Maple Player JB

Love this app. Sounds like they ruined newer versions by screwing with the run-in-background capability. So I'm glad to say that I still use the older versions, which I just copy to any newer android phone that I might use as a replacement to an older phone. My recommendation is to look for an older version to use. I always disable auto-update on my phones to avoid problems like that. Seems that many devs just love to fix things that 'ain't broke!' (Just to make sure that it *is* 'broke'!)

I have loved my Maple Player for years. I purchased the app years ago and have enjoyed no real issues with it up until recently. It seems to be experiencing a few glitches these days with crashing if you want to create a playlist. I've tried to reinstall the app but it hasn't fixed the issue.

I was curious so read a few reviews. *Seeing a number of people are having a similar issue that I'm having of the app not playing in the background anymore. Also now it crashes when the screen timeout ends. I'm hoping the developers can do something about this issue. It was my go to audio app especially because of the speed control. *I didn't think about this when I originally posted. The app doesn't play in the background of my Galaxy Note 10. It plays fine on my much older Samsung tablet.

Excellent for podcasts! A few things do bother me. 1. After the last Android update every time I delete a file (podcast) within the app, I get an error. I press ok and the file is still listed. In reality the file was successfully deleted, but the list doesn't update until I navigate to the same folder again. So deleting works, but is somewhat inconvenient. 2. The "playlist" in the folder doesn't update, unless I stop playback or press skip. Otherwise newly added files will be skipped by the player, even though they're in the folder being played. 3. Inability to edit buttons available in the lock screen. There Play/Pause and Next. When I accidentally press next I may lose my place in a 2 hour long podcast. That's so annoying! Instead seek forward and rewind would be very useful for skipping long jingles and ads within podcasts.

I love the features of this app, this app USED TO be my favorite. HOWEVER, it stops playing music if: The screen moves, the screen is off, you go to another app. WHY use a music app that won't play music if the screen is off, your screen moves in the app, or you exit out of the app? This app is FRUSTRATING. So, I downloaded a new music player. I'm really upset. This app used to be great! Im not changing my review until they fix these issues. Currently using new music player while typing this.

Good editing effects🙂🙂🙂but.... I can give only 3 stars to it. It's becuase there's no quick tour or some kind of introduction of the app and it's features so it's very hard to quit the .mp3 I am editing and switch to other and I can't figure it out how to save the edited audio there's no such option and pl. Update the app and make it compatible with Android 5.0 and higher versions with some more improvements the app would be the best audio editor and player.

I have used this app for many years and it was great - I bought the unlocker as well. But since my phone upgraded to android 11 it does not work at all - it will not play anything. When I re-install the app it says that this app with made for an earlier version of android and may not work right. Indeed, it looks the the app has not been updated for 4 years! I contacted the developer with the problem and they didn't even get back to me - so, terrible customer service/support even to a paying customer like myself.

Look,this app is perfect and the best music app ever. But the problem is,on my Galaxy J6, when you tap a song,Maple doesn't show up. Neither can I find a way to set it as the default player. That's all I want to do,be because right now,I can access music on Maple only by opening the app directly.

This is a wonderful music player, but as of now the app seems to have a bug that causes playback to stop whenever the player is put into the background (such as when the phone is locked or when the app is tucked behind another app). Reinstalling the player temporarily resolves the issue, but it could recur sometime after reinstalling.

Not playing background? Do the following: Tap the three bars in top left, click on playback position, then you can minimise the player or lock your phone and it will keep playing and the controls will appear on your lock screen. Clearing cache only works briefly before issue comes back. Same with deleting and reinstalling. Developers please fix this. Thank you.

Constantly running in the background(shows up in high battery background usage alert). Starts playing music randomly when I leave the phone charging overnight(happens about twice a month). Starts playing music on it's own when I connect my headset even the auto play is off, thinks it's the default player even if YouTube Music os set to be the default.

I purchased Maple long back. Now it's frustrating because it no longer runnes background. This irritation must be fixed. Strange that earlier it worked well in background. Normally things should improve with time. But otherwise it's a great music app. The app now plays in background, but still. erratic. Not always. Needs to be fixed. Except this fault it's the best music app out there.

So i used Maple for many, many years, and continue to use it occasionally. Rocket Player has supplanted this though as it continues to see active development. This app will no longer be usable with Android 11+, so those of you using 10 or below, i would recommend switching, unless development resumes (which is unlikely). No complaints though - Maple JB has been amazing since i first discovered it all the way back in 2011, and deserves accolades for being stable from 2.3.5 all the way to 10.

Overall the app is awesome but it can also be very unstable . The pitch and speed changers wont work when music is played from widget , the shuffle option stops when the app is closed and when music is stoped manually from the notification bar , the maple notification disappears meaning you have to go to the app to replay your song . It would be really good if closing the app from multifunction wouldn't close the notification bar controls .

This used to be a 5 star app, but with the latest Android update it will no longer play audio. Very sad, because it was absolute favorite music player app. PLEASE fix to work with current android version.

(edit: 24/01/19) now I have a Samsung A70, but just form today, every time I leave the app, it stops playing. When I go back to the app it's not playing and the song goes back to the start. What's happening? never had a problem with it before but just installed this on my new Huawei p20 lite, and for some reason, the song stops playing about 15 minites after the screen has turned off.. have no idea why, but the screen needs to be turned back on to resume playback. anyone know how to fix this???

Hi dear developer, I've been a user for years and Maple is my favourite audio player. However, since Samsung bumped my phone (S10e) to One UI 3 and your latest update as of the time of this writing, Maple has just stopped working. It won't even recognise my music folders. 😭 Ps. Poweramp works fine. As does VLC. 😩

love the app, been using for 5 years. However theres a major bug at the moment on my samsung galaxy s9+ when I press the power or home button it crashes and music stops playing. I have to go into my open apps, close the app and the re open it for it to work. please fix and I'll change my rating

This is one of the best player. It has everything to play my audio. The best in adjusting the speed without downgrading the sound. Other players stutter or degrade the sound. But Maple Player maintains the sound quality very well. Hope developer will continue to update it. Thanks.

It's a great application helpfull for musicians but...... It's perfect for shifting pitch and adjust the tempo of a song without effecting any aspects of the song....but a sad thing is ; it's doesn't work with the OS android 11....I just upgrade my OS one day before....and I didn't check my all applications are worked in the platform of this OS.....When I need a situation that I want it suddenly it doesn't work....soooo....plz upgrade the app by its6 developers....it's an urgent requirement

No background play with 10+.. Sad as I may have to dump Maple, as I've used it for years. Now I must go to Apps, stop Maple and restart to play in background, but if I stop playing must repeat this process. Still works with my old S8. Sent email to developer 2 days ago, no reply yet, not good. PS, I have the unlocked version.

Great app! Been using it for about 2 - 2.5 years. My go-to app for music. I love how there's an option for reverb and removing the center layers of the song/audio. And the ads are barely even noticeable, which is a plus.

What a shame! Music cuts out when you change tempo. This needed to be on the fly for it to be useful for me. Audio buffer does nothing. The rest of the app seems great. Would give more stars if this problem was fixed.

Ive been using this app for years. I started having issues with music ceasing to play when switching out of the app. It's frustrating, as this has been happening for months, and seemingly nothing has been done about it
