The creators of this platform did an amazing job. The way the information is presented is brilliant. I really want to master this tool, however the software is very buggy. I get constant crashes and lots of broken functionality everywhere in the app. The worst part is the customer support. I sent them lots of emails. The answers I get is usually "clear the cash, log out and log back in again" etc, but it's never "oh you are right, this is not working, let us fix this"
Unable to look up stock symbols. It doesn't matter what I type in the search window I can't get the chart of the stock I want. It just stops autocompleting. I am only able to look at charts of recently viewed symbols. This happens quite often, then it fixes itself after some time. MarketSmith is a terrific product, I am a subscriber, but the app is buggy. The website have some bugs too.

I use market smith all the time. However since upgrading my phone the app has not been working. Everything else works on my phone except market smith. I have contacted customer support and they are unable to do anything. This is very disappointing. I can't use the mobile app at all. The issue is obviously with MS app. I should get some sort of compensation for this. But instead I'm left with "there is nothing we can do." Please upgrade the mobile app version for newer bigger phones.
Great product with some compability issues. Love the tablet version especially the multi-timeframe view. However, on Bluestacks, the ticker search only work on the home screen, not on the chart screen. The earnings/sales numbers doesn't line up for daily or weekly charts depending on the DPI value you choose in Bluestacks settings.
Unfortunatly not working (chrashing) on Android 7 Huawei Tablet BTV DL 09 with Emui 5.04. After starting it chrashes in the moment when I touch the area where to type the company you want to see. Before it states "selected periodity not abailable". Unlike the view on my other phone it turns 90Degree. Working on my smaller Nokia Phone with Android 8. Not very happy about it, as the service is quite expensive.
Locks up and many functions don't work. I can't load any lists or charts. It may need a newer more powerful phone. Crashes all the time. I am using it on a 3 year old android phone.
Terrible, unable to add any ticker symbols in the search window. When it works well, this app is amazing, probably the best on the market, but it has been let down by the engineers who haven't built it properly.
A long time user, I made the mistake of updating the app and as others have said it crashes and is unusable. The desktop program is great, but mobile app is now a disaster.
Don't believe the company's responses to other reviews saying "there must be some confusion" about the bait/switch pricing. As others said, it IS buggy, even just trying to get thru the sign up process and it DOES demand $150 PER MONTH after taking your name/email and you CAN'T see inside the app without paying that. There is no "confusion". If it was they would've fixed it already. That's just PR spin. Collecting email addresses is probably the real goal here, anyway.
Buggy. Get a lot of errors when trying to open chart shown data not available. It can take a while to load data too. Otherwise, good tool. Loading chart data is problematic 😐
After cancelling the trial and using Google Play to pay for the app, the app loops telling me to purchase, then tells me "Error, you have already paid." I contacted Marketsmith, and they have no record of the transaction because it was through GooglePlay, and Google directed me to the app developer. App Developer, please fix this so my Android can access your great program. I will change my review to 5 stars when this issue is resolved.
You go through this long login then at the end of all of that it's $149 per month... well if you would have told me how much it costs up front... I could have saved a lot of time by skipping and moving on to a better app that would let me TRY BEFORE I BUY...
Tried several times to get the trial to work. It just loops around to the same screens never allowing you to the interface. Get it together knuckleheads.
Would be a great app if the developers would fix more of the bugs. Slow, issues with the lists, & screener not loading. Could also use aesthetic boost to look more like IBD
App crashes upon starting it. Tried reinstalling but it didn't help. Please fix this since the webapp is nearly unusable. I'm currently running Pixel 2 XL and Android v9.
this is awful. as soon as did the trial i reived an email every ten minutes with no option to unsubscribe via this useless app or via email. when i called the company directly they said they could not unsubscribe me bc they have nothing to do with it, it being a third party app
Subscribed after canceling the trial, and it defaulted to block me out permanently. Google Play told me to contact the developer, and IBD didn't take responsibility for their app issue (sent me back to Google; No refund.) Since I am a subscriber to their IBD app, I really know this is a great tool. I was disappointed to not be treated like a valued customer. I don't see in the app description if this problem was corrected with the Dec. 20th app update.
Great app with great charts, servers can be a bit buggy and software isn't seemless. But overall this is a fantastic platform and my favorite.
Amazing trading charts, and investment fundamentals to make profitable trades and investment. I put 4 star instead of 5 because of the price. If it was $100 then it would have been golden. A 5 out of 5
The app should work similar to the website, all features should work in conjunction to the chart on the website. But its good to get for start, with improvements five.
Why is the Android app not as good or stable as your IOS app. Get new Android developers for this app and bring it up to par with your IOS app. Marketsmith should have a consistent experience across platforms. This lets your excellent service down.
Bait & Switch!!! There's nothing free in this app. It's $29.99 for the first month. Then $149.99 a month after. I expected better from Investors Bussiness Daily.

Buggy right from the start. Had issues trying to sign up. Would have been good to know the price before downloading!!! FYI it is 29.99 Now I am signed up doe something I will never use.
$150 bucks without the ability to see how it works with even simulated data. Not worth the time.
No free trial? Not even a week? How do you expect me to try this out without even letting me see if it works? At least with paid google play apps, there's an automatic 2 hour refund period.
Great app... excellent charts and up to date info... to make informed decisions when trading. A bit pricy however!
I really like marketsmith, the app is clean and runs fine on my relatively old device. It offers a good selection of potential winning stocks, but ultimately down to the buyer to dyor and pick higher percentage of winning opportunities. My only gripe would be, their charts aren't dynamic. And the price, for someone like me who's only been in the game for about a year and who's still finding my feet, it's just not affordable, in comparison to to other cheaper/free options elsewhere.
