Great app to stick to training plan
Really easy to use
Reasonable schedules for training
It describes the types of workouts if you don't know what they are (for instance a tempo run). It has a pretty good progression for improvement on workouts and gives u tips and advice. I wish for the tips though it went into more detail as to explaining why or how. I like to know the science of how things (or your body) work. I have the free version though so I don't know if it's any different for the paid version. It works for what I need but it doesn't knock my socks off.
The training plans are great and the tips are very useful. Would be great if it would sync to the map my run or map my fitness apps so a run you complete with them is automatically ticked off your plan. Would also be useful for the plan page to automatically go to the most recent day particularly for a long plan where you have to scroll to the right date.
At first glance it looks good, but I'm signed up to do my first marathon at the end of May and my plan's longest run on this is 3 hours, which is very optimistic, as I'll be aiming for around 5 hours. If this linked with UA Record, it would be great for ticking runs off.
It halts progress. It wants you to reach 5k by a specific time (either a month or two) and any extra amount of time you select it just tapers you back down and then up again to drag out the process instead of easing you in slowly in the first place. I don't know about you but after I've gotten to the point where I can run 15 mins straight with a 1 min walk I don't want to go back to running 3 mins with a 2 min walk. Really the only benefit to this is to link it with myfitnesspal and the like.
Hi. Just wanted to give you a suggestion for a simple improvement to your run trainer app. Currently you can only mark a particular days workout as completed, however it is fairly common for life to get in the way and the workout was in fact missed or skipped. We should be able to mark that as well. Even better if the app reworked the training plan to account for whether or not workouts are actually getting done. Just my 2 cents. Thanks.
I wish there was a calendar view instead of just the list view, and when I sync it to my Google calendar the text is too long to see how far I am running that day with out clicking on each on individually. I also personally prefer to run based on distance rather than time so I wish there was an option to create a distance based plan, but it definitely serves its purpose for training and maybe there is something to timed runs that I just don't know about yet.
This will never replace an actual personal trainer but it still does a great job as, would be nice if you could have more options. Only "real" complain I have to do is that you (at least I on my LGv10) can't scroll when on text and therefore can't read it in its entirety.
I really like having a running plan and this app is really easy to use, but I wish there was an option to add recommended cross training exercises and strength exercises on the days off, and I wish there was a way to pick preferred rest days (like Sundays).
There is a minor glitch with run days but as you can modify it yourself it's no big deal. I needed training guidance, and a plan all laid out. This app does that. It is easy to follow and covers from beginner to experienced.
Good plan, if a little limited in details. Love the recent update that allows you to reorder runs. Don't love that the calendar events the app produces come up in Google calendar as all-day events because in the Android calendar widget, all-day events don't stay on the front screen all day.
I need to be able to set this to say, for example, "no runs on X day." It sets up your schedule for you, but doesn't take into account days that you don't want/can't workout. So I like the idea behind this app, but I need to be able to adjust the settings more for my needs.
Great app for helping you stay the course. Could be better with explaining specific workouts better, but that's my only issue.
First week of half training had three rest days in a row. Not a good plan. Ever. No updates since 2016 per app info page.
The bad: impossible to edit plan only make a new one. However making a new plan doesn't take in consideration your current progress. So you start with easy short runs. Also I have a bug that when integrated into calendar it shows miles instead of km. Another bug: I chose the long run to be on Friday but get it on Saturday! Still it's the best free app available.
Would be MUCH better if you could modify your plan if you encounter something that prevents your training on any given day. We had too much snow and ice and I missed some days....so I had to restart the plan. SUPER irritating. Also, why can't I see my plan on a computer? It'd make it easier for me to compensate for missed days on my own.
Good plans, knows how to push me but my new 10k plan doesn't show tips on running days at all. Also needs to sync with fitbit. I don't run with my phone.
I like that this app will take me straight to Map My Run. I wish it would tell my when time walk/run at the times that are on my training plan (like the couch 2 5k apps).
Love the plan the app makes for runners, walkers, or someone going from the couch to a half marathon. Only issue is on days it says to run x minutes and walk x minutes the app should have a verbal timer telling you when you need to run and when you need to walk.
I wish there was a way to block out days from the schedule. Like say "I can't run on Fridays and Mondays" then let the app build a plan around that
A good integration of training plans into MapMyFitness. Hopefully it will help me get to a new level with my training
So far it has done what I need which is a simple trainer. It's nice that I can share the training with my calendar. I do wish it integrated with other apps
This is a practical application but doesn't rock me socks. Pretty much confirmed the training plan I've already got in place. Oh well...
I would rate this higher but there is no way to access your plan from different devices. I recently changed phone and feel like I'm starting over from scratch . Super annoyed
Good app reason for the low rate is because this training program is focused on fast strong runners. I know is not for slower runners
