Mark

Mark is a simplified film slate to be used by everyone in the film industry, from camera assistants in a large production to vloggers in their bedrooms.
Mark features large, readable text with a pleasant design. With that, you can easily see what is the current scene, take, and roll.

After you set the details, you press the "Start Mark" button. Now, as you press anywhere on the screen, the whole app will flash a color and play a tone, making it easy for editors to sync video with separate audio sources!

That's it! Simple, straight forward, and useful.

I know that the app is missing some fields, like production name, director, etc. However, I felt that simplicity of use and design is more important. I am looking into a DAY/NIGHT setting.

Future Release Plans =====

* App looks fine on Nexus 9 and Nexus 10. Text is a bit small on a Nexus 7. Fix in a future release.
* Looking into ways to add DAY and NIGHT. Have not found a non-clunky way to add them.

Lacking ease of use features, Dev updates? Needs dark mode- white text on black background option. Needs 3 sec countdown with clap sound. Needs double tap to set scene and take #, ability to do 1 but no 1A. Tiny "Last shot" text would be helpful. It's basic so if you have a medium sized project that's not shot in order, takes more work than necessary to setup quickly, and if you're the assistant running this, you've got a director waiting on you.

I'm impressed with this software it's free and it is professional as you would expect. It's as a filmmaker\producer perfect tool. I'm thankful to the developer for this application it's all that we ever need. A lock button (half-second delay until able to rotate numbers) a different custom sound will be fantastic. Thank you developer.

Otherwise very good, except these things: No ability to write scene numbers, scrolling a lot is annoying. // Scene numbers only go up to 99. What if your scene number is like 529? Lots of TV-shows also use the first 2 numbers to show the episode, so scene 1015 would be the 15th scene in episode 10. // No setting for scene-shot-take and shots as numbers. In my country it's pretty standard to use a running shot number. So it would be really nice to have a setting for shot numbers.

Great app and smart to keep it simple! One feature to add is press and hold to manually enter scene number. When filming, it can be time consuming having to flip through all the numbers. For example my current project has more than 70 scenes.

Ok, i wasn't impressed at first but after testing pretty much all the such apps out there im totally impressed with the app. Simple, effective and above all works. The only thing i could ask is an option choosing for sound marking playing only once or continuously as does now.

Simple to use and very effective way to synch my action camera, mobile camera and drone videos in post. Great app. Before you start wondering too much: scene and take numbers swipe up/down. I spent a little time figuring this out ;)

It's OK, nice and simple. But why is the text a low-contrast faded color? Just make them BLACK so they show up well. Also, it auto-rotates only one way - on my tablet it's upside down unless I hold the tablet upside down ;-(

Great simple slate for home productions. Scene and Take: slide them up/down to change. Tap Roll to set. Tap Start Mark then tap anywhere for time and visual marker.

Love it. Please add "empty" before "A" at the SCENE field, so it can show only number at SCENE. And its own Vol. button rather then adjusting the Vol. at alarm vol..

Excellent...just add somewhere in the lower left or anywhere a little box showing what was the last take and it would be perfect.

Simply and the best for model cameras

Simple but well made little app. I'd like to see a more full featured version eventually but it's pretty good as is. It's not possible to remove the letter (for example needing to start with 1A rather than 1) which has caused minor annoyance on some sets. However, still the best android slate I've seen.

Simple and effective, but when you exit to the home screen or even turn the phone screen off it resets the shot and take number. The one reason I needed an app like this is so I don't have to worry about which shot I'm on. Would work perfectly if it simply remembered which number I'm on until I reset it manually

A fixed mark length option and a few different sounds would be nice, otherwise it's perfect.

Great I think it would be an awesome feature if you could also add a field for the number of the sound file, I use a a field mixer that records my sound on a separate machine with its own numbering system

It's basic yes, it can have extra added stuff BUT it's free & it does the job BEAUTIFULLY.

Simple and it works. It would be nice to see real time running, but as a single camera producer it's all I really need. I'd pay for a few more features. Pro version coming?

Nice and simple. Delivers exactly what promised.

Really lovely and simple interface. excellent job. Only thing is, the volume goes off the ring volume not the media volume, so you can't have your phone on silent if you wanna use the app. On my Pixel anyway.

Love the feel and ease, but does not have enough fields that a classic slate does for it to be of use, would at least love the option to enable them. Also the sound is not working for me, tried many ways and times.
