Marco Polo Video Walkie Talkie

I love this app! Keeping touch with people is so easy. I don't have to text a single word. I don't have to resort to a voice memo. I get to have face to face connection live or any time it's convenient for me to watch messages. I'm not constrained to 10 to 30 second reels and watching longer video messages isn't broken up in those 10 to 30 second reels. It's changed how I communicate!

Love this app!! I use it to keep in contact with long distance friends and family. It would be amazing if they could swap filters to be part of the premium plan and maybe put two times speed back in the free plan? I would absolutely be willing to pay for a subscription at a lower price. It seems a little high to me. Or maybe a larger one time fee. I understand they need income to keep this app working properly! I just wish it was a little more affordable.

Love this app so I decided to pay for the plus version so I could send my own photos and videos to family members but over the past month or so it hasn't been working. I keep getting a playback error every time. I restart the app, even take the time to Uninstall and reinstall the app and it hasn't fixed the issue. I've canceled my plus subscription and will only use the free version from now on.

Used to love this app. Now it's hard to get polos and seconds to play and can no longer post a picture on my seconds. Like this for lots of my friends also . Very disappointing specially when you are a paying member. Still use it but have cut back a ton and went to voice text just to be able to "talk" to people

Please make this app work better with the Samsung S21 Ultra! In my car it takes forever to connect to Bluetooth when I'm switching back to the app from music or Audible. I have to cycle through old Marcos in order to give it time to connect. OR it connects right away, but disconnects within seconds and I have to wait for it to reconnect. It's the app with this phone, not my car, because it worked seamlessly on my Samsung S10+. I started having problems when I switched phones.

This used to be the best! Now Every time I click on add photos for seconds it brings up a split second message, that I think says, I have to give permission to open photos. Or something of that nature. I've even emailed tech support. I keep hoping with every update that ot will get fixed.

I've used MP for many years, and it has been my top fave app. It's been essential in keeping up with my relationships. But over the past several months, the app has slow connection and takes a long time to load my polos. This has greatly reduced the functionality of the app for me. I even upgraded my phone and cell carrier to try to fix the issue, but it didn't help. This is the only app I have connection issues with so I know it's the app. Support was nice but unable to help. So disappointing.

I really love this app!!! but the past few weeks it's been glitching and I can't add pictures to my seconds . It's very annoying. Especially since I paid to use this app and it's not working correctly. Please fix this problem! My mom's app is doing the same thing. EDIT. changed my rating to one star because the problem was never fixed 😔

I've moved in the last 2 months, and during this time (with perfectly fine internet) the videos just infinitely load and it takes hours to see one video. This just randomly happens when I'm having a conversation. I'm in the military, so this type of app is perfect and worked very well previously. It's been months of not being able to answer or see my moms videos during the time I'm able to even talk to her. Its very frustrating and neither of our internet is the issue.

I downloaded this app nearly 4 years ago and I was such a fan. It allowed for me to make quick contact with friends and family. I loved that I could send a quick video on the go, speed up longer videos or react to a video with either and emoji or live video. About a year or so in, the creators took back most of those features and charged a fee to regain access. I thought that was in poor taste. If they wanted to create a pro version of the app, then they should have developed new feature and charged for those instead. At a minimum, they should have grandfathered in those of us that already had the app prior to their upgrade. It was a classic bait and switch move and I have not enjoyed the experience since and rarely use the app. Hoping someone will develop a similar version without the ridiculous fees.

Terrible update!! Making users now pay for what used to be standard?! And it's not even a one time unlock fee either, it's a monthly subscription! So even if you subscribe for a length of time and spend all that money, you decide to end the membership and you lose it all. Like you never even had it. Terrible update and all the features I used to be able to use are locked. I can't even pause now or watch on 2x speed. So terrible. I DO NOT recommend this app! Just awful what they've done with it.

The idea is amazing, I use this app daily to stay connected with loved ones. The 3 stars is for the issues, bugs if you will, disrupting many functions. Being a plus member I would expect to be able to use all the functions without problems. I did reach out to tech support and was disappointed with the service. I'll continue to use the app, but I won't be paying for it.

An app I use to stay in communication with a handful of people. I miss the old version, before there was ever a paid one. Where I could fast forward and rewind. Where I could use more emojis. Where people could see when certain reactions took place during videos. Not a fan of the changes but I'll continue to use unless something better comes along.

I really like the Marco Polo app, but I have had an ongoing problem with the seconds and being able to load a photo on them. I used to be able to load a photo on my seconds, but somewhere along the line, now I can't. I have contacted customer service multiple times, and have been informed twice that this is a known issue and they are working on it.

So far so good, easy enough to use and fun. Still find it nice and easy, but now if you have the free version they took away a number of features that once had been free. Rather disappointing, but I guess that's our world, get them to use it, like it and then charge for parts that use to be free, since we are already hooked.

Very expensive to have 2x speed, all so fruatrating considering their bait and switch approach to fees. Also, very frustrating having such a glitchy experience when paying for the service. Emailed tech support and they told me my video had issues and that's why it wouldn't play once uploaded, and not it happens 70% of the time I try uploading a video. This never happened before I paid for a year's worth of your subscription. Emailed you again today.

It might be my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) but I have a lot of trouble getting the app to work consistently, often having to try 5+ times to get into it. Then the camera will freeze. I've spent upwards of half an hour, sending a 1-minute message. Frustrating.

I love the flexibility of taking videos and chatting, but allowing access for the app to use my camera has messed with the camera on my phone so that videos using my phone's camera app are ruined. I have to uninstall the app to take videos on my phone if I want them high quality (meaning they have normal audio), and then reinstall to chat with people. After uninstalling and reinstalling different apps I was able to find Marci Polo was the one causing the problem with my phone's camera.

I like Marco Polo a lot but lately I've had a problem. I can see other's polos but when I make one I get a constant message saying "reconnecting" which doesn't resolve. I can send my polos but the recipients get the infamous spinning circle. I have closed and opened the app & restarted my phone. I was unable to find where to check if I have the latest version. Wifi is at full power. Internet strength is only 2 bars although I'm sitting by my router, speed 500mbps. Advice??

Been using Marco for years now, I redownloaded it with my new phone, and now I don't have any sound on videos. Not even the tutorial polo video. Can't hear a thing. My sound is all the way up and my advanced settings doesn't have anything for sound. I hope they can fix it.

I have not had any serious issues with this app untill it was switched over to a partially paid app. Now I feel like they are purposely slowing the app or not supporting it well so it lags and crashes on my phone. This is sad. I did enjoy using this app. This happens when I am solidly connected to wifi, not just when im using data, so that excuse is out the window.

I heard everything used to be free.... Now it's just 1 feature available until you upgrade your subscription. Still pretty cool if you use it to talk to 1 or 2 people. Any more than that and I'll have to buy more features to get thru the videos faster.

MY REVIEW: i love this app. they were 100% correct when they described this as being the closest you can get you having a conversation in person using technology.i use marco polo to keep in touch with my best friend who is hundreds of miles away, and has been for 20 years, it's like I never even moved away. MY TIP TO THE USER: also, the premium version is 100% worth it!! TO THE CREATORS & APP DEVELOPERS: thank you all, this app is a godsend!! ♡

I've had this app for very long time, it worked best before they started charging. Now I can't watch a few seconds of video before it freezes up. This app also takes up a ton of storage and there is no way to easily delete old messages.

Amazing. Great way to keep connected. Video makes more personal than a text. Impossible to convey "context" in a text- and we all know how important voice inflection, facial features & gestures are to good communication!

Works well, I find it annoying how they shove all the "get your other contacts on here!" stuff in my face. If I wanted them on here I'd get them on here without prompting. But it works well for the people I use it with. Since I don't use it much I don't find any use for paying, but the features seem good. And I respect the developers making it clear that they don't sell our data!!!!!

Pretty good platform for talking to friends or family locally or long distances. Sometimes polos are really slow to load or don't load at all but sometimes they're fast as well. 3 stars! If connection issues gets solved then 5 stars it would be!
