper rdgs for specific days when they are optional...

Great!! I have been looking for an app that can be used to guide you thru the Mass, and this is the best one so far. I like how easy it is to switch from the Order of the Mass, to the Readings and back again. It requires a subscription to Magnificat, which I had anyway. My wife now uses the book and I use the app. Thanks for taking the time and effort to develop such a great companion app. This is very useful for the New or Lifelong Catholics who have trouble holding the bulky Missals at Mass.

Only downloaded because a lot of the time the print version is late in arriving. I wouldn't use it all if I didn't have to. I'm on call most times so my notifications are turned on and it is quite distracting.

I rated this fair because, tho the magazine is wonderful, the prayers and readings are beautiful, I haven't received 2 issues in the mail (Dec.for Advent , and Mar. for Lent!). In Dec. I was able to use the online edition with no problems, and I was ok with it, tho I really like the book in my hands (old lady, old school). This month however (March), like so many other reviews I read, I keep getting the "can't load, tap to retry" message. I've restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled

I love the app; no problems for years. However, I was also having trouble with opening the July issue. I tried every day. Today, I uninstalled then reinstalled the app and it's working fine.

Interface on the issue itself is great, HOWEVER, can't access past issues, and can't login because there's no option to retrieve credentials if you don't recall which email address was used.

It doesn't work well at all. Many times I can't download the current month or features. It had worked for a while, but now almost all downloads fail. Thankfully I have the hard copy, which I use almost all the time.

Mix results. I still don't know why you can't refresh the current month. I can download and delete the previous and next months. But I can't delete the current month or rather refresh it? I'm getting errors of prayers missing all over the place. This is what I get for removing the beta version of the app. I finally uninstalled the app and cleared old cache from device. Then re installed the app and this time the current month missal download fine. However, a current missal refresh is needed

Stopped working. Can't get it to download current month. Subscription has been paid for the year but unable to use it! Tried deleting and redownloading the app and still doesn't work.

The free trial worked great. Now that I have a paid subscription, the app has crapped out in me. Just in time for Mass, too. I couldn't find a help button in settings.

The app is coming up blank repeatedly. I'm getting an error can't load message. I've cleared cache and storage and also reinstalled several times.

Very disappointed! I paid for my all digital subscription & was eager to enjoy this beautiful & quality publication on my phone & tablet. Unfortunately, the app doesn't work!! Gives an error and instructs to "tap to retry"!! I did & it NEVER loaded. Also bought my mother a subscription in Spanish (Americas) and the same issue exists on its app! Now she has to use the POORLY developed website which is ALSO CLUMSY, DIFFICULT TO USE & FAULTY!! I expected more from this publication! Garbage app!!

Wonderful App! Works fine for me. Don't have a problem getting to the best it has to offer. As long as I remember to pay for my subscription and remember which email account its under.

I have downloaded both the English (USA) & Spanish (US & Americas) version and both do not work! I get an "error loading, touch to retry" message and it never works! Paid for subscription & cannot use on tablet, which is very frustrating! Please fix this!

Use android. "Prayer not available" maybe on 1/4 of items. I have tried restarting, forcing stop and google searching the error to no avail. Very frustrating. Going to try uninstall reinstall now. I wish I hadn't just renewed or I'd go back to Give Us This Day"

The Magnificat app is so easy to use as I pray with the rythm of the Church. I have it on my pixel 3 and my Samsung tablet. It loads easily on both, and I appreciate that once the month is loaded, I don't need internet to access it's content.

One of the best booklet or ebook for morning and evening prayer and all meditation and reflection relating to the daily mass and reading. It also provides hope and encouragement and strength. Take your time as you read it daily and I am sure you will find encouragement.

Says error..then when trying to log in it says username and password unmatched, but logging in on website it works. I appreciate the app being free while most of us are kept out of Mass, but I hope this gets fixed before tomorrow so my family can use it. I have a galaxy s7 running android oreo

I have both the printed prayer magazine and the digital. It is so very convenient so that when I am not at home, I can still pray. I have been a subscriber from the very beginning. It has made my prayer life so much richer! 😌
