Mahjong

Love this game. It helps me with my memory, speed, perifial vision, etc. I wish it showed you what level you are on and the name of the each of each level that you're playing (water, fire, air, etc) somewhere on the board. It gives chances to win hints and allows tiles to shuffle if needed so that you can continue playing. It's a great game of Mahjong for beginners of the game. The ads are short and shown only after completing each level and if you need to shuffle tiles. I would recommend!!

The gameplay is fun, but the ads are excessive. An ad after every game is too much. I'm quick to complete the levels, and so I'm getting an ad every 40 second to a minute. At this point it feels like a 50/50 split between time spent playing, and time spent waiting for the ad to let me exit.

I completed all puzzles/games in the series each with 3*. I waited more than a year but the "coming soon" never changed, I changed devices twice in 5 yrs but nothing new. I recently changed phones and lost all my status even though I backed up and restored the app data. It was good while it lasted but once you're done, you're done.

I really enjoy this version of the game, especially the way they handle ads. There's no "pay to play" micro transaction pressure like in other games... Out of moves? Watch an ad to earn a free shuffle. Very honest and straightforward, and otherwise they only play ads every 5 levels or so. I also like the ability to change the tile design, the traditional tiles are hard for me to tell apart at times, but the farm set uses different bright colors and shapes, which are easier for me.

I played about 10 levels before I uninstalled. I have two big problems with this game: 1: The ads. Open the game, immediately there's an ad. In a level, there's an ad at the bottom. Finish a level, another ad. The sheer number of ads to play a 30 second level is ridiculous. 2: Normally in Mahjongg you have to pay attention to the board and plan ahead. Not this! You literally cannot lose. It's set up so you just keep picking exposed tiles, and then you win. No challenge whatsoever.

The touch reactivity is good, the legibility is clear which is wonderful. I do wish you could turn off the tile animation when you make a set as I find it distracting. I also wish you wouldn't have to watch an ad every time you open the app. At least let me play for a few minutes before you spam me with ads. Seriously. I'll pay 3.99$ to get rid of ads permanently. But the amount of ads is wildly unnecessary. I also wish there were more background options.

Awesome game, to help you with memory, and quick thinking. Have played it before, with other sites, it would be helpful if they can make music softer and not that loud. Also it be nice to make the letters or marks on dice larger for those elders, or people with poor eyesight. Heads up to the developer, it's great help to boost memory. Love the dice design also.

I'm used to playing Mahjong where are the tiles are the same shade. Meaning, in this app, only the open tiles are highlighted. Also, I've noticed your tile choices are pretty much straightforward. Meaning, the app never makes you choose between 3 of the same tiles, there's only ever one match available. It could be harder, but it's certainly enjoyable. 🙂

The game works perfectly fine, looks very good, and the ads are only 5 seconds long. The problem is: it's way too easy (not in a good way) It won't let you miss! so there's no challenge, therefore, no point in playing it. I got to level 9 in less than 8 minutes...less than 1min. per level. It's not fun. Uninstalled. I'm sorry.

It's a good game and I do agree that the adds are a lot but they're 5 second adds that you can easily close so it's not anywhere near as bad as a lot of other apps out there. My big issue is that I've beat every level and it's been saying more levels coming soon for months and they haven't added any additional levels since I first downloaded the game. Once you beat this, the daily levels are the only thing left to do. Kinda disappointed. Don't promise more levels if there aren't any

I love this app. I normally don't play games but this one is easy to difficult. But I really like it a lot. Very relaxing and so easy to play. If you can't find tiles to match (After 5 games you get extra tips to go faster. Also you can shuffle after watching short videos. I didn't mind watching and gave my eyes a chance to have a break. I highly recommend this game. Great for improving memory skills. Best app I have installed oh yes, it saves your place when you have to close it comes back

Finding pairs can be fun and mentally therapeutic for those dealing with brain injuries. The 30 topics with 30 sub topics gives the player plenty to work with. The exercises begin when the puzzles are completed within the time limits or less. The challenge is to get progressively better at completing the puzzles / games. Good luck! Challenge your friends / yourself, but have fun.

I really like this game and I keep loading and unloading it. At first It starts with big pieces and I like that but then as I play along the pieces start getting smaller and my eyes get so tired because I am forcing them so much. Could it be possible to keep the pieces the same size as when you first download the game? Then I'll give 5 stars, otherwise, I'll have to unload it again and that would be too bad because it really is a good game for me. By the way, I love the nice, calming music.

It starts off very basic and slow. Most people who download Mahjong know how to plan so I don't think an introductory period is needed, especially if there is a tutorial section within the app. Nice graphics and I wasn't inundated with ads. So worth the download but only 3 stars because I found it too easy.

Been only playing for a few hours today so far - There are ads but not as many as I seen in other games and not very long. Nice u can pick font on the tiles since some make it more challenging to play. Needed to find a game to get away from another that was becoming "Pay to Play". The bigger the game gets the more they try to push u into spending $$. I hope this stays safe from that.

This app is truly excellent. You start off with a bunch of different tile sets to choose from, then you have different backgrounds you can win by completing the Daily challenges for the month. Even *past* months! Just go backwards on the Challenge calendar and win all the days in those months! Then you get beautiful variety to enjoy while you play! I LOVE CanaryDroid!!! btw, the tiles are a nice, easy-to-see size and the layouts are unique and fascinating. I'm *very* happy! THANK YOU. 😁❤

It is a simple app with simple features. My only complaint is that there are too many ads and no way to even pay to remove them. I played about 5 rounds without an ad and then I started getting ads after every game for the next 10-15. It got to the point that I was moving through levels faster than the ads were running so I spent more time watching ads than playing. If they reduced the ads or even offered a $.99 ad removal fee - I would rate it higher.

Now, when I play games like this, I expect to have to watch some ads. This game makes you watch an ad after every level, not only that but it it gets stuck in a loop, playing ads over and over until I just close the app and kill it, then re-boot it. I would gladly give four, even five stars if they would fix the ad problem. I'm sure many of us wouldn't mind watching one ad every few levels.

Well-made software but too easy. Good: It looks good and runs smoothly. The ads only appear between games. I did not see any sleazy or shady ads. Easy to use. Bad: The early rounds were all way too easy and I did not have the patience to wait and see if it ever got hard enough to be fun. Also, the animations are annoying and can't be turned off.

Used to be fun. Now there are ads you can't get out of. Used to have to wait 30 seconds for an ad clip to play and the click the X and get back to the game. Now there are ads for loans and refinancing and they stay on the screen! There's no X to close them. Click on the ad, go back to the game But the Ad Is Still There! Close the game for a few minutes, reopen it and the Ad is Still There. Ready to delete if this isn't fixed soon.

I've always been interested in what Mahjong is. At first I thought the game was a breeze. I mean who can't match symbols? But as I progressed I learned it's more challenging than a simple matching game. It is very intricate & beautiful. There is a certain way the pieces have to be matched. I've ended up scratching my head at some puzzles. It is fun & time consuming in a good way. No time limits & no rushing to beat the clock. I love it! I'm hooked!

I was quite surprised to see so many negative reviews here, as I thought this app essentially does what it says on the tin. I find the graphics quite visually interesting and, considering mahjong is just matching tiles, I feel the game does a good job of keeping things interesting by changing the set up each round. I tend to play it one round at a time with my media volume muted, so I haven't found the frequent ads and sound effects too off-putting, which seems to be the main gripe with the app.

At first it was a fun app with many levels and variations, and it still is. Originally ads were bearable, they could be skipped/closed or they only last about 5 seconds each. But recently I noticed they have bottom banner ads pop up along the end of the screen during a live game. This is VERY distracting and annoying, it breaks up your concentration and affects your timing. They should disable this, it makes me not want to play this game anymore. I am marking down stars down because of this.

Used to be a great game, and it has honed my mahjong skills. Occasionally, the ads would block out internet radio stations. This got better, but now, often the ads lock up the game when they appear, making the game unusable for an indefinite period of time. The jamming continues, but now it's stuck on level SAND-30, cycling between 2 layouts. Tried it again months later. Still annoying. Also presumptive with false pride. Unredeemable. I fart in your general direction.

Contains ads is an understatement. Ads after each game is too much, but then, as Allison kindly pointed out, I'm an "idiot". Also, I finished all the levels with 3 stars to each game and I'm still waiting for "coming soon" after level sand. So, not to take up room on my device, I will uninstall which means I lose all I did. They should have thought of a way to log in so that you don't lose anything if you accidently lose your device or uninstall it temporarily to free up space.

Overall good. I got bored with it once I realized the level generation is highly simplified. This ensures the levels are always soluble, but once you see the pattern, you will hardly ever fail a level. This is not true mahjong where the tiles are more randomly placed and you have to be strategic to reduce the chances of getting stuck. This is more of a speed matching game.
