Marvel Puzzle Quest

I love puzzle quest games - there's something about matching those little gems that I just find relaxing; a great way to disconnect. I'm a huge marvel fan, so really it's the best of both worlds! There are SO many characters, which is a good and bad thing. The team synergy versatility with ability combos can be awesome but it takes some time to obtain enough shards to get a character. To get even more than one ability for any 4 or 5 star character; you'll be playing awhile.

It was really good at launch but it has now become a pay to win game, it's almost impossible to collect all the characters since they come out with a new character every month or so, the events are very repetitive and if you don't have the required characters for a specific event it's impossible to reach 1st place, the music has been the same since launch. I've had this game since launch 2013 or so and I have yet to collect more than 100 characters and level up more than 300 characters, 9 years!

Pros: Game consistantly adds new characters. Its allowed me to get more familiar with lesser known Marvel characters. If you continue to play over the years (I'm on year 7), then the game doesn't really cost anything to play because you can get all of the resources that you need for free. They (designers) keep a repetitive color matching puzzle game interesting. Cons: It a repetitive color matching puzzle game. In the beginning it will cost newer players money if they want to keep up.

Game is entertaining enough, however, I can't help but think this game is a "pay to win". The same currency used to get characters is also used to buy more character slots, which is really annoying considering you don't get alot of currency to begin with. And I can definitely agree with the others when they say that it's really annoying how you can't play certain events because you don't have a certain character.

I like the game well enough but when you get into it the more difficult it becomes to collect characters. The price goes up from 200 to 750 hero tokens to get heroes. They want you to spend money. Also, In the course of playing, I have had 2 characters disappear from my roster with no explanation as to why. If more continue to disappear I may have to delete the game altogether. Not very happy at the moment. Watch your character roster carefully.

I've been playing this game for years. It is so hard to get the actually covers you really want/need without paying. There should be a way where you can do a "one time" swap or a system to swap out covers for other similar covers. Fit examples 3 stars for 3 stars, 4 stars for 4 stars and 5 stars for 5 stars. There are to many covers and I'm constantly getting the same ones. For some of us who don't play versus or play casually. It is almost impossible to get what you want/need. It's frustrating

I played both the original PQ and MTG:PQ, both were good. This game is a downright shame compared to them. If we pay to get extra units, we then have to pay to use those units - terrible system. The entry gate to a guaranteed 4* is $20, which is useless because you don't get base powers without more copies. The quests are time gated, so if all we have is a 3-hour block available, we can't maximize points for events - we have to come back multiple times a day, multiple days. Just bad.

Great game with good visuals that offer a bit more than just a regular match 3. Each character has a special power. The only draw back I see is that once you finish campaign mode that's it it. It has serval events that you can earn rare and legendary cards but earning them doesn't mean you will be able to add them to your roster since it becomes really expensive after a while.

My favorite match 3 puzzle game. I really like all the characters and their special powers. The stories as well as the comic book covers you can collect (from real Marvel runs) are neat also. My only complaint at all is that there aren't the variety of match shapes that players might be used to in other games, like four match boxes, dual rows, diagonals, etc., so some people might be bored with just the standard three matches (though they do have extra credit for corners and five matches).

"Awesome/fantastic!! I've been playing for over a year and the game just keeps getting better!!" That was my original review from a few years back and I stand by it today 💯%! Coming back recently after a long break it was wonderful to see all the improvements and great changes that have been made. Not to mention ALL THE NEW CHARACTERS! I'm so glad I came back!!! It's a fun game. It incentives spending by encouraging you to build your roster as quickly as possible, but ftr, unless you can pull (from some surprisingly low-chance methods) multiple copies of the same character, it's worth it to focus jn lower star characters first. I like it, but love it? It's a Marvel Bejeweled. Unfortunately, yeah, I love it.

Three ideas. 1) If you're continue to support the character support, something needs to be done to increase the strengthening and distribution of the supports. I have been playing every day and have 0 5* Supports and I don't have any of the Infinity stone supports. 2) When you level up a character, bring them up to full health. 3) In the PVE, get rid of the curved arrow on the nodes and replace them with the number of times played.

I love this game, it took a little bit to understand how to play but it's worth keeping on the phone. I would of gave it 5 stars but I may never get to have an opportunity to climb as high as I need to without putting $$ into it not really the games fault but as much time as you need to get higher in ranks a lot can happen.....anyway...it's a very good game!!!💯 I'll play as long as I am able too 💯

I really enjoy the game. My 2 biggest issues are as follows: 1) versus matchmaking is completely broken to the point I only play it to finish daily quests. At a certain point the levels of opponents heros/villians are so far beyond your own that it makes it futile to play. 2) 5 star shards are almost impossible to get. I don't pay for app games so I feel that unless you play story only, it's a complete cash grab.

The game is kinda bad, there is not enough spaces to get more characters, and they want you to use the super rare currency just to open up a slot, and it racks up. That's a poor design they got here. If you only want to have fun for like 5 minutes this game is for you, other than that I'd look somewhere else

need faster upgrades, and I love the graphics. The game gets better and better. Getting better. But still need faster upgrades.been playing this game over 5 years .I should be ranked better I play everyday. 12/20/2021. U guys got to do better with ranking up characters for people that play everyday . Thatz how u lose interest in games

The constant addition of new characters would be nice, but without any changes to in game currencies and the Cover system it means you're forever less and less capable of making meaningful progress.

A lot of fun, but it takes time to develop strategy and build character strength (so, not ideal for casual playing). I play every day and while it was frustrating to figure things out for the first few months, is been well over a year now and I love MPQ!

I have played this game for years, easily 6 or more. I use to play it daily. Then a year or so ago the game hit a bug. The amount of iso you can store is a long int, and it flipped over from 2 billion to like 80. So years of work wiped out instantly. Used to give it 5 stars. Now I just kind of half heartedly play it.

I've played this game for years and go back and forth on it. While it is unique in that each character has special abilities, which allows you to create teams that work together in different ways, it simply has too many issues to rate higher. For PVP, you are matched against much more powerful players, making it impossible to win. The story quests are repetitive, requiring you to play the same missions over and over. The only way to advance is to use real money to buy and level characters.

The original RPG/Match-3 game and STILL the best out. (has community w/chat once you join a team/guild) This is the ONLY mobile game I still play almost every day for YEARS. (DP Daily✔️) It really is THAT good! With smart clever gameplay MPQ never gets old/boring. There's absolutely NO NEED to spend cash to win but if you do spend a few bucks then they will reward you PLUS your team! I suggest that It's always a good idea to spend a few bucks anyway just to show support😉) Thanks guys! -🖖

Let's be honest and truthful. This is a great game and I enjoy playing it, but if you are not willing to shell out alot of money after you have advanced considerably, then find something else. Even if you GRIND DAILY, and have your favorite team maxed, the "updates " do power changes in the characters so even though you worked hard to get your character where you wanted them, suddenly their powers have reduced effects and you are back to square one.
