only use the app one time so far but I noticed that it does keep a running total on the screen for the minutes, distance and calories. I also like the fact that it shows you the route that you've travel. That's pretty cool. Update: 3/24/21- MapMyRide app works really well. Recommend to everyone. 3/25/22 - still using the app about 2 times a week and it is works great
Path mapping appears a little inaccurate but a wide variety of stats maintained and lots of options. Audio updates are nice too. I find the map details dont update while riding so sometimes I have to stop just to get the map to update. I have been using for a while and saving my stats and routes for comparison and the more I use the app the more I like it. Options to turn off the screen and save battery is great to.
I have been using Map My Ride for over a year now, mostly for cycling plus a few runs and walks. It is perfect. It works well on my Pixel 4a phone. While riding the app announces mile splits, maps the route accurately, and gives elevation statistics among others. I definitely recommend it and don't want to ride without it now. Also, you can save rides if you choose.
My bike's odometer stopped working, so I had no way to tell how far I was cycling until I thought to download an app. Map my Ride is giving me great information, far more than just distance and speed. I recommend. PS - I do wish the pause button was not the same color as the end ride button!
Great app! Free version shows a detailed map in contrast to Strava's free version. The bare statistics suffice for a cycling newbie like me. What's great also is its auto pause which Google Fit doesn't have. Only nitpick is it takes slightly longer to latch on to GPS.
Awesome app. If you use headphones, it quiets the music and tells you each mile how distance, time & average speed. Real cool. EDIT: Starting to discover more features & am enjoying it even more. 2 years later and still enjoying it.
I've been using this app regularly for at least 6 months now. It is (expletive) awesome. I love it. It has pushed me to go faster for longer. I've lost so much weight. At 50 years old it's hard to lose weight, really hard. This app helps big time. Try it you literally have everything to lose, in lbs i mean. Edit, now been using this for 3 years and is still awesome. I've lost 110lbs using this app while riding my bike daily. I also went to the gym as well but in disbelief that I did it. 🤘🤘🤘
Really good app! Has everything that most riders would want or need. My only suggestion would be that the clock pauses when I have stopped for an intersection or the like. That would give a more accurate timed ride
It works well for me but it used to have these challenges for bikes, now it is only running challenges. Also, it used to store monthly and yearly distances. I cannot find that anymore.
All I need, easy to use and very informative. No clutter, and yes.... you can share it with friends via. Messaging, email or facebook. I never hit PAUSE, but I simply ride, and see distance, and look at my router map. Very Nice App. I am pleased with things that simply WORK!
This is still my pick for live metrics and native support for Tickr all in one app. No problems with the app or service in quite a while; the devs/engineers seem to have addressed any major problems I've ever encountered. The only thing I could ask for now is a native dark mode feature.
I like the audio letting me know when I reach a certain distance, including the timing to get there. This allows me to speed up if I chose to improve times. It's easy to use.
Great app, does what it says. I like how it pauses when it knows when I've stopped cycling. I cycle everywhere and I go in & out of places running errands and I like how I don't have to stop and pause the app. Hardly see any ads or at least I don't notice them. I love that my rides are automatically uploaded to MyFitnessPal app too
For the following reasons this app is a solid 5. ( 1 ) timer on app matches to the second the timer on my current bike speedometer. ( 2 ) distance on the app matches exactly my current bike odometer. ( 3 ) the voice telling me each time I do a mile and the amount of time it took to do that mile is easy to hear .
My first time using. Easy captures bike activity. Like the pause option. So many exercise modes to select. Also tried the running mode. Love having my stats. Can't wait to compete in my next 5k.
Used to love this app but recently it freezes and won't go back. I had a workout that I couldn't save or discard, just kept flicking beyween screens.
5/24 app not working properly again. After riding and then stopping for an errand, with auto pause on, once I reach back home, the app will show the ride back home as a straight line! Also the new save workout screen takes several seconds to load, when it used to be almost instant. Fix it please! I have 12k miles tracked and don't wanna switch tracker apps!
