Mandrake Boys

I've been playing this game for years and I can tell you now, it's extremely repetitive and practically easy to forget because of how boring it can get. The only reason I reinstalled it was for nostalgia at this point. This new update ruined the entire app for me. I can't craft different potions, I can barely plant new mandrakes without a server error, and I can just barely receive gifts from friends! Along with those, the layouts of textboxes are very wonky with broken or incomplete words.

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT- THE NEW UPDATE IS SO NICE!! Ive been playing for about four years now, and the new interface and even the speed boost in the daily treasures are so wonderful and clean. It feels way more efficient and professional. Even when I saw the logo change, my jaw dropped. :) Beautiful update!

The new update RUINED the game. I cannot collect the mandrakes anymore even when I click on them individually. Everything on the screen got smaller too. I love this game but now it is basically unplayable. If I cannot collect the mandrakes for coins then I cannot play the other content. Very disappointing.

Very chill, very lovely collection game. Since the update it is easier to get go coins to collect more illustrations and stories. I appreciate seeing the wide variety of characters and collecting them (more older men characters please!)

HELP !! I CAN'T OPEN THE GAME SINCE THE UPDATE 😭😭 I have been playing for 5 years I can't believe this is happening !! I tried reinstalling the game but the only time it "worked" it told me network error over and over again 😭😭

Got a new update. On videos: Every two hours, 115-500 coins (this is new). However, it is the video when it comes to collecting stars. It could be that we could get 1 star every 20 minutes by watching video; now, it is 1 star every hour. I do not like this as outside of purchasing stars, this was the easist way of getting stars, besides expeditions, to get new mandrake seeds as the only other abundance of stars come from daily-check-in, but only after like a whole month (and you only get 50).

Unable to save photos when i was always able to. I have the permissions set up for saving photos but it won't work. It keeps telling me to get the permissions set up for it but like i said its already enabled. Please fix.

Great bishounen collector app with Shounen Ai overtones. Lots of fun short stories to read and pretty illustrations to collect with minimum effort, though some patience is helpful. No money needs to be spent on this app, but you'll be tempted if you just cant wait for new seeds to plant. The english translation is often a little wonky, but not a deal breaker. For future stories and mandrakes, i'd love to see a merman story and more of Teri and Celt!

Won't let me buy cans eventhough I have enough stars to buy it. Keeps saying ( synchronized with the server to correct data mismatch. Please try again.) What does that mean?!

Can't load game. Says to update but it won't update. Haven't been able to play in several days and have probably lost most of my friends because of it. Extremely disappointed.

The game is still awesome, but therebare several bugs and server connection issues since the last update.

It's been doing well so far. Had been using this before the new look. Still some works, but you enjoy reading some stories or planting to get characters, give this a try

this is an extremely okay game. it's not awful but it's not great, either. i suppose if you paid for it, it would be much better. but if you're FTP then it's pretty much bust because everything costs a ton of stars / coins and accumulating them is difficult and slow unless you're willing to pay for it. the translation could use a bit of polishing but 🤷‍♂️

Pretty good game, but I have some trouble when buying item from the store yesterday. I already paid for it yet I didn't get any stars...? I've bought the stars before and it shouldn't take that long

Overall I like the game. Two main issues. The first being that super annoying message about the game crashing or needing to close. Especially since I close the app and it shouldn't be open? I get the error a few times a day. My second issue is I have a few sets that I've been missing only one mandrake from and I've been trying for over a month now. I've only been checking 1-3 times a day, so I could check more frequently, but the rates can be pathetic.

I love this game been playing it for almost a year now, but it's really getting ridiculous how many times I've had to uninstall and reinstall the game due to bugs. I've never had to do this with any other game. Many times I get endless loading just trying to get into the game, other times it's endless loading of the friend list and other in game pop ups, other times all the hours will display as minutes on my planted mandrakes. Reinstalling always fixes these problems for a while at least, but it is so tedious to do so, I've given up on decorating my garden because that will reset everytime I need to uninstall.

This is an adorable and addicting game. I've been playing for a bit, and I've fallen in love! :D The art/characters are gorgeous, and the sprites are so cute. I do have a few things to mention, however. It is incredibly difficult to obtain stars, and everything in the game requires so much of it. Ads only give one star, so it does little to nothing to help out. The Mysterious Liquid is also hard to get, and the only way to acquire it is through the Treasure Hunt, where characters don't even cross the treasure chest blocks most of the time! It's rather frustrating. Lastly, the translations are a little rough, and may need a bit of updating, but it's not a big bother at all. ^^ But overall, it's a wonderful game! I'm looking forward to future events and characters. :D

(Edit: Ever since I turned off push notifications in the game's menu, I've not had this problem again, so I moved my rating back up to a 5 star.) I've been playing this game for over a year now and I've really been enjoying it. However, for at least a month now I've been getting pop ups saying "mandrake boys app has stopped working" even when the game is closed and it's really annoying and interrupting my using other apps.

I personally love the game. The star rewards do take a bit of time, but if you plan everything correctly and do quizes and stuff you can usually get around 170 for thing like downloading a game. so if you do enough of them it does all add up. I do however wish that there was a way to connect with your friends more though. Even if its just looking to see what illustrations or mandrake they have, or even gifting them more than just watercan. Maybe talking to them? That's all. 5/5

I've been playing this game for a while, and I really enjoy it. Its relaxing and it's fun to collect the different mandrakes, I just wish it was a little easier to get stars. It goes very slow collecting the coins to be able to go on the missions to get the stars, and then to buy new planters or mandrake seeds costs a ton of the stars that are already difficult to get. If they can make it easier to obtain stars where you don't have to watch too many ads or pay money, then this would be better.

I really enjoy this game! It's a fun game to mess with whenever I get bored, then leave alone till I feel up to messing with it again. But I do have a problem, my game wont load the town. I don't remember when it started but at some point it just stopped being able to load. Overall it's a good game, my only problem isn't very major and can be overlooked and forgotten about easily, I totally recommend it!

It's a cute game. I love the artwork. The little sprites are adorable. It is hard to earn stars without money. Maybe if the ads gave more stars than one, it would be perfect. But that is how most game apps are. Otherwise I have found this game to be ideal and good for long-term play. It is not fast-paced and it requires patience. It doesn't consume a lot of time and it is forgiving if I miss a day.

I wish I could choose which notifications to enable. I want to know when my expeditions finish and when there's a bonus expedition. But I don't need 10+ notifications telling me I was sent a Watering Can... Other than that, this game has amazing graphics/artwork, lovely characters, and enjoyable stories. Updates w/new content very often. Fair gameplay too! Even free players can get Special Edition Mandrakes! I've willingly spent so much on this game regardless~

Overall this is a pretty nice game, the translations are a little rough around the edges and the stories are pretty short and basic. thats pretty understandable considering the insane amount of characters and individual stories there are and how FAST they add new ones. The arts great, theres lots of cute characters and its an easy game to just check up on once in a while. However considering how expensive seeds are i wish there was a better way to earn stars than watching an ad every 20 minutes and getting 1 star. Its not really worth it considering seeds are in the hundreds for price, 1 star at a time doesnt really cut it. Otherwise a nice addition to the mandrake series, i like it a bunch.

I really like this game and enjoy playing it a lot. The gameplay is fun, the stories are interesting and the graphics are so cute and adorable. Just that it's really hard to scroll up and down when viewing your mandrakes, stories and illustrations. Please fix it and try to make it smoother to scroll. I tried this game on other phones as well and they all had the same issue. Other than that, how about limiting the number of times people can watch the ad to 3-5 times per day and giving them 3-5 stars every time they watch one ad instead of just giving them a star everytime? It's just a suggestion. Also, please add more emotes like a sleepy, a sick or a confused emote for people to be able to express themselves more, they're so cute!

Such a relaxing game! The only problem is that it is so stingy on coins and stars that it can be infuriating at most times. I love how each illustration was drawn by different people from the art community. I’ve been playing this while my main game is loading and I’ve never been kicked out or anything. Sooner or later, I got like a hundred coins in just a few minutes. The graphics and controls are good. Almost all can be found on the help tab. All in all, it’s a relaxing, break game!!!
