Category : Tools
The tools are marginally useful and the UI of the tools feels unnatural instead of what it would feel like for the real-world physical tool. The flashlight should turn on my phone's flashlight and not just raise the brightness of my screen. Also I don't know what the "battery" tool is supposed to be for, I already know what my phone's battery is at. The settings brings up this weird screen about ring tones. 😕 Basically I don't think anyone knew what they were doing when they developed this app.
The application works just fine and is without disturbing ads. Unfortunately it is badly underrated because of a wrong inscription. Most of the users erroneously believe that the Distance Measure tool does not function. The error is about the setting of the Lens Height. The Unit is in cm according the inscription but actually it is in dm(decimeter). 1 dm = 10 cm. So if you set up the Lens Height in decimeters, instead of centimeters, it works perfectly.
good idea and nice set up. Some tools work, but other are fare away from reality eg "distance meter" shows random values 80-100m in a small room. so better to delete that feature.
Great concept. Needs work. Need yo be able to choose between metric and SAE for distance. Need to be able to calibrate the distance as well.
Nice ideas, poor execution. Camera is out of focus all the time, some tools don't have proper calibration, overall not useful.
Awesome Utility, I hardly use it but when I'm doing some DIY on occasion... This app ALWAYS helps me do it perfectly! Literally takes out leveling tools out of my toolbox and adds other amazing tools to use. Generally I delete apps I dont use often... this one? NEVER!
Sound level meter is awesome, I used to calibrate my small home theater system... Distance level meter is not accurate... Sometimes gives results with only 10% accuracy....
the spirit level worked great, but the distance measure is so broken. it said a wall 2 meters from me was 43 meters away. my own hand game back as 25 meters away with sn outstretched arm. sadly this waa the function i waa interested in and hoping would work properly
Who knew my foot was 7.2 meters from my phone, held in my hand? The distance measuring tool is laughably, obviously wrong, and thats a pity -- the decibel meter and levels are thoughtfully laid out and simple to use. Just not ready for prime time yet.
Just installed it, looking for a way to inventory my Makita tools. I'd like to take a photo of the tool lable and have it entered into a structured form.
Even though I'm not a tradesman I have over 15 professional Makita tools and regard them as the best of the best. But I am sick of seeing them referring to torch as a flashlight - a torch gives a steady light and the other BY DEFINITION flashes, which would be very dangerous on site working with dangerous tools. HOWEVER this time it means a Morse Code converter - utterly brilliant! just proves that the dumb US use of one inaccurate word to cover a whole range of actual meanings is destructive.
Disappointed with the tools. Thakita should add more advanced measuring options than this. There are many more free apps available with lots of options.
Not sure how to calibrate this, perhaps I missed something? Converting from metric in your head is a real pleasure (not).
Nice tool app. Has everything I need without gimmicky junk. Would be even better if had brightness control for flashlight and a flashlight widget. Thanks Makita!
The distance meter is expected to be the most useful feature, but it is absolutely not accurate.
Seems pretty good but how do you set up the measuring tool? And it needs a way to change from meters to feet.
Cool app. But distance is in meters. Needs to have a setting for feet/inches.
I am so irritated with all things Makita. The chargers and the batteries...the whole collection is in the trash you dix
Works very good, with my mobile devices. Thank you Makita.
eveything is ok except for the distance measurements. cannot detect actual distance
Guys this is not adfree! The whole thing is an ad for Makita! Its an ad in app form
No help button, No calibration buttons. Distance is inaccurate.
The camera adjusting is inaccurate, it doesn't pass with lens on camera.
Poor development. Only good part is the Morse code, the rest useless.
Distance meter is completely inaccurate, the rest of ot is OK :)
The Distance Measure measures whatever except the actual distance. Uninstalled.
5 out of 6 almost perfect. Doesn't measure distance.
Thank you for such a helpful app, very handful. Keep it up, the great work.
Best tool is the level and spirit level the rest are gimacky or pointless and not accurate
Sadly not so impressed... "distance measure" seems totally inacurate for me. No matter how I try, it always throws ridiculous, not even aproximate measurements. "Flash light" is kind of a joke too; it not only doesn't turn actual phone's flash light on (yet it requires camera permissions) but intensity of the virtual flash light is very low even with display brightness set at full. The rest of the tools have been proven useful nevertheless... and it has no ads.
