MantisX

MantisX is a revolutionary training system that helps you improve your shooting precision.
Use of the app requires a MantisX Sensor which can be bought here: http://www.mantisx.com . It attaches to any picatinny rail (or rail adapter if your firearm doesn't have a built-in rail). The internal electronics of the MantisX Sensor collect movement data before, during, and after your shot. The app analyzes the data and diagnoses your shooting mechanics, provides real-time coaching, and determines what you need to focus on to improve most quickly.

MantisX is a powerful tool that will make your training more efficient and effective.

I've only been playing with it for half an hour. I was practicing the "draw with primary hand" drill and the app stops in the middle of the drill. The GUI needs to be modified to "continue the drill" no matter what the reason is the app choked. Instead you're forced to restart the entire drill at the beginning. Then it stops after several draws even though it isn't supposed to stop until 10 draws were done. Really frustrating to pay a lot of money for Mantis 3x, and then this happens.

So there is a weird bug where if you have the mantis connected you can't switch to live fire from dry. You have to disconnect then skip connection and the connect. I feel like you should be able to go straight from dry to live without having to make the setting change without the unit connected.

Great training tool, I've gotten a lot of help from it. The draw analysis has helped me shave 0.75 sec off my draw to first shot. The app was working flawlessly and then they did an update, now its a little buggy.

Can't say enough! I credit this device with most of my skill gains over the past two years! If you are wondering why you're not getting better...this is the tool to get!

I purchased the Mantis X system about a year ago and since then the support and application have only gotten better. I really enjoy the dry fire drills which is the main reason I purchased it. Additionally, the built-in shot timer saves me from having to use a separate one. If you seriously care about improvement and you have already invested the money in classes and formal training, this is an awesome way to keep getting value without needing to interact with a trainer.

Great Trigger Control Guide The major thing I don't like is that it seems to skip registering every shot. Sometimes it seems like it is every other shot gets skipped. I have read instructions for diagnosis, and I don't think that exiting the app and turning the sensor on and off several times is the correct answer for the price I paid for it.

I've had an X10 Elite for a few weeks now and have only used pistol so far. App seems to work well for it's intended purpose. I'm a LEO and can attest that after two department range training days I have definitely improved. I'd like to see the history a little more compressed so more sessions fit on the screen if I screenshot to share with someone that doesn't have the app/device. The photo selection UI for profiles is terrible; needs improvement.

This has improved my shooting experience. Since the "Vided" I have not gone to the range , they have too many restrictions, but the MantisX is a godsend. I have been able to do dry fire and rhen get instant feedback on my skills. I did a upgrade and got the MantisX 3 and was rebates $100.00 , it was great deal. The program is intuitive and help you going from good to great. I suggest you do the drills and look at the MantisX YouTube videos to get a good shooting workout.

Just got my mantis X10 elite today and just testing. I like the diagnostic so far and the graphs of your hand movement with the video clips of what you might be doing wrong. Only complaint is the introductory course doesn't advance even though you do the stages several times. Not sure if there's a score threshold to advance or what. Kinda dissapointed about that. The UI is kinda janky, dialogue screens overlapping in particular. Will increase rating if the devs resolve those issues.

Had issue where half my dry fires were not detected but a quarter of my racking detected as a shot. Setting sensitivity to high in advanced settings resolved the issue and is working perfectly now. gone through 600 dry fire shots already and have drastically improved. this will save a ton on ammo. I would highly recommend this to any and everyone. Looking forward to going to the range later and do some live fire with it and how badly I fail the FBI qualification course in it.

Keeps getting better. I got the X10 and within a few months, it has more than paid off in time and money saved from ammo needed to train at the range. It has improved my technique and the results show in the scores. I like that more training courses have been added and hope that continues to challenge the users.

The Mantis is one relentless critic. However, it is worth the time and investment if your goal is to become a better shooter. The more time I put in the more I want to use the Mantis. It never gets boring. The only addition I would ask is to add standard shooting drills, like the 5x5 (etc.) and print offs for each drill.

This product gas really increased my accuracy immensely. I had to switch to only using dry fire techniques due to it becoming too expensive for me. I was able to consistently hit the target on my phone that they give you with a high 90 score. After the last 8 phones that I've had to replace due to direct hits, I've had to switch to just doing dry fire round. I hope that help someone. Thanks again for the great product very helpful.

The feedback, training exercises and ability to use live or dry fire is second to none. Well worth the investment for the sensor. You're able to fine tune the mechanics of your shot and see instant feedback on your progress. Invaluable training tool for beginners and seasoned shooters.

recently, unable to complete exercises or trainings. pressing stop causes the app to close completely. it was working perfectly for years. will update the score once it's fixed!

Super impressed with this app paired with the Mantis X3. Excellent quality hardware and software, and great usability. I have only 1 gripe - sometimes when I launch the app, it doesn't show the "CONNECT" button so I have to forcefully kill it and restart it in order to establish the connection. Still worth 5 stars in my opinion.

Best training aid period. I have been shooting for 43 years, army and civilian, competition, conceal carry. Serious benefits all around thank you

Use the X10 daily for dry fire drills and once a week for live fire. The difference in my scores at the range is remarkable. Love the drill challenges. Was a little frustrated at first with dry firing the SA needing to be racked to reset the trigger and that registered a false shot. Found the setting to adjust the minimum score registered, now it ignores the false shots. Top quality, does everything I need it to. Very happy. Super fast email service too, thanks Aaron!

The best training tool. PERIOD. No in app ads

There are a few bugs that are easily worked around but if you want to become a better shooter this is priceless. It's great for dry firing, and live, and you'll save a ton of money on ammo dry firing and become a much better shooter with out leaving home.

Unusable on Android Samsung S10. This won't detect the Bluetooth module on the Android app. Works fine on iOS so i know the module is fine. Edit: I had my GPS turned off and somehow this made the app unable to connect to the module. This makes no sense to me. Only when the app knows where I am will it connect. Very strange.
