This is a barebones app that amazingly still works perfectly with the main game it supports. It does exactly what it says on the tin and considering the age of Mass Effect Andromeda now that's impressive that it's still supported to do so. Also, I'll address a post from another reviewer who erroneously thought it was a flaw to have Gold missions not be a 100% guarantee even after levelling a team; That's the point! They offer the greatest rewards & therefore still must represent a level of risk
Awful. It forces you to authenticate with EA servers, which are already some of the most inconsistent logins and worst kept servers on the planet, and generally displays "Oops, there was an error". I've had to reinstall twice in 2 days because of a litany of errors, ranging from unreadable images, to non responsive UI, to the aforementioned screen after every single completed mission. This last one is a problem because there is no way to check a mission summary for APEX missions. A train wreck.
The app is great for keeping your squads active without having to launch the whole game, but the touch /drag /swipe motion sensitivity is horrendous, especially with the homepage widget customization. Even scrolling up and down a page can easily accidentally be registered as a left /right page swipe navigation.
Surprisingly stable for a companion app. Would be nice if you could get better summaries of teams / scroll between team summary cards - as it is, there's a lot of dipping in and out of cards to compare numbers, but it's nothing onerous.
It has been working absolutely fine for the last few months but I just went to use it 2 mins ago and an error message has come up saying my xbox privacy is on and I should turn it off. I haven't changed any settings at all and now I'm not able to use the app it's a shame I enjoyed using it.
Still works and syncs to the game perfectly and without issue. I get to 200 items quickly and can't do gold missions even with a beefed up level 20 team. Kind of pointless having gold missions wih no way to complete them. Max percentage I have with it is 40%. Would give this a 5 star but there is no way to complete gold missions, not even an option to pay to complete those missions.
Still a great game and the app works great aswell even still to this day, i only wish you guys had kept working on it. ME:A still has a lot of bugs but not any that are game breaking. Anyways thanks for the app its helpful when you're off on a planet and need to check your squads for new missions or to check up on rewards. Also can we please get a remaster of the ME Trilogy for current gen consoles please? Maybe next geb if nothing else? There just around the cornor and it would be great! Thanks
Really useful app for organising strike teams as well as Multiplayer loadout/skills. Rated it 4/5 due to it messing up related in-game trophies (if going for the "level a team to level 20" trophy, make sure to uninstall the app before sending your lv19 team out on the mission that will raise it to 20 or the trophy won't pop).
Good companion game for Mass Effect Andromeda with in game rewards. It's nice to grow your teams and develop their specialties. Very limited options, and you're just sending them on missions. Nice interface though.
This app glitched out the Top Talent trophy. I promoted a strike team to level 20 in the app and the trophy would not unlock in the game on my PS4. What's the point of even using the app if you get screwed out of the achievement? Absolute garbage.
Very useful to get hordes of extra research points, kit and credits in between games. I don't do the multilayer so I've no idea how to do anything with it other than farm stuff using my strike teams but huge benefits in game just for that. Could be more user friendly as I've no idea how to do anything else and lots of things seem shut off to point u at the game (ie equipping your strike teams) which is annoying given I'm playing on the app because I can't get on the game itself but not a biggy.
If you still play this game and want to control your APEX teams remotely (so you can get rewards while at work, school, etc.) then this app is great. It functions just fine despite the game itself not having updates since 2017. Ignore the people complaining that servers are down. I tried it before this review and it functioned perfectly!
Not working. On new Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus it just hangs. Edit: in order to get this app working, you should clean its cache and reboot your phone. It's crazy, but it works.
I can't believe this app still works how many years later! Simple app but it gets the job done. Now I can actually remember to deploy my strike teams even when I'm not on the Tempest.
I started playing Mass Effect Andromeda again and am doing more of the side content instead of blasting through it like my first play through back when it first came out. This app helps me take advantage of being full time at work and using apex to get teams to complete missions.
Garbage! You haven't updated the app for nearly 2 years! Unable to connect to EA servers mostly likely due to the server being shut down. Just pull the app from the store, it is useless anyhow!
Need to login again all the time. Have a login bug that prevents from using sometimes. (combine those two things and have a bad experience) Plus you can't log with your game running..
#microsoftsavebioware #microsoftbuybioware because look at this. Just look at this beautiful app AAA titles couldn't even be bothered by. This is for a side feature in a game who's development got cut extremely short. Imagine if they had the freedom and budget and time of Microsoft. RIP bioware 2021. All hope for gaming left with you. I love you.. you will always be in our hearts
No longer works with xbox version of the game. It prompts you to change privacy settings but after doing this the game still won't login.
Decided to finally leave a review. I used this when the game came out, it's a solid app made it fun when I was at work to briefly give me the feeling that was still playing the game while away. Nice touch that I would mind having for future games.
Mass Effect Andromeda is a much better game now than it was on release and I'm looking forward to using this app to run my Apex Strike Team's. If you're interested but on the fence about it from the negative reception this masterpiece received, you have to be brave and go for it now. Life in the Andromeda galaxy has never been more enjoyable than it is now !
Discovered how to fix lockout saying "change privacy settings." Just log back into the game and access Apex through one of the terminals. App allows reload after that.
Does as expected works great for me when im away and still want to run missions. If im bored i look and all characters and build diff depending on what i want to try in mult
I've recently downloaded this app I've come to an issue where my strike teams can't be launched even though my PlayStation 4 is powered off so it is not on Mass effect Andromeda the game right now but every time I try to launch a strike team on this app it says please exit the game so what sort of twisted rats nest of a problem it's going on fix it
app doesn't even work just keeps saying to fix my Xbox privacy settings i did the steps for troubleshooting this multiple times also tried contacting them through Twitter no one answers waste of time downloading the app
great i can go and prepare for a mission reset skills or fix a build or even folllow a build that i recently found, send out strike teams while im currently away from my pc but the one sad thing doesnt work for consol :/ but overall VERY NOICE I Love it
was trying to link this to my xbox account and instead it linked it to a pc verzion that i dont play and now i cant get it to switch to the one that i actually play. need a way to fix it so that i can actually use it to help my xbox one account
This bare-bones app still functions as a strike team manager even after three years without an update. This thing is fresh from 2017. Cool. As for Andromeda: it's not the Mass Effect that everyone expected, but it is the beautiful buggy bag of fun and futility that we deserve. I kinda dig the whole sci-fi explorer shtick, even with the broken bits. The multi-player is...well, at least it's better than previous games. Still...meh. Overall, it was worth every penny of ~$10. 🤙
