This app is great! Up to 10x the magnification, and the image stays clear. I also like the options that this app delivers. There is a camera for taking stills, and if you need extra light, you got it. I can even pause the image or change the tone, which in some cases aids in the reading of letters or numbers. Stored images also show me a pathway for easier lookup later. I am very impressed, and recommend this tool to everyone.
It's a magnifier. It works, when it's ads allow you to get to it. The intrusive pop-up ads are immediate and persistent, interrupting your task right at the start and preventing a quick and efficient look-see at whatever you need it for. Maybe they're all this way but I'm done. You can use your phone's camera which is all it does; it will do the same thing.
I've only used this app once so far, to read the ridiculously small print on a Rx bottle. But i was truly delighted at how well it worked and how intuitive it is. A competitor's app took forever to focus and then couldn't maintain focus. This one latched onto a clear magnified image so quickly it blew me away. A keeper for sure. And it uses your phone's flashlight if you're in a place where you need additional lighting. Absolutely 5⭐ minimum!
I really hate it when you're using app and you left a review and you get nagged for five stars. Trying to read the part numbers on some things are so tiny that a regular magnifying glass still has trouble. you can zoom in and out and turn the lights on and off take many pictures and eventually you will be able to see in those pictures every single letter and number that's so tiny. A little patience goes a long way just keep practicing and you'll never go without
DISAPPOINTED! Update to my review: I've been using this app for a very long time with minimal problems. I consider myself loyal and when I like an app, will tell everyone. Unfortunately, when i don't like one, i tell everyone as well. I am no longer able to use it! Each time i try, another ad pops up rendering the app useless. Uninstalling.
Awesome just like the one on my old Samsung S7 but better. I can recommend this one works straight out off the box and the auto focus and manual zoom is great. No waiting for the magnifier to refocus either Even the flash light works a treat with the magnifier. Plus lots of extra features such as the ability to take photos of what you're looking at. Tested the app by reading a map and i love it. if i could upload photos i would just to prove what i say. Phone used is the OnePlus 7.
This app makes me angry every time I've used it. It has full screen video ads that make you watch for at least 5 seconds just as you open the app. I usually need this app to work in a hurry when I'm at a store and need to see something quickly. I don't really care about the features. I just want a simple app that works faster than my phone camera. It's frustrating and I'm deleting it now.
(1.6.0) This is a great magnifier, but I now recommend that you stay with (or go back to, if necessary) 1.5.8. Starting with 1.6.0, an ad(ish) thing appears on the screen. Also, I wish that it used a rescaling method that did not increase the contrast, instead of Lanczos or unsharp mask. Overall though, it's good enough.
The app use to be great. I used it rather frequently. The ads however are now popping up so fast totally blocking the screen that the app is now impossible to use. Literally every 10 seconds ads pop up and you have to click out of 3 of them in a row. You go another 10 seconds and here come three more.
Helpful. The interface is a bit crowded. I get it you have to pay for the ad free version. But it's more cluttered than necessary.
Helps when print is extremely difficult to read.
Works great and ads are not too intrusive.
Really good. Works really well, and i like that i can capture what im trying to read so i don't have to hold the thing and the phone the whole time. I also love the focus options. Makes a real difference. Havent seen any ads yet. I would pay if there was a donation button or pro version.
No way to turn off auto-focus. When paused no way to zoom, either with slider or pinch zoom. I liked that it isn't full-screen by default so you can easily use the standard navigation buttons at the bottom to switch apps. And no ads, amen.
Awesome app. Better than 20/20 vision accuracy.
I like Magnifier because it allows me to view a magnified digital image on screen using ambient light, or I can view the magnified image with a very bright light or one of the APPs color filters. I can take a magnified photo, selfie or video using the APPs camera or recorder. I use the APP to view images w/o leaving the APP. I can physically expand or contract on screen images using my fingers. I use use the APPs slide to adjust magnification up to 10x. There is a PRO version. I like! Thank you.
Very high magnification for a phone. impressed
Useful to have we always use our phones so having many apps and the nagnifieer is one
Ad after ad after ad!!! I try to watch it sideways, more viewing area, it starts one ad, that rotates the screen, I close the ad, it rotates the screen and before the image can even come up, a second ad appears and then a third and a fourth and this seems like it'll go on for all of eternity...
Great App does what it says on the tin, highly recommended
This allows me to closely inspect my hair before trimming split ends or split strands. Also allows me to look closely at knots to see if they can be undone or should be cut off (if you've got unpermed, kinky-coily hair, you'll understand). Seems like a good app so far but I've only had it for 10 minutes. I'll use it during this week and update review/stars if it passes my other tests. Update: Good app to have 👍
It was a great ap, but since the update ads keep popping up only seconds after I closed the last one, fillng the screen. They make the ap unusable . Plus the x to close the ads is so small I keep opening the ad link when I try and close the ad. I'm going to delete it and find a better one
This app used to be good until the ads became in your face (full screen and sometimes really loud) I am uninstalling it. I have now found one just as good with no ads. On the other hand, I do understand having ads, but NOT frequent obtrusive ones.
Works fairly well and is worth installing. But if there is a settings menu I couldn't find it. Also need to be able to change brightness, contrast, flash intensity, manual focus before it can be 5 stars.
Starting low on the Rating as just downloaded the app & learning the icon's. So far does as described & after a bit found the Toolbar can slide < or > to access more. The steadier the camera obviously the quicker the desired results will be achieved.
This has been the best magnifier, so far, that I have downloaded. I think it is possibly the 6th one I have installed on my phone and the only one that has worked according to its description. I will post an update of I discover any problems with it, at a later date.
Have a galaxy s9. This app does nothing different than my standard camera app. I do a lot of macro photography. On the 10x power magnification setting, it is no different than my standard phone camera. Only difference is the app isn't as crisp as standard phone camera. May be useful if your phone cam doesn't offer much magnification.
The image is clear. the app is easy to use -you think others would figure out it needs to be easy for visually impaired. After trying many magnifiers, I kept this one.
The ads! Every time I try to focus on anything, or whenever it decides to wildly shift from landscape to portrait, another ad, after ad, after ad. It was unusable for me.
i just installed it and have not played with all the options but right off i could not believe how quickly and easy it focused. i uninstalled the other magnifier app. Standing in the grocery trying to read a label i finally gave up, completely frustrated, it just took forever to focus. This one came in so quick and im not even familiar with it yet. so far i love it. Update 5/2022. Can't take pictures. I keep getting a "you can't take pictures while". While WHAT??. Some features are gone
