- July 2015 update
These protocols are issued by the Medical Direction and Practice Board and govern the practice of EMS licensees by the authority of 32 MRSA § 86.2-A. All Maine emergency physicians and the regional EMS programs were invited to participate in the review and adoption of these protocols through their MEMS Regional Councils.
The Regional Medical Directors agree that when treatments are adopted in their regions, they will be consistent with these protocols.
The protocols will be continually reviewed.

Will not work after being downloaded. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still wont work. Got message saying "There was a problem loading the app's configuration data. See the Output Console in your developement tool. (Eclipse, Android Studio, etc)(2). Then I just get a blank black screen I just did as you said and I am still getting the same error message followed by blank black screen
The trauma section ends at the ophthalmology protocol. The open fracture protocol (green 29) is entirely missing from the app.
Update as of 10:45 Well the app opens at least finally. Still no functionality with the map or the contacts tab. Sloppy cut and paste from the current protocol pdf and even has some pages left from an older protocol version. Do your job!
App opens but if you click on a section it demands a helper app which then crashes saying the file is corrupt and cannot be opened. This occurs if you click for Adobe to open the doc or for kindle to do it. So far it looks like a better move just to open straight from kindle as a pdf.
App has good references and the protocols. Only problem I have is the map can't be opened and being in Maine its good to have a map but it doesn't work. Outher then the faulty map it's a very helpful app.
Updated for the new protocol rollout... now it doesn't work. Update as of 12/01 11:15 "There was a problem loading the app's configuration"

App locks up and cannot open pages. Was working before last update.
*ANDROID USERS* 1. Go to Settings —> Maine EMS —> Clear Cache 2. Settings —> Maine EMS —> Uninstall App (press "Ok" if it asks to erase all data) 3. Go to Google Play to get latest app version (currently 2019.22), install from here
Does not work with Android 10. The app won't even open.
Easy to use functional app. Does what it needs to well.
Latest update gives error and States cannot open screen.
Stopped working on Android after the 12/1/19 update.
Won't open update on Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Up to date protocol reference in the field.
Finally! Uninstall, THEN REBOOT PHONE, then reinstall
Updated app to get new protocols, congrats Maine EMS, it crashed. Wonderful job yet again.
Completely unusable after recent protocol update. Application crashes immediately upon start up.
Sorely lacking. Our new protocols took effect on 1/8/18. The app is STILL not updated. This protocol update was well publicized. Providers knew about the updates for at least 2 months before they took effect. Who dropped the ball with the app? Update: uninstalled the app and reinstalled to update to the new protocols. NOW IT CRASHES EVERY TIME. COMPLETELY USELESS.

App will not work after update... Not helpful
Only took me 10 minutes to find a problem. I can't scroll to pink 12, the paramedic level of pediatric respiratory distress with wheezing. Not sure what else is wrong. So much easier to turn a page. And: trying to access pain management in trauma crashes the app completely. Update 1/11/17: I've been using it a while. Still has some minor quirks, and occasional random crashes that it recovers from quickly. Still prefer the books.

Tried to use the pain management protocol and it shut the app down. That's a BIG issue that needs to be fixed. I'll change my review after the bugs are fixed. Obviously the maker of the app didn't go through it all to make sure everything works. Any body else had issues?. Update 7/15/15. Issues fixed. Worked pretty good.
Maybe it's just a glitch with mine, but the combative patient protocol is coming up as the cyanide exposure protocol. I'm going to redo the download.
Not functioning properly. It won't open several of the tabs and closes sporadically. Not great when you need it for emergency services! For example, pain management. It wants to open a PDF and doesn't. I updated back in January and have had constant issues since. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still have these issues. Very disappointed.
