Connect your AVS speaker to the Majority app to begin acting as a remote control for your speaker. In a simple set up, you can connect your speakers to WiFi and control your speaker via your phone§ and quickly begin playing your favourite music and stations through Spotify, TuneIn, and other compatible apps all in one place.
Sign into your Amazon Alexa account through the app to begin enjoying Alexa’s voice command and features. To switch to Bluetooth mode, use the app as a remote for your Majority Newton.
The Majority app can be used to connect two or more Majority AVS speakers to each other to provide a multi-room audio experience. Simply connect the speakers together and adjust the volume through the app to have complete control over the audio in your home.

If I could give zero stars I would. Changed my WiFi and this app will not connect either of my two (yes, I was stupid enough to buy two) Majority Newtons. I connect the Majority to my phone, the speaker confirms this. The app unhelpfully flashes "please connect your new Majority Newton". I'm not sure which bit of "speaker is connected to your phone" the app doesn't understand. All of it, it seems. Majority seem disinterested: they haven't updated this app in 2yrs! Attempted to contact the dev...
I have it installed on several devices to control 4 Newtons and it works fine - once you get used to it. Interface is a bit clunky but it certainly adds capability to the Newton and can give a multiroom system much cheaper than Sonos
Easy to connect to WiFi. Once you have connected the Amazan Alex app under the setting menu through the majority app itself, it works perfectly with voice control command. The sound quality quite flat but loud and clear sound volume.
Absolutely appalling. Have been trying for over 2 hours to connect with Alexa, after having spent nearly an hour just connecting to my network. Never known such a faff. Will be sending my Majority device back, if This debacle continues.
Impossible to connect What a headache, open the app, press add device, tells me to connect my phone via wifi to the speaker, I do that and go back to the app and it tells me to connect to the speaker. I connect to the speaker with the app closed then open the app and still nothing. Complete and utter garbage.
Can't control volume. Sometimes radio remains on mute. I tried a factory rest, nothing. Huge delay when paired with other devices.
Purchased the smart speak with Alexa. This app makes that purchase a waste of money. Not connecting to Amazon via this app. Glad a tried it out before putting it away for kids Christmas. Will be returning :(
Love the app, works great! Got an idea tho....why not put a graphic equaliser and a few graphic options on it and make it a superb app....?
Alexa now inoperable due to inability to connect WiFi. App fails to compete network setup for my Newton (hangs when scanning for 2.4Ghz networks)
Useless, doesn't work, and even when you go through the feedback option, it states 'fail'
10 out off 10. As its Cheeper than Amazon dot. And No Leeds. Just plug in set up. You can youse Other Music Apps
It got me connected to and in control of my Majority Newton.
Frustrating
Absolute garbage. Radio is awful, alexa setting doesn't work, factory reset just wipe stations, wifi doesn't connect. Followed everything i possibly could through the website, user guide, app without any luck what so ever. I install highend audio visual equipment for a living and this is the worst I have ever seen. Shall be returning asap.
