I've been using Decked Builder for about 4 years now and just recently started using this app. ManaBox is perfect for decks you already own and are trying to get detailed information for optimization. Perfect app for analyzing decks. With that said, this app is not conducive for BUILDING decks. With an improved search function I'd do a full switchover. The UI is not easily grasped with many options, menus, and settings. For now I use two apps for mtg, but would love for ManaBox to be optimized.
This is a great app, I just have two gripes: 1. I find it frustrating that the test-deck feature is locked behind a subscription pay wall. I would be much happier if I could just draw hands for free and then the rest of the functionality is paid for. 2. When you export a deck to a text file, the set code is in parentheses whereas all of the tools I've used that allow you to paste in a deck list need them to be in square brackets. Would give 3.5 stars if I could
This app has been fantastic, and has an efficient, user friendly interface. You can build as many decks as you want in this thing, and the different ways to search and view cards makes it easier to sort through different options.
Best app ever! Except for one thing: I want to be able to scan cards into my database like you can on Dragon Shield's MTG Manager or MTG familiar. Save for its lacking this one feature, ManaBox is superior to its competitors in almost every way.
The best app I've used on Android. The ads are small and non invasive on the screen and the app is simple to build a deck with and play test on the app. They even have a lost section so you can remember what you need to order or trade for.
App looks and feels amazing. Search functionality is wonderful. The dev team is also very responsive to improvements and bug fixes! I only wish there was a scanning feature. I end up scanning cards in a separate app and exporting/importing into this one.
I think the app is amazing, definitely one of the best. However, I believe there should be a function to add an entire deck. For example I buy the upgrades unleashed deck, there should be an option that you can add all cards within that deck to your library, just buy selecting the deck and adding to library, rather than selecting wach individual card to add.
Decent for cataloging large collections, but it REALLY needs select all/deselect all buttons when viewing lists. Also, an option for list view rather than thumbnail view would be nice. *edited review wording for clarity. Also added a star for VERY quick and helpful responses from dev.
One of the best MTG collection apps I have used. My only critique is it would really great to be able to add cards by camera. Also it would be nice to be able to access and edit collections on a computer.
Fantastic. All I would like to see is the ability to merge decks into the binders. I created my decks on the app before the binder option was available. And vise versa. Other than that my favorite app.
Really, really great app. It's easy to use and I've had no problems with the interface or finding cards I'm after etc. Easily the best on the PlayStore. My only suggestion would be to have a bit better explanation of how search works for stupid people like me who can't figure it out. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that the app does not have a card ID scanner which many other apps do. Makes add lots of cards much easier!
This has been my overall favorite MTG app. It's been very difficult to find one that had every feature I wanted and Manabox served everything I wanted and a sleek interface to boot. Now the reason I am leaving 3 stars is due to the fact that recently I have been unable to create any new lists at all. Under the "collection" tab for a while it seemed that I could make as many lists as I wanted, now even if I delete them I can't create any new ones at all. It's very frustrating.
Love this app, great UI, it's fast and easy to build a deck and check ruling... Only thing that I feel could be improved is being able to toggle on/off the 'special treatment' cards (extented art / special frames / alternate art) like you can already do for tokens and promos, or just a filter to be able to view only the regular frame cards in a set. Thank you for your hard work!
Really like the app, are there any plans to add a card scanning feature ? Trying to enter existing decks and use the collection feature is tedious having to use text search for each card and then select the set and version of the card.
Amazing! This app makes deck building incredibly easy. It is also very good for exporting your lists through other outlets.
The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is that there isn't an option to make a custom format. Besides that, I use this app for all my magic blueprints and I love it
Great app for building decks. I use it for my EDH decks. Very easy to use. Shows mana curve, mana production, mana cost, you can test your deck, and you can even share your deck with friends. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic that it works even offline. The only awkward feature is the playtester, but frankly for me and my friend group it's a non-issue.
It's very frustrating that I can't easily move large amounts of cards from Lists to Decks. The lack of a Card Scan feature only exacerbates the issue. I would like to see an option that allows you to export a list in a deck format (such as Commander)
It's not bad. Wish I could figure out how to add basic lands I to the deck builder. Also making a data base of all your cards....cant figure out how to do that either. Still messing with it. I'll update if I can figure it out.
Super useful absolutely love the features it has but have noticed that it lacks in card sets like secret lairs when I tried adding stranger things secret lair cards for a deck build
Great App for deck building. I've used this app so much, it stays up to date when new sets come out and is overall just fantastic. If you want to make some deck lists or just want to have acess to an easy to use card database I recomend ManaBox.
This app is super useful. It definitely could use a few more features. ***You should be able to tag cards in your deck as, mana, ramp, draw, wipe, removal, finisher, etc. and have the totals show up in the stats page. *** thanks for the reply! Missed it! It also would be incredible to test your decks against eachother instead of just goldfishing; swiping back and forth between multiple boards. That being said, it's super intuitive and always up to date. Great import and export features.
