Not a very user friendly app: navigation is very time consuming with the delay; You have to login into app and then into internet if you want to purchase online so then why do you have an app! ; payments are not easy to set up especially makro credit card payments and they also fail too often; viewing of order or lists is too cumbersome.. The items are spread out over multiple pages which you have to click too and not in 1 page view and next takes too long to load
Extremely frustrating! Everytime I try to log in it doesnt accept my credentials. When I do a password reset it takes hours to come through to my email. And even then, it gives me some silly error message about the password. It's a rewards card app for crying out loud! Why do I need a complex password like I'm trying to get into the Kremlin! I don't think it's worth all the trouble.
What an utterly useless app. Log in, select store, select goods on a screen that is not optimised for mobile phones, then go to checkout only to find you have to log in again and then be referred to a completely different store. Did you actually test this app before releasing it?. Methinks your programmers lost the plot on this one.
There is no functionality to this app. It tells you what products give you rewards and how much. When you click on the product it does not indicate the current in store price, just the reward value. What would make it very convenient is a online shopping list. Currently you can only add a product as a favourite.
Downloaded the APP because I wanted to improve my shopping experience, which doesn't, looks like it was intended for rewards promotions only. I believe a Store APP should have all the products available in store. No use of having an APP if I still need to stand in queues in store. It's doesn't help me at all.
Keep on getting error messages that the email or password is incorrect. Can't give you stars for this.
I don't really know what the purpose of this app is, when you can do practically nothing with it! Not even online shopping or managing your profile! And it takes ages to log in when I want to use it to display my card to a cashier - embarrassing to say the least! I'm uninstalling it. Had a new card printed anyway.
I've give this app a 0-star if I could. I see so many 1-star ratings, I wonder if this will ever be improved. It just never works when you need it most, I queued up for a day pass while I was trying to login on the app and ended up on the front of the queue and the app wouldn't log me in. I'm just not motivated to use it, might as well uninstall.
What I had intended to get from the app and what it offers are worlds apart. I was hoping it would have the promotional items which one could purchase online for collection/delivery. The reward thing they have going on is to tedious to try out. I hope Makro creates a better app as this one is not useful.
If this was an app that combines the whole shopping experience, checking balances, view recent transactions, ordering online, etc. that would have been great. It's just none of those.
I expected to be able to place an order from this app, but this only shows the rewards you will get from the app, and has no prices or options to buy or place and order, completely useless. Add useful options.
It does not work...tried clicking that I have bought something and it doesn't click. Useless. And why only show what you can earn back? Show the price of the item as well please, that way we can plan and budget what we want to buy as well.
Not bad, but can we get more information based on Specials and in store Prices. I hope it'll be made as an easy way to shop online, wanted to do some shopping for my parents during this Covid-19 National Lockdown. They would've been able to pick up or collect delivery. However i'm not a grumpy or complaining Customer. The service has always been the best with me, please improve this App, for Consumer benefit. We're a lazy generation and we expect service providers to live up to that. 🙏
Horrible. DONT install! Regardless of your settings and preferences, they will continue to push marketing notifications through the app to your phone. Unacceptable. Uninstalling this now. I already destroyed my physical card a while ago, so i guess i will just shop at other retailers now.
When the app updates, all login data disappears. This, combined with the fact that there is a problem with the password filter on the website, makes for an unusable app.
Since the upgrade a few days ago, I can't open the app. Every time I try it keeps telling me to download the new app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but it still does not open.. seems to be quite a few bugs in the latest version.
It is so bad that you can't even sign on lol. The terrible experience starts from sign on. The app doesn't pick up my registered profile and states password or email incorrect but my sign on works perfectly fine online.
Struggling It works for a day & when when I need to see my MRewards the App cannot find a connection=no way to see my balances???? Unistalled & re-installed, still cannot connect or rather it will not connect. My data & phone IS connected
Not sure who this app is for ? I downloaded the app because their website is a nightmare to navigate through. The app does not even show prices of the item, it only shows you what rewards you can earn when buying the products. Its completely useless.
I have reinstalled the app several times and can't log on. The app made me change passwords sevtimes without success. This is challenging for me, I am just loosing out on benefits.
Horrible! The website and app don't work at all, I tried making use of the Website. after finding out that it won't even bother loading, Decided to download the app just 2min ago and it won't even let me register even after adhering to the password conditions.🙇🙇 Don't waste your time on this app
The app is just a waste of data, I have been installing it on my phone it doesn't work, went to the store for assistance and was told it's my phone. Tried on other phones it still doesn't open, always updating 😠
Makro online service is very poor. I have placed and paid my order. After 8 working days i still have not received my order, or any proper feedback for that matter ! I have to call the customer care numerous times at my expense. Even after doing so, no one provides me with proper ferdback. If they do commit they fail to follow it through . Very poor service !
Registered ok. Tried to use it in Makro today. Keeps saying "We could not log you in. You are currently offline". No, I'm not. I only wanted to use it to replace the card anyway and if I've got to log in every time, it's easier to use the card. Pointless.
The App hangs for ages. Most of the time forces you to log in again and then takes 1 minute to complete a basic login. Very inefficient and slow.
Worst reward program without doubt. The reward rate is less than a percent. In most cases you have to buy more than one of an item in order to get the payback, and often the total cost works out to be equal or more than other stores. So why bother with it. And You can only redeem the points in store, not online. Takealot is superior in every way, service, delivery and pricing.
