I like the app. It's intuitive and gives helpful information. I wish it included roller blading and kick-scootering in the categories of exercises. I would also like quarterly summaries breaking down my accumulated stats over time. But overall I like it and will continue to use it.
I think that this is a good app. This review pertains to the WearOS version on the Galaxy Watch 4. I knocked off a star because it is next to impossible to pull down the pause screen from the top to pause the workout. The watch settings screen comes down instead. Devs should instead have it swipe from the left like most other apps on WearOS 3 Galaxy Watch 4.
I used this app all the time with my old galaxy watch and no issues. I have upgraded to the watch 4 but now I can pause my workouts. When I swipe down as instructed I keep getting the quick settings menu. Poorly designed feature, bring back the button pause option or swipe from the bottom
I added one star since my 3 stars a year ago. I renewed for an additional year in February of this year. The app has improved. However, what happened to the voice msg. where it used to say "Your Workout is Completed" ? I really liked the app that lets you know when you finish a workout and or start a workout.
Not as many features as I had become accustomed to with endomondo pro. Also strangely, it reports the audio lap time in mile increments (as in 1.6km) even though the units are set to km and the text lap times are correct. If basic functionality like this is deficient it causes me to lack confidence in paying for the Pro version.
Slow startup with adguard (ad blocking software) running. Thought was an issue with the app, but this is a new issue. Brilliant app but shouldnt rely on an Internet connection to load up. Should load up first and then show connectivity with server etc. Also why is it being flagged by adblock software - is there reporting to ad providers?
Used for several years. It's OK. Does the job. However, recent update 29 March 22 seems flaky. It's freezing on the save screen and opening very slowly.
Excellent companion app to MyFitnessPal. Great that there are short video clips for some of the exercises. Sometimes exercises are removed from the app when you go to put it in a new routine and you have actually used it before, but overall a great tool for those working out on their own.
This app is hilariously bad on the Galaxy Watch 4. There's no way to pause the workout with the physical buttons - this is the biggest complaint. You have to swipe down from the top which causes the quick settings to swipe down instead. Then if you are quick enough you can swipe them away and catch the pause button. Good luck trying it while running. I also see no way to adjust settings for targets or goals. I am thrilled that it is finally on the watch but it needs to go back in the oven.
First, I love this app and I'm a premium user. However, there are a few things that need added or fixed. We need more challenges and a variety of challenges, not just one running challenge for the whole year. I loved the monthly challenges, but they've kind of gone away over the last year or so. Another problem is that this app doesn't connect with some other apps like Google fit and others. It needs to connect to many apps, platforms, and devices.
It's the only free app I found that allows challenges with friends and that's what we were looking for. Kudos for that. However. . . Adding friends was so unintuitive that we thought it was never going to work and were on the verge of giving up thinking the app was broken. This feature has room for improvement.
I always was happy with the app. Now I found out the app won't start without data usage. I found out because I wanted to exercise in a remote area without internet access. I need to find another app that doesn't need data. Or did I miss some settings?
Since the last update, there is a bug that prevents saving every workout. You can't even discard the workout without getting stuck in a loop.
Since the most recent update the app does not update my challenge totals. The app shows the workout/distance. But the challenge has not updated totals in almost 2 weeks
Still 5* but one cripe is sometimes forget to pause or finish workout then get into the car and the app continues so have to delete the workout, any chance the app can realise I cannot walk at 30mph.
It does great, not the first time using Map My Fitness. I've used it for year's and have always enjoyed it. It's been a while since the last time but will always use this app for my fitness.
Does what I need it to do. I do wish there were more functionality to import & export workout plans and other data.
Tracked my run perfectly. Good voice pronunciation of the current stats. However, the 4 stars is because sometime the app misses some of my run, usually at the beginning. I assume it is the app, but I guess it could be the phone dropping position. After many years of using the app, it performs to a very high standard and accuracy. Very pleased with the app and its functionality.
