Bhagalpur police come forward with a new concept of community policing first time in Bihar while focusing youths.

Bhagalpur police is ready to help youths by a special free coaching enter for them to make the concept of community policing success in city lives.

senior superintendent of police (SSP), Bhagalpur, Mr. Monaj Kumar (IPS), said that the proposed coaching centre would not only help the students to achieve their goals but also give a positive message of community policing in the society. “We would have the opportunity to interact as well penetrate inside the society through it. It also would help for initiating better policing in all ways,” he claimed.

The concept of Monaj Kumar once revived in the city which once witnessed the worst communal riots in 1989 mainly failing of community services by police in the district. Soon after the riots, people in this riot-ravaged city had started night watch systems as community basis and youths at each localities formed a group consists of each one of a family residing in any particular locality to watch their respected areas in night as days.
