Great app in general. I only give a 4 star as I think it could be improved by the app remembering which programme you are on and giving you reminders of the next workout. When you go back into the app, the last workout is there but it doesn't move on to the next. you have to go to the programme and work out which week your on and find the workout. I was very surprised at the results. I have a slim build and the workouts have really toned me up. Especially my abdominals and arms.
This is pretty solid content. And there's A LOT of it on this app! Enough to keep you busy for quite a while. It will cover bodyweight training for absolute beginners to a pretty advanced level for sure. Also a side note, the production value on the 2.0 program is quite impressive! This app surely needs more recognition Only issue i faced was when i played any video on preset video quality, 1080p(let's say), it keeps buffering a lot. Though my internet speed is more than enough for this!
I've been loving this app all week. It's far better than old web interface, so if you'd tried it in the past and couldn't deal with the bugs, give the app a chance. If you're new to Mark Lauren's programs, or just looking for a fresh way to train, I cannot recommend this enough. With proper diet, these routines, and consistency I have completely transformed myself.
This app has several great strength and recovery programs, with a subscription (but for quality and fresh material, who isn't a subscription anymore?). I liked YAYOG, and was happy to see this major upgrade . He's more low key than lots of trainers out there, straight forward, and the exercises don't seem intense until you try them. The recovery stuff seems easy, but ends up essential for mobility. The staff are responsive and thoughtful when I have questions/concerns, really enjoy it overall.
The workouts are really great, I love them and have been doing them for years. To use them in the app, you have to pay a monthly fee, which is appropriate imho for daily workouts, fast and competent support, and loads of programms to pick from.The app itself is a bit crowded, and it takes some time to find what you seek. The training schedules and diaries are downloadable pdfs, no calendar integration, no possibilty to enter your reps in the app, no checks for done workouts. But those are great
I use the DVDs since years. The app was and is great, because you could do the workouts everywhere, without needing a DVD player or computer. On top, the app has a variety of great workouts and challenges. The only things where improvements would be cool are.... The possibility to turn of the music during workout just like the option using the DVDs. And, although the "newer style" cool downs are good, it would be nice to have more longer passive workouts to use after the training session.
Effective, challenging, organized. This is so versatile and adaptable. You can go to easier workouts when you are sick or injured, and then ramp up to bigger challenges when you are at the top of your game. Builds not only strength, but flexibility and coordination. This is an excellent overall program.
Pros: Mark is a superb trainer with an exemplary fitness background. His no nonsense demeanor is inspiring without the screaming or yelling. Cons: App looks and feels busy and cluttered. I try to work one program at a time, I don't need to see everything every time I open the app. Suggestion to developer: a flow chart or pdf with paths listed for program progression so you know where each program fits in based on fitness level.
Exceptional & adaptable workouts!! This app helps me through tough times and keeps the good times going. Chose lighter workouts for when you don't have time or are injured. Or choose harder workouts for when you're ready to challenge yourself. These workouts are made to improve mobility, flexibility, and strength. Try it and you'll see and feel the improvement in your life. I have! 🙂👍
I was shocked at how quickly I saw that what Mark says, 'You get out what you put in', manifested. This is a fantastic app that makes it easy to create and commit to the ideal personalized workout routine. The results were unexpectedly immediate. The Mark Lauren programs have triggered a cascade of healthy upgrades throughout my life. Thank you Mark and Lea!
Great app, however 4 stars because I'd like routines without tutorials would be great for prep and 2.0 I put my nephew nieces on the 2.0 program because of how they have not had adequate form for their basketball fitness, compensating for lack of core strength and dynamic movement they have suffered injuries. It's been 3 months doing 2.0 and no reoccurring knee or back injuries. They look stronger on the court and move well and take contact with ease where they use to be pushed over.
A great tool.for home workouts. I have used the DVDs and books for years so it was really helpful to have them in one place. I have a one year old so finding the time for exercise is hard. This makes it possible to dit something in around work and childcare.
Using the PrePrep program as I haven't exercised in years apart from steady state cardio and wow I feel absolutely fantastic. The progressions are spot on, video is HD and clear to understand. It would be nice to have a calendar function to record workouts.Highly recommended.
App is working well, no crashes, lags.. Videos are high quality. Everything is sorted very smart and clearly. And the content? It is the best.. I am working out with Mark's workouts for several years and I am feeling well.
I purchased this program and week ago & so far it's challenging. I hope to see results. I like the schedule to guide you for each day/week/90 days. I also like the tutorials prior to the exercise. Very helpful. It's well worth the price. Very well done. Thank you Mark Lauren for creating this program. I will update in a few weeks using this app & workout. :)
I wanted to find an at home workout that was easier to engage with than the traditional 'do this exercise enter the reps' I tried Fiit but I found it was too focused on HIIT, not enough on form and strength The polish of the videos is really great. I feel engaged and motivated to use it. Thanks Mark!
It's great, there is a program for every level. I feel like im improving with every week. My mobility has never been better. Those little niggles seem to be melting away even though im being challanged! Wish I had this sooner.
Great lighting and camera layout. Mark is a master of body movements and mechanics. An excellent variety of movements and intensity based on your ability level.
Haven't done trial just looked at the content. app apears to simply show different full videos of exercises. Frequently with a lengthy introduction by Mark. I need to be able to edit and create my own workouts. So YAYOG is a better deal for me.
I had chronic back pain, shoulder issues, and couldn't pick up my 5-year-old daughter for a hug. I completed the Prep Program and no longer needed CBD oils to get to sleep. Now I am doing Bodyweight 2.0, it's tough but you can go at your own pace. I fully recommend this app and program for any level of fitness. There is something for everyone!
I love the app, but would be nice to have a Check mark(√) like YAYOG app when your done with the workout because it makes it easier and faster for busy people out there. I know there is spread sheet, but it out of my way. Thanks for what you do anyways.
So much content, very well made videos and easy to follow. Many different challenges and levels, some of the best fitness programs I have ever followed are from Mark Lauren. I strongly recommend this app.
Comprehensive training programs for all levels of fitness, intuitive user interface and continuously updated app. Amazing!
App is easy to navigate and use. The workouts are great. Ability to download for offline viewing is thoughtful and useful.
Been a fan of YAYOG since the first app came up. This program goes beyond that, but you can have both and there is something for all levels. It might not make you look like a body builder, but that's not really the goal here. It is to make you fit, and fitness is defined by seven factors other than strength. 💪
Mark knows what is doing. Either you are looking for simple that doesn't eat all yoir schedule or something more dense you will find it. The 90 day challenge was great just to keep me doing, seeing result, feeling stronger, without to much hussle. Im starting week 11. Its great work!
Excellent material by the bodyweight workout guru. However app does need to be simplified as I have to go through a bit of a mission to find where I last was.
I've been following Mark's guidelines since his first book was released. The app puts together all the great programs he has since developed over the years. Cutting edge fitness know-how for anyone at any age.
Loving the app so far. You get access to the entire library of programs and videos, even the original dvds, all on your phone. I especially like being able to download the videos on my phone as I am often out of connectivity. The downloads remain on your phone for as long as you need them. That and the provided spreadsheets make this the most versatile workout app I have tested. I can do the workouts anywhere, anytime.
