MapGenie: RDR2

Has some great features, but the progress tracker I paid for is buggy. Shows items as found even though I haven't found them this cycle. Deleting all the tracker logs does not remove the status of found on these items. I have to clear the apps cache to get a clean start for the new cycle. Also can't select various individual items to display on the map,, only less me display one item at a te, or entire sets at a time. Wish it were more flexible and intuitive.

Worth a donation! It's convenient and you can sync with the browser version. I didn't 5* bc it's missing a few notable "items." For example, the app points to an item (a letter) that mentions something that CAN be found in-game, but the app doesn't show that. You'd only find it by exploring the game, on your own. If you want to find EVERYTHING, you have to just play...but this will help. The "Exotics" are also off. Nothing is perfect, but this is very close!

Had some issues with the browser based program, it would refresh randomly and I'd have to set up my category settings all over again. I didn't know the app was a thing until a few days ago and after downloading it and using it for about 5-6 hours, I instantly upgraded to pro. It is SUCH a help for a completionist like me. I want to make sure I explore every little nook and cranny and this app helps you do just that. I need this style of map for all of my open world games.

4 Stars. I'm not sure if your map is off, or one of the game updates changed the map, but I'm not having a lot of luck with the stuff on your map lately. For example, the rock carving just below the S under the map writing of "Racchus Station". Your map shows it's almost right by where you find the dinosaur bone, but it's almost right between the bone symbol (on the map) and the river, west of the top of the S.

Excellent resource for those going for 100% completion, I wouldn't even be attempting it without it. My only complaint is how the map goes blank for a bit when zooming in, it gets annoying quick. I'd gladly pay a few bucks for the pro version with my Google Rewards credit if it were available through the Play Store and not solely through the website version. Until then I'll just continue unmarking found items after I complete each set.

4.9 stars out of 5 for me. I like doing the side quests and collectibles and this makes it so much easier. The only reason I didn't give it 5/5 is because even though it allows you to filter what you want shown on the map there's no way to save your preferences. Forcing you to set them up every time you open the app. I still whole heartedly recommend it though.

Bought full version and its a great price as an alternative to the Official Strategy Guide and tells you where 99% of things are exactly. Some things like points of interest, there's no information, just a maker. But of you're searching for something, you can type it in the search bar as this uses a "Google Map" overlay of the in game map!!

The info is complete and the marker placement is accurate. This app is great for collectable hunters! My one and only complaint: the app doesn't remember your options, and resets to a default view of active collectables each time you open the app (the website behaves the same way).Otherwise, it's easy to use and a must-have if you're a completionist! Suggestion:Can the app remember what collectables I've selected? It will be great if these could synchronize with the web site(for premium users?)

Updated review. My original review was 4 stars and related to the story mode only. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of server issues but that is in not an issue now. This app is great! 95% of everything is available for free and its pretty interactive. You can make notes, search particular items. Very helpful for collectores. Update to 5 stars. I did buy the paid version to help support the creators. I do have a few suggestions I think could help polish a almost perfect map. TY

Edit: removed another star because of having to manually save progress. i understand it works off of a website but this has screwed me up numerous times. also constantly asks to rate app. Awesome app i love it, thanks. 5 stars if it saved the things I've filtered from the map. for example, I've done the stranger missions and don't care about the plants, several other items removed but every time i start the app it's fully populated again and i have to remove all the items idc about again.

It is a good map, you can find all the secrets there, and everything you need. But the only problem is that, when you move the map a bit slow and a bit fast, the map lags and sometimes it closes the app by itself when the screen froze or when it gets bugged. Please fix the sensitivity of moving the map because its low, lagging, and gets the screen to froze.

Found the browser version first, very well put together and easy to use. App version is behind but still very convenient. Greatly looking forward to the app being on par with the browser version as the payment method for pro seems dodgy there. Expanding tabs for extra info and being able to add your own markers for what is missing from the map is sorely needed. Keep up the good work please!

Very helpful and interactive map that is ideal for completionists, achievement hunters, or anyone looking to find something in particular. While most of the options are free, the pro version is well worth the money, and if you want to save a few bucks, buying pro on the website is cheaper and you get the app for free :D.

Great app, very helpful. Worth downloading if you're going for 100% and get stuck because you're missing a few items. I will say, I noticed some very small imperfections like roads missing from the in app map. But nothing you can't figure out by looking at the map in game.

Good experience and very helpful, it's a lot better than the companion app made by rockstars in that this one actually works, the only things that bothers is me is everytime you open the app everything is shown and i have to deactivate everything becuase it looks so messy, if there an easier option to sort only the things you want to see that would be great, but other than that this is a perfect tool for players.

Can you make it where I can search for my own notes? I want to use this for online daily challenges. I want to be able to add my own plants, animals, and other stuff. Then when the daily challenge comes back up, all I have to do is search for whatever I added. I would pay for this app & give it 5 stars for this. Also, I would like an option to save the map cache to prevent the map from loading. That would be fantastic for us who have plenty of storage. I look forward to hearing back from you!

VERY helpful and user intuitive! Kept up to date with the game and an extremely helpful tool/somewhat of a guide in info shown on icons. The ability to filter only what you want shown is a truly awesome feature, and has worked very smoothly even when zooming in/out and moving all over. I very much appreciate how the app permissions don't all but ask for a DNA sample and 1st born child, limited ads don't obstruct anything, and not being forced to create an acct. A sincere thank you to the dev(s).
