Used to love this app. Would regularly peruse it when bored, and found so many awesome new products this way. I definitely avoided purchasing lots of duds too! But it stopped working completely, with a message saying the app was down. I've been waiting patiently for it to come back up, but it's still not responding after weeks. Really disappointed, as this was one of my favorite apps! Please fix it!

No longer works. used to be great, I could bring it to the store and scan a product's barcode and find reviews to help decide if I wanted it. Now it won't open, says its temporarily unavailable (for the last month) and directs me to the website which is useless on my phone to help with purchases. Uninstalled.

What happened?!? The app no longer works, it asks you to go to their website which is worthless on the phone. I really miss this app. It used to be perfect when shopping for new products. You simply scan the product code and the reviews popped up. Now, it's worthless. Bring back the app please!

i love this app and site. it makes it easier to find products because you can read what people think of them rather then guessing whether or not this product is good or not. very easy to get used to and to use. if you are trying to find makeup but not sure whats better fof you then i recommend taking a look on here and read what people have to say

It's been over month and it still say's its temporary down. The website version on mobile is horrendous. Since it's down for so long I might as well uninstall at this point.

I just installed it and it says it`s temporary unavailable. Can you tell me when it`ll be back to normal? I used to go on the website version so much to find real reviews of beauty products. It`d be a pity if this app closed down. Please bring it back!

no longer works, site got a massive overhaul I dont like and the app stopped working at the same time, so now the site is useless to me.

why isn't the app fixed yet? it's been so long that it says to go to the desktop site as it's been temporarily unavailable... should i just uninstall it

Cannot see my own profile or my reviews on the app.

Impossible to start your own reviews. Lots of discontinued products. Some of the latest reviews are over a year old. Will check out website and see if that is any better.

Yeah it's impossible to add reviews for new products using this app. I might return to this app if they added an option to view your own reviews.

It lacks some features that would made it 'pop' also search function is a bit off sometimes and gives you a lot of irrelevant data. As for being the only normal app for makeup, well that's a huge + from me.

Makeupalley is my #1 go-to place to check whether something is worth buying or not - the reviews and ratings have almost never led me to a purchase that I regretted. Must have for anyone who likes to try out makeup and skincare!

Always loved this site so very excited to download the app! They have what seems like every product and they have great informative reviews along with explanations of what the product is and does-sometimes the product developers site doesn't even have all of that (example:H2O!)

Love makeup alley but it's hard to browse categories on the app - best for looking up specific products.

I always check makeupalley before I make a purchase of a beauty item! Honest opinions and it's a great way to get an idea of how well a product performs before you spend your money. This app has helped me decide on everything from face wash to foundation. Eyeshadow and even hair products. Everything I need to know before I make a purchase. Love this website and the app is great too. I find the website more helpful bc you can scan barcodes. I wish the app was more like the website.

You cannot search or browse reviews. Pointless app!

I Can't update my profile photo. Please add: A button to follow favorite reviewers. I'd love to Send private messages to other reviewers. A like button for helpful reviews. A categorized favorite products list. Thanks for adding message boards!

I wanted to look up items based off reviews, but instead it was just a boring forum layout. You could only search items using a bar code scanner.

I like it already! Love MakeupAlley! It tells the truth about products so you don't waste time and money on a poor product. Always worked for me!

When u want to read..say 50 reviews or even more the 'load more' shows you the result from the top all over again. Whereas it is supposed to show from where you finished reading or where the page or content ends. This must be fixed so we don't have to scroll down too long and find the exact review from where you left off and read the newly loaded ones.

The look of it is based on iOS software from YEARS ago. This is ANDROID. What the hell is the UI about?! Your app designer should be sacked. And where the hell is the ability to sign in with Google? Nowhere. So I'm supposed to sign up in two different ways to accommodate your lousy app's limitations, am I? The bottom bar is clunky & gets in the way. The ads are just the final straw. Ads are tolerable if the app is otherwise decent. This is an embarrassing mess. Got rid after less than a minute.
