The available contents and the pricing are great, but the interface could be much better. A few things that would make life easier: - being able to search for, and access directly, a specific issue number - being able to select multiple issues/a while series for bulk operations like downloading - make the library available offline - starting the app in offline mode/accessing a downloaded issue takes way too long (longer than in online mode), it looks like it's waiting for a connection timeout

Frankly I like this app. Since I'm not entirely familiar with all the Marvel Universe, I'm glad that I can read all the comics I want anytime and anywhere. However, I regret that it is so hard to put comics into the library... I mean, if I want to put an entire series, I have to go on every comics one by one. It takes forever so I'd be glad if you could improve this, by putting a multiple select feature for example ! It is quite easy and so useful ! Thanks for hearing me !

Content is great, the interface is good but can be better. The reading experience is good, the app zooms into the boxes automatically. The discovery and navigation is ok, but has important faults. You can pin a reading list to the home screen, but when you're done reading a book, it doesn't take you to the next in your reading list. You have to return to the homepage, scroll down to the reading list, tap it, scroll down to the next chapter, tap it, wait for it to load, then tap to again to read.

I love it, but being on a phone is hard. The auto-zoom mode helps, but what I'd like even more is to be able to put it on my 10' Kindle Fire... without having to modify my Fire to handle the Play Store, or to hunt for an unofficial download. They keep making improvements, but I have to echo some requests I've seen: the ability to add an entire storyline that goes through multiple comics would be a big help. So would the ability to make a queue...set a list of comics to read in order.

I understand why it's so EXPENSIVE, You get all the new/old marvel comics, All in one place. The app is easy to understand and use even for beginners. My only complaint is the loading time, Almost Everytime you move to the next panel it has to load, I have unlimited data so it shouldn't be an issue but something to look into if it's not from my side

I love this app but it freezes constantly. Everytime I open the app it freezes and then each time I finish a comic it freezes. I've been enjoying this app for seven years and have no plans to stop. But it has been freezing constantly since the most recent update. I was told to report the issue online at Marvel Help, but that was weeks ago and there has been no communication or change. Really hope the next update fixes because the constant freezing makes me want to stop using the service.

The only reason I gave four stars is because I constantly have to turn my phone every few boxes. I'm sure they're kept in such a way to preserve/replicate the feel of reading an actual comic book, but it's very frustrating. I wish the developers would reformat the vertical boxes to enlarge/stretch if the user's phone is horizontal. Aside from that, it's a fantastic app, and I'm considering keeping it after my free trial. My only hindrance being, the cost is a bit steep.

pretty good! most of the recent marvel library is present, good picture quality, i'd say worth a tenner a month if you like it. my only real gripes are some UX stuff: when reading a series, say, House of X, the next issue is the one next in the BOOK, not the overall list. plus, zooming manually is kind of a pain, more often than not it ends up flipping pages, but still, good overall.

I love the idea of the app but a ton of things need improving -Overall, whatever reader they're using is extremely slow and seems CPU intensive. Obviously, we want to read comics in solid quality, but the reader shouldn't have to put as much effort as it does -There needs to be some type of solution to mass downloading series. It takes way too much effort as of now to pick comics for download, it should be as simple as checking boxes instead of a separate menu for each individual download.

Great value, poor navigation- wish I could access it via browser! I love the inclusion of Event lists- it's nice to be able read, say, all of Civil War or Siege. But I can't just set that list as a playlist to read through in order! I have to manually go back to the playlist after each issue and select that one. It feels like a shame that such a helpful feature is so clumsy in execution. Also if I zoom in to read small text, and scroll left or right, it loads the next page. Very annoying.

My review was 5 stars in 2020 but then they updated it and it's much more difficult to use. The search is harder to navigate. Try searching for xmen. It took me forever to find volume 2. After you finish an issue, it shows you the next one, which is fine unless you want to read something else or go back to your downloads. It needs a better menu. The new things that got added like the front page are fine but shouldn't have replaced the basic features. This app seems to have devolved.

This app has made great strides to improve itself since the disastrous September overhaul. It's even added features that make it potentially superior to the old version. But there are still basic UI and quality of life fixes that need to be addressed. Why isn't the home menu docked to all screens? Why don't we have a grid view back yet or the ability to multiple select books for various tasks? What is going on with the Continue Reading button within every series? It's completely broken.

I like it quite a bit, but with unlimited downloads now being a thing, it'd be nice if there was a convenient means of mass downloading, such as the ability to download a series, or select a list to download, instead of having to individually hit download on every issue. I also wish I could disable smart panel's gesture, as I sometimes accidentally turn it on while reading an issue and I generally prefer not to use the feature at all. If those things were addressed, this app would be a 5 star.

Coming back to this app after 7 months and there's a huge difference as a lot of the features I previously enjoyed have returned. There were a few sync issues where my library was empty at first, only to refresh a week or so later after I had already gone through and re-added everything I wanted to read, and there are still issues where smart reader clips the panel, or displays them out of order, but otherwise it's a return to previous form for me

Great app. It's definitely better than having to buy each individual copy of an issue to read them. Could be more user friendly on the downloading side. It will be nice to be able to select multiple downloads to delete after reading or a delete after reading option. A way to select multiple issues to save to my library or to download would be nice instead of having to click on each individually. However, it's still a great app to read Marvel comics.

Like many others, I am very displeased with the UI. The search functions In particular are not user friendly. I like to read comics are n chronological order, which is possible again, however you can't type in the date, you have to scroll to the month and year EVERY time.(it does not retain previous filters used ). It also does not filter out comics marked as already read. It is unbelievable that this app made it through QA. It's missing so many basic functionality features. Still not fixed.

This App is 13 years old! I've had it for more than seven years. The catalogue came a long way, they are constantly adding back issues. The app could use some work: custom reading lists, and other user-driven organizational tools. I'm updating my review to say MU set smart panel view back recently and now it's jarring, especially when it expands from one part of a panel to the other. Smart panel was much better before the overhaul. I've used this app on 3 continents, no disruption.

All the marvel comics you want. Its a good app. The UI is weird. Any tap or swipe takes a second or two to get a reaction, even the simplest axtions. Dont like how i cant zoom in on the pages, the swipe reaction is slow and lags a lot, downloads are slow, i hav to download each comic in series individually instead of a download series button.

They used to have a tab where you could click on and see every comic they had available in alphabetical order. Some genius thought it would be a good idea to remove that whole tab. Leaving only a search bar that will only show results for full matches. What I mean by that is you can't simple type "T" and see all the comics they have available that starts with the letter "T". You would have to match some full word. Just want the full catalog tab back, so I can see what you have to offer.

So, the search bar is dumb, if you type iron man instead of ironman for example it wont find anything(it does it with a lot of words), if you try zooming in to read then try to move around while zoomed in it will just change pages (seriously guys? This was an issue on smartphones about 10 years ago, thought we were past this) Then the random changes between the "smart mode" or whatever. And on s22 ultra, the screen goes all the way up to the camera, and if theres a dialogue you cant read it.

Mixed bag, while the content looks incredible and the graphics clear navigation isn't very intuitive or easy. Getting back to the home page it is easier to close the app and restart than to fumble around. The one display criticism I have is that it is only in portrait mode, on my tablet having the option of landscape display would make things easier for me because of physical issues.

Thanks to this app, I've been able to start my Venom obsession (lol) & read every single Venom comic & other cool stories. The price is worth it! 4 stars because the search feature can get a bit clunky and while the reading lists are a good idea, I'd like to be able to create and save my own reading lists. Since I was doing a Venom read through, I had to research to find which comics to read in the right order, and had to do a lot of hopping back and forth between searches.

I was buying tons of TPB's and it was adding up to a lot of money. But with this, $60 for a whole year and I can read just about everything that's been released.. EVER?! This is awesome! It's perfect for the reader who's fallen behind on some stories or even wants to explore different ones and doesn't want to drop $$$ just to catch up. I love it.

Hope you don't mind some arithmetic in this review. How do you go from 4 stars to 2? The answer is 1 update. The new interface is abysmal. It prompts me to resume series I was reading literally years ago and never revisited, but constantly loses the series I am reading presently from my "continue reading" section. Also, please put browsing back the way it was. I would often "roulette" titles by randomly selecting and this is not conducive.

Dear God, this app is such a mess. Let me start by saying that the available content is great, and there's no better bang for your buck in comics. But everything about the user experience is rough. The overhaul last September eliminated so much basic functionality. 7 months later I still can't filter by read/unread, the search is baffling, simple features are gone. The Continue Reading feature was JUST fixed. Maybe in another 7 months they'll let you keep your screen awake while reading. Alas.

4/15/22 update. Still loving this app, my focus now is on reading order and storyline. I wish you would set up bigger storyline much like your omnis. Some are, some aren't. Do more complete events and you used to have secret Wars 2 complete on here but no more. This app made me get an android tablet vs my pc and I love it! Thanks. Fantastic! Smooth transition between panels on Android, could use some changes for PC usage. Content is Fantastic, memories are Amazing and time spent is Uncanny!

Everytime I close the app and reopen it to read an issue I get nothing but the hydra skull. Then I have to uninstall and reinstall the app. I've tried force stopping, signing out and back in, resetting my wifi and mobile connection. Nothing but the reinstall of the app works. I've messaged customer service MULTIPLE TIMES. All I ever get back is we're working on it. Well it's been a month and nothing. Good job and wonderful service..........

Upping to 3-star because recent updates have returned some functions that were inexplicably removed after last year's horrible rework of the app. Bizarre lack of navigation buttons when reading or finishing books (leading to, often, three layers of backing up to get back to the homescreen) hasn't changed. Most recent update of currently reading section is SUPER glitched, with issues from mid-run of old series I've finished being served up as needing to be read. Was a 5-star app.
