MapCo Motor Speedway Guide

The MotorCo Indianapolis Motor Speedway guide is a location based and GPS enabled guide to the Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400 and other races that take place there.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is home to both the world's largest and second-largest single-day sporting events.

No ads, no pop ups, registration or location sharing.

The guide has locations for tailgating, parking, the start and finish, the museum and some attractions around the event. The races host hundreds of thousands of people, so knowing where you are in relation to everything can help a lot given the confusion that that amount of people will create.

We put in the airport and downtown hotels, and a few Indianapolis attractions, but for the most part kept this free of a lot of additional things as we wanted to focus on the race and events going on at the park.

About the Motor Speedway:The track opened in 1909 and is the world's largest spectator facility. It is so large that you could fit the Roman Coliseum, Vatican City, Wimbledon Campus, Rose Bowl, Yankee Stadium and Churchill Downs inside the 2.5-mile oval. Since 1911, the Speedway has been the home of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing," the Indianapolis 500.

The Brickyard 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race has become one of NASCAR's most coveted races since the inaugural event in 1994. The Speedway also hosted the popular Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP race on its 2.621-mile road course, highlighted by the world's best motorcycle riders competing at more than 200 mph.
