Nice app overall. Many improvements and surely more are coming. Simple and straightforward. I wish they would add an auto deposit option for receiving e-transfers though.
Slow and unnecessary app refresh makes something as simple as sending an interac transfer complicated! If you switch to another app for a second (to confirm a payment information) when you come back, progress is lost and need to restart! Interac money requests are also not supported (so I need to transfer money to tangerine to accept, there, money requests). Lastly, the feature to link an external account had an obvious big with the upload a void cheque field, that makes it useless !
Shuts down pretty consistently. Usually when trying to make a deposit or pay a bill. Seems to be an issue with the app itself as when I am experiencing these problems my wife and others are as well. Great banking options with a very poor app.
Used to work well before introducing Manulife ID. Now I can never log into the app. Says looks like you are using a wrong ID or it doesn't accept the password. It's not clear anywhere if the app password is the same as the website interface password. The one time I was able to login I tried to deposit a cheque and it crashed.
Potential there. A little bit of clean up and working out kinks will help. I see in previous comments that auto-deposit for incoming e-transfers is coming, but It doesn't seem to be happening yet.
Works well for e-transfers and bill payment but I still have not been able to link an external account after multiple tries.
I deal with 4 banking apps, the only one with constant issues is manulife. They need alot of help in their technical dpt or get rid of the app until they are on par with their competition.
I agree with all the other comments. I can never log in on the first attempt. Not nearly as good as the bank apps
Compared to other banking apps I have used it is in the bottom half. Look and feel is ok, but it does not handle timeout while you switch to another app correctly. I just get an unhelpful error instead of being asked to login agains. Speaking of login, the login page does not work with a password manager (Bitwarden in my case). The password is placed in the Access Number field, leading me to believe the developers did not label the fields correctly. They definitely didn't test the feature.
The app is easy to use (way better than the old one) but not as good as TD banking app. Please include a 'remember me' security question and answer so I don't have to type it in every time I send a transfer to the same person. Also stop charging me a $1 for every time that I do an e-transfer. TD does not. Lastly take away the built-in 30-minute timer for an e-transfer. No other bank is doing that now and it seems ridiculous in this day and age that you cannot send my money immediately.
Love the app overall. Always works as needed. Will it be available to use with Google Pay/Wallet anytime soon?
I hate how this app does not support e-transfer auto deposit. Further update: A friend of mine opened an account with Manulife bank very ill advisedly. This bank is the worst thing that ever happened to the world. he provided every single piece of ID WITH BILLS AND CRA login proof but 2weeks now no acct confirmed and he has his funds sent there and no access. This bank is a sham, all they ever did was give ppl a hard time and literally leave ppl in tears. Do not bank with them whatever u do!
This is the worst experience with online banking I have had in my life. Changing to the Manulife ID has been nothing but headaches. Fix your login system or go back to the old way!!
I have had problems ever since last update. Can not deposit a cheque no matter how many times I have installed and uninstalled, booted and rebooted! Has become almost useless to me, except for checking balance! I have been back and forth with customer service and still It does not work!
This app used to work fine for us, now everytime we try and send an etransfer the recipient list is blank. I have to press the little person icon (which is blank) and hope its the correct person and when I discover it's not go back through the process again. Its brutal! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't work. It's been like this for a while now and we pay a lot of things this way. So...1 star is being generous. *NOTE* I appreciate the response and that will definitely work!!
It won't let me sign in almost all the time! It'll give me some error and therefore am unable to do any banking unless I access it online. What's the point of the app then? Please fix ASAP, because I like the convenience of having the app. Ps. It also seems to take forever to send e-transfers. I tried sending once and still hours later (4+ hrs), no email or anything yet!
Only once since this new Manulife ID have I been able to accept an EtMT in the app. The only way to accept EMT now is thru bank website. Which defeats the purpose of a PHONE APP!!! EXTRA SECURITY code is great, and then it sends an email saying it sent a code, but if it wasn't you to contact Manulife "right now". 40 mins. on hold and it disconnects. 2nd try and still "maintaining priority sequence". Edit: look at how I started the review. Then look at ur response. Hmm... slow down & re-try?
It has worked just fine for years, until... The latest update. Password and client number apparently are mutually exclusive 🙄. I have now deleted it. Annoying! AUGUST 2020, I've updated back to 4 stars after reinstalling the app it seems to be working now. February 2021 - new phone, app won't work. Same problem as in 2018...What gives, guys? Back to one star...
Mostly a good app but it would be very helpful to see the details of a transaction. Update: worst mobile app, it makes you login every time you switch to a different app even if it is for 5 seconds and then you lose everything you did. If you're in the middle of sending an e-transfer and you switch to a different app to check some info it makes you log in once again once you switch back and you lose everything you did. I hate the new updated app.
Edit after comment...Yup, still a fail, I have the latest version downloaded. This all happened AFTER I updated to the latest version. Been on hold for 44 minutes with "customer service" Doesn't work after update. Makes you jump through all the security to give you an error message. Big fail...
App is very basic, but has everything you need to pay bills, check credit card tabs, etc. I really like the graph that shows debt reduction & that it uses bio scan as a possible login. Calling in for support is always fast too; I've never longer than 5 minutes for service.
This is a pretty simple and straightforward app. Clean layout, and does exactly what you expect. The only thing that confuses me is that the logo in the top corner of the window kind of looks like a menu button, but tapping it doesn't do anything.
Clean layout and simple to use. Very modern and I was able to send an etransfer with ease right from my phone. It does the basics of what I need but I hope they continue to develop the app.
Okay app...when it works...only able to log in intermittently and usually can't when I need it. Phone software is up to date, tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Some functions are only available in the old app (strange software design for sure). Logged my concern over a month ago and the only suggestion has been get a new phone.
