Manga Renta

I absolutely love this app, it's easy to use & loads quickly, plus the ability to download my favorite books is fantastic. I think the only thing I'd change is having the option to download all chapters of a book at once rather than one at a time. I did notice as of Sept. 19th, that the option to buy chapters with money instead of with points had vanished from the cart. I can still buy points to spend on them, & the option is still there on the website, but it is a little inconvenient.

The interface is simple and a bit clunky, but it works with no problems. As for the content, great scans and translations. The prices are reasonable. The thing I love about this website is some of the money actually goes to the artists/writers! In return, readers occasionally get exclusive art or pages from them!

Renta's app could have great potential in the BL ebook market if they're willing to improve/change their app. Currently the app's UI design is outdated and chunky compare to other manga/comic reading apps in the market. I believe it would really bring more consumers if the app is more modern design and the transition is faster and smoother to the eyes. Plus the pink menu is confusing , e.g. when signed in, there's no Sign Out button only Sign in. The only part is well design is reading, I like the option of flipping page and scrolling down the page. I hope Renta read this as I really look forward to the improvement of this app. But right now , I mainly using other companies' manga/comic app.

Don't even bother wasting the space on your phone. They put as much money into this app as they did on their website, which is nothing. Spent 40 mins trying purchase tokens on the app without any success (had the same experience on their website, all three times I've attempted it!), it's just not worth the time and frustration.

I love it. Able to read manga you can't find anywhere else. Just wish they would just lower the points prices at least. Would make it easier to purchase with no problem. Buying the books with the points lowered to 💯 for each book would be better than 500 points for each one. 500 points to any higher amount is too much for me. 100 is better.

I just downloaded the app. The layout is cheesy looking. Like a website made in the early 2000's or Facebook/Gmail when it doesn't load properly. Plus, to login you have to go outside to the browser. It'd be more user friendly to have the app programmed to login inside the app without leaving. I gave a two because at least the app does have a vast selection.

The overall graphically set of the app is well horrid and when I move to a tab it wants half of my email info and it just doesn't have the same quality as the other comic apps so I just won't use it. Also they want to make me use cookies in an app??? This is just funny if I do say so myself.

Love this and have used it for years to read manga(mostly bl) I've never really had a problem with it besides the mount of points you can get(100pts=$1, 500pts=$5, 1000pts=$10) I wish there was more variety and that you could still pay for the book with actual money instead of only points

the app is great to be able to support the authors of these works but the app is also extremely lacking. First finding dates for releases is extremely out of the way and not easy to find. it also doesnt provide the release dates of the translated works to give consumers an idea of when future chapters will be uploaded. the app is also very clunky in how it loads and needs quite a bit of quality of life additions imo

Manga apps which sell girl's manga are very rare! Renta is paradise on earth for those! good translations, lots of titles, fair previews, easy to browse, pretty easy yo pay. there's a lot to discover. the artists are suitably rewarded for their work. BUT! prices are way too high for a rented chapter. i would buy a lot more chapters with a fair pricing. the look and handling is buggy, not well enough designed.

I will no longer be using this app. All of my favorite books that I had saved to my read list, my read history, and even liked & subscribed storts has veen completely wipped. Even one of the recent storys which only had like 5 episodes so far . Idk if they just got rid of all the books or what, but they have all disapeared off my list. No longer intrested in this app now. 😒

I love the options on this app and I love that the authors actually get money from the purchases I make. Unfortunately, the app isn't letting me get the most recent update without uninstalling and reinstalling the app. My problem with this is that it deletes the books that I've downloaded to my device, so I'll have to redownload all those titles to my bookshelves again, which my device doesn't have space for.

I like the app and the chapters are super cheap. The only thing I would consider to you is have the option to read the books from left to right and there should be an option to purchase the whole book instead of just by chapter

I actually love the idea of having more Manga and supporting the artist but the pricing model is pretty poor. Why would you pay the same amount of money for a chapter when you can go and purchase a full book and read it over and over again. Sorry but I refuse to be price gouged. The model needs to be tiered with the value that you're getting and I'm just not seeing the value yet. So back to Kindle and sublime I go for now. At least there for the same price I can read it as much as I want to.

The app is pretty good but my only complaint is the payment system isn't great. The credit card form is split into boxes so I can't use Google payments to put my cc info straight into the box. If they fixed that it would 5 stars

i love the art. i love the comics but it's so expensive that it literally costs less to buy an actual book than it does to pay for a digital copy. :/ like I'm fine with paying for my comics but i think it should be reasonable.

UPDATE: App is way smoother & the staff awards are great touch for suggestions. Ex. I don't really like to read shoujo but some have convinced me to try. Side note: It's not a big deal but using emojis in comments would be really nice. Sooo! This app is very clunky when it comes to its user interface however, it works. One major problem I run into is buying points. I have to try 3 to 4 times, and refresh or start over again (using paypal).

Can't read or preview any manga as the pages never load, purchasing is a joke, credit card purchases result in a system error yet buying via prepurchasing points works. There are better sites with better apps for this. Uninstalled and closing my account with Renta. Thoroughly unimpressed.

It was ok, until after a year or two i had finally found a manga that i was interested in after previous book ive bought but when i bought the last 4 chapters of it im not able to read them their still in my cart even though the renta app took my money like that does make sense to me as this didnt happen before.

This app does not let you sighn in ,and unlike other manga apps it doesn't display manga it makes you search for it. I got one am really disapointed. Adverts have exaggerated just how good this app is. I wish I cold give this 0 stars but unfortunately I can't. I hope theakers try to improve this app and make it as good as their adverts suggest.

I wish I was able to pay with some thing other then credit card or PayPal but I can't so I can only read the sample part of books. If I was able to pay with Google play then I would give a higher rating but until then I give it two stars.

would be alright if there was an option to become a premium member and get access to every manga (or most of them atleast) for something like $10 a month. i like supporting artists but i don't think i would ever buy any manga unless there was a membership option implemented.

The app works pretty well, so far. Has a great amount of titles available. I like that they let you preview some of the books before you buy them. The prices are nice, affordable. Idk why people are leaving 1 star reviews JUST because they have to pay for manga, like somehow the creators don't need to eat too.

Saw an add took a screenshot and now it says not found. Someone help! Description: mugi's cat keeps escaping her apartment to go next door, but her neighbor tatsuji is so scary. But he actually works at a cat cafe and is super nice!

I love this app because it has a great selection but the reason i gave it only 2 stars was because I cannot buy anything. It hasnt even let me put in my card information befor it said error not available or to check my card. If this is fixed I will give it 5 stars but until then I give it 2 stars.

App looks terrible but aside from that,, the actual website just took 8 dollars from me and didn't even give me the chapters that I paid for. What a rip off, I do not recommend!
