Make Japanese Friends ー Langmate

Not many Japanese, and for really learning Japanese you should be able to select text and translate it but here you can't select any text at all. After subscription also not able to select text and not many users above 40. Better to use it free or switch to other app. I really want my money back

The worst chatting app, it has a lot of bugs, I was automatically logged out, and when I tried to log in I found that my account had been deleted for no reason, and the support does not answer messages, if it was possible I would have given it minus 10 stars

I really like the app and everyone is super nice but the app has logged me out on its own more than once...it hasn't even been 5hrs and I've lost so many conversations if this bug gets fixed then I'll rate 5stars

Can't even add friends or chat without vip. Competing against other apps... this is an unfortunate fail. Reporting as false advertising in the app (lists free vip when it's not.)

This app is a good idea ruined by terrible performance (on Android). It takes a minute or more to load the messages page. It's basically unusable.

It seems to be a nice app so far but there is a huge BUG and I'm surprised that it is isn't fixed within the hour. Makes me wonder how long this bug has been going on. Messages disappear constantly. Making the conversation look weird and unable to follow , sometimes being confused. 80% of the messages disappear. If you can fix that basic bug, you get 5 stars of me. Bugs like these should be considered a high problem and instantly fixed.

The app let's you connect with people, but there is no way to filter results easily, and it only let's you go through a few people a day, after that you need to buy more coins to continue. The texting is often broken and you sometimes cannot see your or your friends messages, and can only read them in the preview box before clicking on them.

For the first time user, the app is good. But unfortunately, they should fix the chat box. The previous chat or the newly just read suddenly went missing or erase and I haven't read it yet. There's a pop up notification of 4 messages and when i opened it, there's nothing in there but the old conversation. You better fix this first.

Requiring coins to do literally everything is annoying, it definitely slows the whole process down. If you could watch unlimited adds, that would be ok, or instead of selling coins, the developers took a page out of most apps, and make a premium version for people who pay, vs a free version, but don't restrict the amount of swipes, messages, or anything else from free users. Give them incentive, without tieing their hands

The app is good for making friends BUT it has so many bugs, after making an account i found that i cannot upload a new photo. The button that should allow me to do it "acts" just like a normal photo, i press on it but nothing happens. When i wanted to write a bug report, i saw that i can't even upload a screenshot with my id (as it is required), same as with the "sleeve shot" attachment. You guys don't even allow bug reports to be sent to you 👎

In general the idea is good. The matching system makes a lot of sense. BUT there are a lot of technical issues like chats disappearing. And the most annoying thing is super aggressive monetisation. Without paying the app is technically useless and the pricing is ridiculous if you consider what you could get at other similar apps. Very often without paying anything you get a much better experience. Out of the apps I used I can make speaky and hello talk as good examples....

It has a big potential. but there's a lot of problems I faced, I can't add pictures and there's no explanation why, when I press on the notifications it doesn't load properly, sometimes when I open the chats some of my conversations are missing, sometimes the app hangs and I can't see my newest chats.

The app is nice, but it forces me to sign out and when I sign in, it just signs me out again, so I can't use it.

Any photo uploaded gets pixelated, horrible horrible experience!

Has so many bugs and it is super slow.

I cannot complete my profile. It took me several times to create it, with 1 picture. When I click next, nothing happens, everything disappears. And now, I want to add more pictures, it crushes. I also can't upload my profile screenshot.... requested by the team, in order to report a bug. :)) Uninstall.

My age is wrong. Could've sworn I had my birthday set to the right date. It seriously bothers me, and I can't change it. I was unable to use the contact service in their app because it doesn't work, so I contacted their email.. no response. I may end up deleting my account and uninstalling the app. Shame :/

Personally I have been using this app for just a week however despite some minor technical issues seems like a good app. I found people willing to help me with my Japanese studies and I had no troubles to connect and Interac. Is a little expensive however if you go for quality over quantity is nothing crazy. Watch out for scammers. There are a few.

This app is actually good when it comes to getting to know other people, i love that part. But it's very irritating when it comes to messages. I received a notification that I've received a message and then i opened it but It will take me more than 10 mins before i can open the messages and then when i open the messages there's no message. But it says 3 unread messages. I really hate that. I hope this app will improve more

I don't know why, but my messages sent to another person keeps disappearing without any reason. I can see the sentence I've sent on the chat boxes, but when I click them open the messages are not there. I keep resending my messages and it takes up all my points, and I'm worried if I'm spamming the person I'm texting. please do something about this, If you want to promote people around the world, especially from Japan to learn and make friends, make your App presentable!

It was a bit dissapointed. I like the minimalist concept and feature. This app is working fast when we chat to someone. But, it is too slow and sometimes getting error when we want to open notification and edit profile. Hope this can be fixed well next time.

Purchased a one week subscription that wouldnt show up in my account, so there was no proof of my purchase except the bank charge. Contacted customer support through back and forth email, seems to be a language barrier so it took a while for them to understand the situation I was trying to explain. Finally credited me my the coins I originally purchased 3 days later. There is no way to cancel the recurring payments.Coins are worthless if you don't keep VIP Cannot see messages sent to me.Not Good

My messages in the chatroom are disappearing randomly, so does my interlocutor's messages. It really messes our conversations. Also it often tries to load but gets stuck in the loading message. Please fix it because it is a good idea for an app but I can't use it like this.

I had fun time using Langmate. The overall experience is good. I met a lot of friends and learned other people's culture. But when I suddenly logged out and sign in again, it says that my facebook account is invalid and I cannot sign in back to my account. I hope to find solution for this problem. Thank you!

This application is true that allow me to find new friends even i'm in Malaysia and she or he in other countries like Japan. But here is my problem, when i and my friends are chatting, their chat will disappear on my side. I have try a few things like restart my phone and so on, but the result is the same. Please fix it as soon as possible. Thank you because your service is still can be used. :)

Needs some work. Chat messages keep disappearing. There are other reviews saying the same thing. I will type or recieve messages from other people, then they will completely disappear. Kind of hard to interact and build a history with someone if your entire comversation gets deleted every time you send it.

30 coins yoink... chat history disappears at times and never comes back. app crashes every now and then, as well as being slow. the coin system in my opinion is disengenous, costing coins even to send a single message. overall I would use this place to meet people, taking my conversation elsewhere afterwords.

Some people are friendly and some are not. Guess that's life. Many bugs in this app. App constantly closes out. Messages disappear after you receive them. Cost quite a bit of money to constantly buy coins. You can only have 15 friends unless you upgrade to VIP. Decent app, but needs a lot of work.
