What is Manything?Manything converts your spare smartphone or tablet into a sophisticated home security camera in seconds. With live streaming, motion detection alerts and cloud recording it’s the easy way to monitor your home and pets when you’re away.
Setting up your camera:Download Manything to the device you want to use as your home security camera, connect it to Wi-Fi, and select “Camera” mode and press record.
You can set your camera to only record and alert you when motion is detected, or to record and stream continuously.
Watching your Manything camerasDownload Manything to the device you take with you and select “Viewer”. You can watch your live streams, review motion alerts and remotely control your Manything cameras from anywhere. You can also watch your live streams from the Manything website.
Viewer mode: runs on any Android verison and lets you view live and recorded video from your Android and iOS cameras
Saving and sharing with ManythingYou can share your motion events straight from the app, or save and download important evidence to your device’s camera roll. You can also make and save clips online at the Manything website.
Use Manything for freeThe free plan includes one recording device, live streaming and motion detection alerts. Optional subscription plans are available if you need to add more cameras or cloud recording.

The app says remote device must be ready at the record screen and connected to the internet. I've checked the settings and the remote device is currently connected to the wifi network and has internet access. It seems like either a bug in the app or a server misconfiguration. Uninstalling and will find an app that has reviews of 4.0 or better
I started both mobiles and started one as camera. And the other as viewer. The viewer got error message no camera is installed. The other mobile showed a picture. newstart viewer mobile. the other got recognised. but I couldn't figure out more as a dia show. no chance to geta video running. a lot of things happened. i don't know what and uninstalled it.
This is a horrible app they have been charging my credit for almost a year now 10.69 and I hate written numerous emails to the support team they had already told me I didnt have an active account but yet have continued to charge my account can any anyone help on how to get reimbursed for this app I'm about to have to cancel my whole credit card it doesn't even show up on my Google play store subscription
Very disappointed. I used Manything for 3 years with no issues until this week. My camera completely stopped working, and customer service will not respond. I'm assuming this company went under. Don't waste your time and try one of their competitors instead.
Worked most of the time. However, when I paid for two cameras, the second camera kept going offline. I was charged for two months though only one camera worked (mostly). But for the price it is a decent app.
The app serves it purpose however was unable to deactivate account, was told. I didn't one! Once I got a new phone I managed to try and download the app again and there it was... "your subscription" it was under the install button.. Only taken 2 years!!! 🙄
Amazingly intuitive app. Works like a charm. My camera is an iPhone and viewer is an Android. Setup was a breeze both ends. Also allows blackout zones! Neat stuff!
Constantly goes offline, so it's absolutely useless. And good luck canceling if you subscribe. I've so far remained unsuccessful, despite repeated attempts.
5/15/2020: ** Update If you can get this app (and plan) to work, it works pretty well. BUT, getting the app to allow "Upgrading" to a plan is disastrous!! Your App screen to "Upgrade" to a paid plan is Very POORLY designed. It asks for a password, but doesn't accept my VALID Manything password and doesn't say what password it wants! IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO "UPGRADE" using the app, you need to explain what PASSWORD you are requesting!!
Started to get issues with the cloud and the app. Emailed customer service several times, messaged their facebook several times (messages seen and no response). Shocking customer service. Avoid!!
Using it as a security camera, it works fine and frankly better than I hoped... Just wish for Google Home integration without the need for IFTTT to stand in between
Dont pay for upgrade because it does not work. I paid two times for upgrade but got no upgrade. I asked for upgrade or pay back but no response at all. So this app is scam !
Good luck on canceling your subscription! You'll email 4 different places & still be charged2 months+ because when you try to cancel the website will kick you off
The latest update doesn't allow cloud access and customer support don't respond. Forced to get an older version from the internet to use my subscription!
I upgraded a day ago, I the app is not working. I have reached out to Manything numerous times and no one has responded to my inquiry. Totally disappointed. I am requesting a full refund. Do not waste your time. Total rip off!!!!!
Guess what, installed on an old tablet crashes everytime I tab on signup. It's kind of hilarious. The website doesn't have a registration, guess I'm done lol
Junk. Another scam to force upgrades, purchases, locks after seconds of use. Waste of time
This is total garbage asking for money trying to rip off whoever reading this try out Presence it will glitch a little but the app is totally free as much cameras as you want and yes its an great app
Paid only! This app used to have a free option that gave you minimal saved videos, but now you have to pay to even view what you've recorded. Live feed freezes and goes into standby mode all the time, the whole system just doesn't even work anymore. Not worth it, go with something else, this has just become a cash grab for a service that is now barely functional.
