Masimo Personal Health

* This App is only for use with the iSpO2 pulse oximeter or MightySat fingertip pulse oximeter (hardware module). This App together with the Masimo iSpO2 pulse oximeter or MightySat fingertip pulse oximeter (which must be purchased separately) will allow you to non-invasively measure blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate. The compatible Masimo devices are available for sale in select countries only. Visit us at www.MasimoPersonalHealth.com to find out how you may purchase a Masimo device.
From the leader in hospital pulse oximetry, Masimo’s iSpO2 pulse oximeter and MightySat fingertip pulse oximeter allow you to non-invasively measure blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate through motion and low perfusion.

• The MightySat fingertip pulse oximeter also provides perfusion index (PI) and pleth variability index (PVI®) measurements.
• View your measurements in real time, track and trend your measurement history, and share your data through email.
• Featuring Masimo® Signal Extraction Technology® (SET®), which has been shown to provide accurate pulse oximetry measurements during the challenging conditions of motion and low perfusion (blood flow) to the fingers, which reduces false alarms and increases true alarm detection¹.
• For 25 years, Masimo has been focused on a singular mission–to take noninvasive patient monitoring to new sites and applications. Visit www.Masimo.com to learn why clinicians worldwide know and trust Masimo for patient care.
• Masimo pulse oximeters are available in different models with varying features. Please visit www.MasimoPersonalHealth.com to choose the right device for your needs.

Measurements:

◦ %SpO2 – Oxygen saturation of arterial blood◦ PR – Pulse rate measured in beats per minute (BPM), also known has heart rate.◦ PI – Perfusion Index indicates arterial pulse signal strength◦ PVI – Pleth Variability Index is a measure of the dynamic changes in PI that occur during the respiratory cycle. PVI is displayed as a percentage (0-100%).◦ RRp – Respiration rate monitoring derived from the plethysmographic waveform measures a patient's respiratory rate based on amplitude changes that correspond to the respiratory cycle.

The app is great now. With the new update, 05/03/2022, it has the breaths per minute and pleth variability parameters that were not available before. And the new UI is a lot better. All the info at a glance. It was about time. I used it on an iPhone before but now I use it on my galaxy note which is my main phone. Thank you Masimo. Now i noticed the Heart Rate Recovery Rate feature is missing. I hope it is included too because it's very useful.

Since the latest update, it no longer works with my iSpO2, which makes it a useless piece of equipment. Not happy at all!!

Infuriating to use. No directions/instructions whatsoever, everything is trial and error. After hours of attempts, cannot get it to transfer recorded data {"History") by Gmail, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive. No combination of permission settings for the app or the places you try to transfer it to will allow the data to be attached to the email or sent to the cloud drives.

This app is only half functional hence the 3 stars. While the app is simple enough to set up and use to connect a MightySAT to a LG K30 cell phone, the app is broken and needs a major update to allow users to transfer their history. Emailing via GMail does not work and neither does uploading to GDrive. I tried connecting the phone to a PC via a USB cable to transfer the files, but I was unable to find the history. Please fix the file transfer function otherwise Masimo hardware is only partially useful. This app has not been updated since 2016 which reflects poor support by Masimo

The app will not export the CSV files it is advertised to do. If I wanted a snapshot of what my blood oxygen data was I would have bought something much cheaper. My sole purpose in buying this device was its advertised ability to export longer trend data. Someone wrote the same basic critique as I have just done and I can confirm that it behaves just as it did when he wrote his review going on 3 years ago. I tried every single option available in the app to see if any of them work, Outlook gives me an IO error, gmail, android email, cloud and google drive end up giving you either an empty email with no attachment or in the case of google drive or cloud services nothing happens. Phones can download multi MB picture files when connect to a wifi network in the blink of an eye, A CSV file is small in comparison and should be exported with ease. Based on the last developer update being in 2016 I suspect that it is basically an orphan device that they are no longer truly supporting. As of today, I would advise STRONGLY against buying this device since many accurate snapshot devices re available at a fraction of the cost

It does work with the Mightystat, but has no customization options other than on/off sound. I would like to see different sound options for the beep, able to set a custom rule where it beeps if it goes to a certain oxygen level or certain pulse. Also, you should offer skins for what's on the pulseox screen. Make skins than can make certain numbers bigger! Please tell me you have plans on improving and adding options to this app!

I purchased a Masimo MightySat in the hopes it would all run smooth and use the most advanced software and hardware. I opted to use Duracell instead of the shipped batteries only to find out it wouldnt work. I had to install the generic batteries it shipped with for it to function. How can it use generic batteries but not use Duracell which is far better? I downloaded the app to find out it was last updated in 2016! And the Android phones which it connects to are old phones. Not functional!

Works, but it only works when it is the focused app (i.e. the app being displayed). It also needs to work in the background ( easy to do). That way, for instance, you can run a workout app while capturing HR, Spot in the background. For me, its kind of useless as is.

This app is woefully out of date. It does not cover the more recent Android OS versions and has a very limited list of compatible ( mostly older) devices. Personal profiles cannot be setup to use with newer smartphones.

After 2 calls to Tech support, still can't connect to Android phone. Before I called, It worked for about 4 hours then stopped. Support gave up. Tried lots of remedies but none worked. They will replace Oximeter but I think their real problem is the Android app Oximeter works fine on IPhone 7.

I don't know what people are complaining about. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 and I had no problems connecting my Masimo MightySat. I have seen screenshots of the previous version of the app and it looks better than the current version.

The Android version does not offer the TrainingPeaks integration that the ios app does. As a user if you want to sync your MightySat data with TrainingPeaks the Android platform does NOT offer that key feature.

This app wasn't updated for more than three years! I wish this app would get the same features as the iOS app has. E.g.: I'm missing a multi-user history.

Chr. L. May 29, 2020

This App is old and out of data, the only way I could download my history is by whatsapp all other methods fail. This App needs a serious update!

App hasn't been updated since 2016, will not work with newer devices (Android 10)

Ric. S. Apr 4, 2020

C'mon, really the last update was 2016? You should be ashamed. The device is fantastic but this app sux.

Eri. N. Jul 19, 2020

Does not work. Says not connected no matter what I try

Car. A. May 19, 2020

You need a physical probe by Massimo for this app to work.

The app and sensor work great, but data cannot be emailed. Data seems accurate, app is easy to use, and plots are beautiful. But there is no way to get the data out. Advertising and user manual claim a .csv file can be emailed. There are two ways to do this (press the "share" button or press "email history" in the "history" submenu). Both result in an empty email that you can edit and send...resulting in the same email (no data). I also tried "upload to drive" but no file is created in my Google drive.

MightySat with respiration rate too!

YMA. Y. Mar 21, 2015

I purchased the hardware module from amazon not knowing anything about SpO2. But because of this app/hardware my daughter is saved. All I can say this app is capable of reading SpO2 when medical grade devices failed to read due to my 8 month old daughter rapidly moving, the doctor at the office baught herself one after that. I never wrote a review before but you've gotta thank the people behind this awsome life saver technology.

Very accurate and useful. Much better than a lot of the toys that are out there.

This is the most accurate noninvasive device out there, this is the best
