Magnifying Glass

Most apps need to have ads to support them (fair enough) but this is absurd! The ads pop up and cover the whole screen - often with a very loud video that you have to wait to play through - if that's not annoying enough the ads also pop up at a timing that seems to be set for when you've just finally gotten the focus to where you can read what you're trying to read - this developer very obviously does not use this app!! Recommendation: do not install/uninstall immediately!

decent app, does the job, however the intrusive ads are sometimes impossible to close! about three out of every five times I use the app I have to completely close the app and start over from the beginning because there is no way to simply turn off the ad once it has loaded

It takes a few seconds for the lens to focus, but helpful if viewing small lettering on maps. Funnily enough, the ad that came on was for Fugi film prints, which I had thought about trying to find anyway. I've had this app for two years now and found it useful when I needed it.

If you don't allow it to record, it won't open. Interesting that it needs to record anything when the whole point is to magnify text so users can read easier.

I actually meant to rate this FIVE STARS! -- maybe that just shows what a visually-challenged person I've become with FOUR eye diseases, two non-treatable, that I'm told will steal my sight at an unusually younger age. =( Thank u, Beacon Studio, for a nicely user-friendly app.. Focuses mostly quicker than the last similar app I had from a different creator. I'm pleased that it takes up relatively little storage/memory -- about six-to-seven MB's on my LG Stylo 4 phone. (I wish Google & many other greedy memory-hogging apps would take a lesson in that!) The only thing I could wish for in it would be the ability to magnify my phone's own screen, itself! Like on this blessedly small keyboard! Lol. This app is a near life-saver for some visually challenged folks out here -- Thanks again, Beacon! -- G P.S. Oh, does this app have ads?? Lol - I don't even see 'em! 😉 P.P.S. Ha! Google just gave me a chance to go back & CHANGE the number of stars I originally goofed at! Bless their googly hearts!

absolute rubbish. the adverts open as soon as you try to use the magnifying glass and completely cover the screen. also the focus is shocking. absolute no use for reading small print. I'm uninstalling this app in favour of one that actually works.

Awesome app. Adjustable magnification levels via proportional slider. One of the best features is the advertising method. ONE AD ONLY when you first start the app. Once you close the ad you're never bothered again during useage session.

Recent eyesight issues has impacted my close sight and the reading of small size printed word. This magnification app has been a godsend and given me back some freedoms particularly reading labels in the supermarket, instructions on tags and cooking instructions on packet items. It has even helped me with wound care as I cut my foot and couldn't see the damage without this app. Modern phones are still new to me as is this app but in hindsight I wish I had this years ago.

Ads pops up before each use. Sometime the ad auto plays a video with sounds. Very obnoxious. Ads are understandable. Ads that disrupt the function of the app are not. Better choices out there.

Ads are obnoxious. They happen on every load. I would like the option to buy them away. The magnifying glass function is good, allows intuitive adjustments to magnification.

This app is very useful. I tend to use this app everywhere...at home to read small prints on label and at some restaurants to read the menu. It's a must have. always handy when needed. Keep up the good work.

Does the magnifying thing. Separate strength slide bar and light setting too. Groovy. Would be nice to see what the magnification strength actually is... but who's complaining amirite.

So handy for seeing the otherwise unseeable, and includes a light! Love it! I can now read the very small white print that many manufacturers continue to put on their packaging (eg pie heating instructions and recommended Vitamin B1 dosage), minor details clearly not meant to be read!

works quite well . Great app , only seems to have one ad just after app is activated . App well worth that little inconvenience . A must have to read fine print or anything else that you would use a handheld for . 2 thumbs up . Thanks for a good app . edit 1-10-2022 : Even after 3 years i still use this app .

THIEVES!!! That is all I can call the developer. I liked it enough to pay for it When I did the ads ceased. But soon thereafter, they started again. and no record to be found of my purchase. THEIVES!!

When it finally opens it's great. The problem is that it goes to an ad immediately, and usually when I need the magnification, I need it right away. I will be looking for another.

Ads pop up when I'm trying to use the app. I need to see my project maybe ads could share the same page just the lower portion of the screen.

A great little app. Ads arent really a problem. Dont like em, close them. The magnifier is good. Be good to take photo and save too but hey, its free

Simple and nice. Ads could have been better placed/timed... They cause interruption a lt wrong times.

Very annoying ads. Doesn't seem. To be an option to get rid of them. Shame, because otherwise a nice magnifier.

a handy app when ever written in small font, it can conveniently used to get the reading done. especially for the ones usi h reading glasses.

The app is great except that it keeps on focus hunting. Would have been better if it simply locked the focus when user taps & hold.

works really well. ability to add extra light is great. Ads are not too annoying as only one per session

When I need to use it an ad pops up just at the moment when I'm about to clearly see what I need to see. Like the small print. Very annoying.

App does what it says. But the annoying ads & asking for a rating everytime you close it, means it's being uninstalled.

Nice app. Keeping in focus can be a challenge at times, but a reommended all the same.

Ads drive me nuts. Basically unusable because of the ads popping up. I paid for the premium version but the ad still pop up

Works well. Light function helps with visibility. Pop up ads are annoying.
